    When he first saw him after Odasaku’s death, Dazai seemed to him another person too. It looked like such an event had completely changed him, and Chuuya wasn’t sure the change was for the better.
    Chuuya couldn’t refrain from wondering whether he would be just as struck, just as sad, just as heartbroken, if he had been the one to die. He swiftly concluded, be it right or wrong, that the answer was no.
