(A/N: This AU, instead of one team from each prefecture, its three teams so Shiratorizawa and Aoba Johsai are there too knocking off some of the minor teams ofc, this is after the time they had the training camp with Fukurodani and Nekoma with the other major teams coming due to some circumstances causing them to join the others and have it at Shiratorizawa instead.

It was a normal day of training camp after the spring finals, the teams were given a month off before it so the teams got some practice in before their finals. They were having a mix practice match between the schools when the doors to the gym slammed opened.
“I am so sorry I’m late captain, I woke up late than Kei’s car wouldn’t start and I had to drop him off at work, and then there was traffic on the way. I’m sorry-.“ said a tall and very familiar orange haired which made the teams stare at him in shock
“Shoyo?” said Kenma in shock as he stared at the older version of his friend.
“Ken-ken? What are you doing at practice…” said Hinata as he finally caught his breathe and looked up, he blinked in shock as he saw the younger versions of his old high school team and their friends. “I- … Hi.”
“Are you me from the future?” asked the younger Hinata.
“Hey little me and yes I am. Hm looking at all of you I’d say it’s my first year and before nationals?”
“Yes, my disciple,” says the happy owl who came to see who came in.
Before the older Hinata could say another word he got a call, his eyes widened in surprise and slight fear. He quickly excused himself and went outside to answer the call;
“Captain?”
“Where are you Hinata, neither you nor Miya, Bokuto or Sakusa are here and all four of you are late.”
“I don’t know about the other three but I got a problem.”
“What kind of problem that you had to miss practice?”
Hinata than explained his day, “other than that I don’t know what happened to the other three, maybe something came up at the shop or something. Have you tried calling them?”
“Oh no of course I forgot to call them silly me, what did you think was the first thing I did?” said the MSBY captain, Meian Shuugo.
“Sorry captain, I just don’t know what to do, and don’t know how long I’ll be here-,”said Hinata but got interrupted by another slam of the gym doors.
There at the door stood 3 young adults, one with black curly hair, two-toned black and white hair and a fake blonde. They were puffing;
“I’m sorry Cap, Samu needed help at the shop and Omi here is my ride and then we met Bokuto on the way,” said an older Miya Atsumu as he stood panting next to an older Bokuto Kotaro and Sakusa Kyoumi.
“He’s right it’s my fault, my car broke down and I had to wait for the service people, but than my phone died so I was just walking as I thought it was not that far from here but-,” said Bokuto in a rush while also trying to catch his breath.
“Nevermind Captain, they’re here,” said Hinata.
“All three of them?”
“All three of them,” he said as the three aforementioned still haven’t noticed the other teams, who were just staring at the three in shock. “I’ll call you back later I don’t think they’ve noticed our situation.
“Ok, stay safe. And don’t reveal too much who knows what will happen.”
“Ok set captain and thanks,” with that Hinata hung up. “Hey guy’s captain is the least of our troubles right now.”
“Huh? What you mean Sho-kun?” said Atsumu as he turned to Hinata.
“Well for one thing, them,” as he pointed off to the side.
Three blinked at their audience in shock recognize the younger versions of themselves and their friends.
“Atsumu/Atsu/Miya?” as soon as their senses returned, they started calling out their friends/brother.
“Kyoomi/Omi-omi?”
“Bokuto/Bokuto-san?”
“Hehe hi guys.”
“Do you know anything Shoyo?”
“No, but we seemed to have entered an alternate universe,” said Hinata, thinking.
“Huh? What you mean?” said Akaashi, this made the four jump as they had forgotten about the other group.
“Well for one thing, we never had this training camp. We only had the one with Nekoma, Fukurodani, Shinzen and Ubugawa. And Atsu we didn’t even meet till the competition, you met-,” said Hinata as he started going through his memories.
“Right, I met Tobio first,” said Atsumu.
“Right and-,” after that they went to sort out the timeline before asking the audience who had gone back to practicing reluctantly while waiting for the four. After a while they managed to get everything sorted, Hinata took a short walk to the managers to discuss what was happening.
“Hey, Hina- Sho-.”
The older Hinata just laughed at their plight, “Just call me Hina or Sho, you already call me younger self Hinata.”
“Ok.”
“I just realized, you guys are wearing the same logo on your t-shirts and pants,” said Daichi as he finally took notice of their clothes.
“Not only that, those seemed to Volleyball attire,” said Kuroo in shock.
“I know those logos, that’s a MSBY Logo,” said Ushijima as he studied the print on the fours clothes.
“As in the Volleyball team?”
“Hehe yeah,” said Hinata in embarrassment.
“Hey, I know why don’t we have a small match?” said the younger Atsumu.
The four looked at each other, “I mean, at least the captain won’t kill us if we didn’t practice while we are here,” said Atsumu.
“True, plus don’t we have a match with Frogs in a few days?” said Kiyoomi.
“Hey, hey, hey and we get to see how Tsuki has been doing,” said Kotaro.
“Don’t call me that,” said the young Tsukishima. “Wait I still play Volleyball?”
“Yep and a good one too considering who are your team mates and assistant coach,” said Hinata.
“Who?” said Nishinoya as he stood with Tanaka.
“Can’t say at least until we know for sure if it’s alternate universe or a travel back in time,” said Hinata with his arms crossed looking serious.
“When is that?” asked Ennoshita.
“Guess we will know when we know,” shrugged Bokuto. “So practice match?”
“Though we have to tone it down a bit as only Ushijima who might be able to keep up with us,” said Sakusa thoughtfully.
“Fair enough.”
Then they played it was a close one with the four up against Ushijima, Sakusa, Oikawa and Komori. It was a close one but the group from the future won, they took a break and grabbed some lunch before going back to practicing.
Then after dinner, they had a massive sleepover in one of the courts where everyone mingled and exchange stories and advice. They were having an overall good time, they decided to play little games before bed.
“Hey, Hina?”
“Yes, Kiyoko.” She asked about their relationships.
“Well, yes we did find out about it after nationals when me and my then boyfriend had come out to the team.”
“So how many did I get right?”
“You mixed mine for one,” said Hinata as he smiled at her.
“And mine,” piped up Kotaro who was talking with Kuroo, Akaashi, Kenma and his younger self.
“And mine,” said Atsu who was having a conversation with Samu and some of the other Inarizaki players.
“You pegged me as ace,” said Kiyo who was sitting next to Atsu.
“You’re not?” said a slightly disappointed Kiyoko.
“Not sure about my counterpart but I’m demi.”
“I’m bi,” piped up Kotaro.
“Pan,” said Hina
“Gay,” said Atsu.
They talked on for a bit but then it was interrupted by a phone call, they looked to see that it Hina’s.
“I’ll take this, excuse me,” with that Hina walked out, the others went back to their conversations but didn’t notice a blonde following Hinata out.
“Hey, Kei,” said Hina as he answered the call, the blonde stiffened slightly.
“…” was said over the phone.
“Yeah, sorry about that. We were practicing with the teams here, you know how Meian can be if we didn’t practice.”
“…”
“Sorry Kei, I guess we got caught up with everything here we forgot to contact our significant others… Does Akaashi and Samu know?”
“…”
“Hehe, sorry Kei. Its been real hectic avoiding some things from the future that might foretell here, but we know for sure that it’s an alternate universe considering we didn’t have a training camp after the one with Fukurodani and Nekoma.”
“…”
“Yeah, for here its, remember the training camp we had after our after Shiratorizawa? Yeah, that’s the only thing we know for now is different we don’t know what else might be same or different…”
“…”
“Oh Toru is in town?”
“…”
“Relax Kei, what we had in the past is the past. Besides he’s with Iwaizumi.”
“…”
“Ok, I’ll hopefully see you tomorrow. Bye and love you too.”
And with that he hung up, Hina turned around only to see Tsukishima behind him. “Tsuki-.”
“So I was right, I did confess to you,” he said as he looked at Hina.
“How’d you-.”
“Subtle isn’t exactly your forte, I could see you glancing at me every so often.”
Hina turned red, “Well I- uh.”
“Don’t worry I won’t tell the others,” with that Tsukishima turned to go back inside.
“Don’t know for sure if my counterpart here will be the same, since there is a few differences between our two realities as I have mentioned before with my Kei.” He got a nod in return and went back inside.
Not long after that they all went to sleep, after a long night of story-telling and mini-games.
~The next day~
They were in the middle of another practice match with different people this time when the doors to the gym opened, the all turned to see a tall male with mid-length slick back hair with a sturdy built. The other teams were confused but those from a different dimension weren’t, confusion was cleared as soon as Bokuto opened his mouth.
“Captain!!!” said the ever so loud Owl looking male.
“I guess it’s time to go back home, huh?” said Sakusa as he paused in their game.
“Right you are,” said the male smiling.
“Well I guess it’s time to go, thanks everyone for everything,” said Atsumu as he smiled at everyone.
“It was a pleasure having you,” said Coach Ukai as he stood with the other coaches.
“Samu, I notice you are a bit like my own twin so don’t be afraid to tell him ok? And if you need help maybe keep Kita on the side to help or maybe Sakusa,” advised Atsu as he noticed that Samu was like his so he knew that he needed that to tell his twin now rather than later on like his did.
“Sakusa, don’t be afraid to open up to him, it works wonders and it helps,” said Kiyo as he and the rest of his group started packing up.
“Bokuto, don’t be afraid to open yourself up to other. They won’t judge you especially not Akaashi, Kuroo and Kenma, they are your friends,” Kotaro said as he helped pack up the bags.
“Suga, keep up with the good work if it weren’t for you we wouldn’t be where we are, different universe or not. Daichi and Asahi don’t soldier so much on your soldiers, you got many friends to help you through difficult times. And Tsukishima remember what I told you yesterday,”
And with one last wave and goodbye they walked out of the gym and into a blue portal taking back to their time and dimension, where they were greeted by their family and friends
There was a flash of blue light and when the teams ran out, the people from the future were gone.

The traveling quad blinked and were back in their time with their loved ones in front of them, Tsukishima for Hinata, Samu for Atsumu, Komori for Sakusa and Akaashi with Kenma and Kuroo for Bokuto. They all hugged each other glad to see one another again. The Black Jackals captain decided to give them the rest of the week off because of what happened but warned them of what's to come for the next day. The four spent the day with the loved ones because being in the past although alternate, hit too close to home, so the day was binging a few movies and snacks glad for their found family and friends
