   Summary

   Kakashi wasn’t altogether sad that they had been forced to shelter and therefore delay their arrival back in Konoha. Tenzō didn’t know it yet, but this was to be their last mission together. Kakashi hadn’t yet begun to process how his life and his routines would change but the one thing he was certain of was that he was going to miss Tenzō terribly. Thinking about breaking the news to him, which he had resolved to do sooner rather than later, was causing him more anxiety than he had felt in years. He had no idea what to say.

   It isn’t my choice, he thought as he listened to Tenzō bathing behind him. I wouldn’t leave you willingly.
