Clark loves being affectionate with Bruce, especially when they are in uniform. He always looks so serious as Batman, and it's nice to fluster him a bit and break that tough façade, even if only for a moment. It was cute, really, how easy it was to make him blush. All it took was a few soft touches and maybe a light-hearted compliment, then bam, red as a tomato. Bruce constantly complained afterward, saying that it was unprofessional and embarrassing, but his elevated heartbeat gave away how much he enjoyed it. The other League members also found it amusing, though they did better at hiding it.
He couldn't help but feel smug about being the only person who would dare touch the Batman for any other reason than an absolute emergency, excluding his family. Even Diana kept her hands off after learning of his touch aversion, and she was the most physical out of all of them.
"I don't know how you do it. He's just so…" Green Lantern said while they were alone.
"Scowly?"
"Not exactly the word I was going for, but yeah."
"He's not that bad, just a little rough around the edges. Just a big ol' bat-shaped teddy bear, really."
"I'm going to have to take your word for it. I want to stay breathing."
Little did he know, Bruce overheard the whole thing. Clark had no idea what he got himself into or how vindictive Bruce could be.

Bruce Wayne is having another one of his galas, and Clark was sent off to report on it. No one knew about their relationship, except Lois and Jimmy, at the Daily planet, but he was still the first choice to go to these things. He had a feeling it was because Wayne seemed to like him better and gave him more exclusives than other the other reporters, including Lois, who usually could charm her way into any story. It also helped that he didn't despise Gotham like some of his fellow co-workers. However, he did not expect how Bruce would behave once he got there.
The second he arrived, Bruce was practically glued to his side. Sure, he was flirty with him during their interviews together, but this was…excessive. Sometimes he forgot how different he was from his superhero persona, like how much more comfortable he was with public displays of affection. They spent the whole party together with his arms wrapped around him and lips by his ear, whispering about how happy he was to have his favorite reporter to keep him company. Suddenly, Clark wasn't feeling all that confidence he had as Superman.
He thought he might get a break when he offered him a place to sit. Nope. Bruce immediately sat down on his lap, ignoring the chair across from them.
"Not so brave without your suit, are you now?"
Son of a bitch.
"This is payback?"
"You're not the only one who can tease, Kent."
From then on, Clark used much more restraint with his PDA while they were on duty unless he wanted to provoke Bruce like that again (which he did on occasion).
