Sometimes Kim Dokja feels so light, like he is floating. Sometimes voices sound as if they were spoken underwater. Sometimes he can feel the sensation of cold metal pressed against his skin. Sometimes he can see the flickering of lights at the corner of his eyes. Sometimes... sometimes... he does not know who he is. But today is not like those days.
Today, he woke up to the warmth of a tight embrace. Today, he hears laughter and happy calls of his name. Today, he feels the touch of rough scarred hands caressing his skin. Today, he is greeted to the sight of the family he has chosen. Today, he knows who he is, he knows who he fights for, he knows who he loves, he knows the happy ending they all wanted has started.
Right now, like this day, is a time to live.
