Work Text:
Jack is everything Epel has dreamed of time and time again. Strong, masculine, muscular, and as capable as he seems. But there is an unexpected kindness to him that makes Epel stumble and falter; dimension to the idea of idolization that stills his envy and, against all expectation, flutters his heart, too.
“I’m not—” Jack is saying, stuttering, “—I’m not familiar with this.”
Epel smiles. “That’s okay.”
Jack inhales. The adoration that swims in his gaze is just as tangible as the strength of his arms — encircling Epel’s waist, holding him close.
“I love you,” Epel says, and kisses him.
