An Adventurer's Life for Me

Summary:

A glimpse into the lives of ten adventurers on Azeroth, Draenor, Argus, and many other places, in fluid timelines that may or may not have never happened.

Notes:

I've been playing Hearthstone a lot lately, and the Mercenaries have inspired me to start writing about them.

Chapter Text

"As the great tree is made stronger by the grove, so am I made stronger by my friends."

Tamsin was an undead monstrosity, and she looked the part.

But even she couldn't stop herself from smiling, ever so slightly, when Guff said that.

It was nice, to have someone who hadn't abandoned her to rot in the ground who appreciated her for who she was.

"Besides, my friends are much nicer to hug! C'mere!"

Tamsin's body was no longer alive. She had died when the Scourge laid waste to Scholomance, and the process of gaining her living will back as she became a Forsaken had not bothered to restore her living flesh.

Her body still managed to send spikes of adrenaline throughout itself when she heard that, though.

"Wait, no-!" She started to protest, part of her already tensing up, knowing it was too late.

"BEAR HUG!"

As the large and perhaps too-friendly tauren scooped up her, Rokara, Bru'kan, and Dawngrasp into an embrace at the same time, the four other members of the Horde all made the same noise.

"GACK!"
