Work Text:
Yoongi was having a tough week.
He had a major presentation at work and literally no time to finish it. His car broke down too, out of the blue, just before he had to leave for work, leaving him no other choice than using public transportation until it got fixed.
Yoongi hated public transportation. With passion.
He also wasn’t able to see his boyfriend at all because of the above reasons, so it was safe to say that he wasn’t in the best mood.
His only salvation was the thought of seeing Jimin (the said boyfriend) on Friday night, he was literally waiting for it the entire week. But then, his week became even worse when Jimin called him on Friday morning saying he might need to cancel.
“It’s Kook, he wants to go out. You know I can’t say no, you know how sad he has been lately…” Jimin was trying to explain, gently, but for Yoongi, this was the last straw.
“Oh come on! They had a fight, Jimin, a stupid one. He needs to man up and talk to Tae.”
“Right. You try to tell him that.”
Yoongi had tried, actually.
Right after the infamous fight, Yoongi tried to convince Jungkook to talk to Taehyung and sort it out.
It didn’t work.
The brat was too stubborn for his own good, insisting that Taehyung was the one who needed to apologize.
So Yoongi tried to talk to Taehyung, hoping that wisdom did come with age and that the two years between them would make a difference.
They didn’t.
Taehyung actually huffed at him, saying that Jungkook was the one at fault, and that if he wasn’t going to apologize then it was over for them.
A bit dramatic, but well, it was Taehyung.
Two weeks had passed since then, and there was no reconciliation in sight.
It was…exhausting, to say the least.
Yoongi loved them both, truly, but they had to be the dumbest couple in the history of couples. Even Yoongi knew to apologize to Jimin when needed, and Yoongi was emotionally constipated for god’s sake. So enough was enough, those idiots needed to figure their shit out on their own. Yoongi needed his boyfriend, he wasn’t going to give up.
“Yoongi…” Jimin tried to convince him.
“No. I’m not canceling our date for that dumbass. Tell him to call me if he has a problem with it. We’re meeting tonight and it’s final.”
Jimin could have insisted, but he probably wanted to see him too because he agreed way too quickly and said that he would talk to Jungkook.
And so Yoongi thought it was done.
But then, about an hour later, Jungkook facetimed him.
Like, he was smart enough to know that a simple phone call wouldn’t be enough and video called him. Yoongi probably shouldn't have answered, but then, he always had a soft spot for Jungkook.
Fuck.
He answered, and was immediately assaulted by the image of Jungkook’s teary face.
Double fuck.
“Hyung…” Jungkook whined.
Yoongi gulped.
“No.”
“B-But I didn’t ask anything yet…”
“I know what you’re going to ask and the answer is no.”
An actual tear rolled down Jungkook’s face, making Yoongi’s resolve crack .
“I really need to go out today, hyung. You don’t understand how hard it is for me…I’m not used to being alone on friday nights. I would have asked you, but you hate clubs…”
He did.
“Please, hyung.”
Oh shit, he was using THE eyes.
The famous doe eyes that melted everyone’s hearts. And he really meant everyone. Taehyung most of all because the man was whipped on top of it all. But, well, Taehyung wasn’t around to see it anymore.
A few more seconds of those eyes and Yoongi gave up.
“Fuck, just this once, and you owe me BIG, I haven’t had sex in almost two weeks, Jungkook. Two weeks!”
“Okay, first of all– ew, but also thanks, you’re the best!”
Gone were the tears, immediately replaced with a huge smile. A little too fast for Yoongi’s liking, but then, Jin had always said that Jungkook could be an actor.
“Let’s meet up for lunch soon, hyung, see ya!” Jungkook hung up, looking way too pleased, and Yoongi cursed himself internally.
Jimin would never let him live it down.
— — — — — — —
Jimin sighed to himself while he was sitting in a taxi on his way to Jungkook’s place.
It was Friday night and they were going to a club. Jimin hadn’t seen the inside of a club in a while now, probably because he had been so busy with work. He graduated from college only a year ago and his first full-time job was challenging.
He was also busy trying to maintain a healthy relationship, which proved to be even harder because Yoongi’s job was even more demanding.
Which was why he was feeling a little down at the moment.
He thought he would see his boyfriend tonight, but then Jungkook called and there was a change of plans. Even though Yoongi was adamant at first that Jimin would say no, he ended up surrendering too. It was the Jungkook’s effect, Jimin decided.
While he was sulking, he started texting with Jin, mostly about the status of Jungkook’s mental health (which he suspected- wasn’t that good).
His suspicions turned into reality when he and Jin realized that they were heading to the same place tonight. With Jungkook and Taehyung. Who may or may not have known about it beforehand.
Jimin was pretty certain that Jungkook knew. He literally demanded they went to that club, even though they had never gone there before. When Jimin asked him about it, Jungkook said that people recommended it to him.
Huh, that lying bitch.
When the taxi stopped next to Jungkook’s place, Jimin got out and went straight to Jungkook’s apartment.
His friend opened the door as soon as he knocked, and shit did he make an effort tonight. Black leather pants and silky grey shirt that was a little too tight on his defined chest. He also put on some makeup - a black eyeliner that emphasized his eyes and highlighter on his cheeks.
Jimin’s quick observation made him even more suspicious because usually Jungkook didn’t make such an effort for a simple outing.
“Jiminie-hyung, I just need a few minutes.” Jungkook said after he let him in, and Jimin followed him to his bedroom, which seemed like it had just survived a hurricane.
“Couldn’t choose what to wear?” Jimin asked, carefully, as he sat on the edge of Jungkook’s bed, shoving aside some discarded shirts.
“Um, I guess.” Jungkook murmured while he brushed his hair in front of a mirror.
“You look good.”
“Thanks?”
“Did you dress up for someone special?”
Jungkook froze for a moment, before he put the brush on his dresser and leaned down to pick up his black boots. He chuckled, awkwardly, as he replied, “What are you talking about? Of course no-”
“Cut the bullshit, JK.”
Jungkook turned to look at him with big, wide eyes.
“W-What-”
“Sit.” Jimin ordered, pointing at the spot next to him.
Jungkook immediately obeyed, which wasn’t such a big surprise because Jungkook was a ‘good kid’. He was polite, respectful to his elders, and kind. Those qualities could sometimes not be in his favor, and that was probably the reason why all of his hyungs felt so protective of him.
“So, there’s no particular reason we are going to Filter tonight, huh?”
Jungkook gave him a big, innocent smile. “No, it’s just a cool place.”
Right.
Contrary to popular belief, even though Jungkook was kind and polite, he wasn’t (as Britney had once said) that innocent.
Jimin had heard enough stories (that he probably shouldn't have heard) from Taehyung about his and Jungkook’s, um, escapades. And, well, it was safe to say that the boy wasn’t innocent at all.
“That smile ain’t fooling no one, spill bitch.”
“I don’t know what…”
When Jimin just gave him a pointed look, Jungkook realized that it was time for some truth.
“What have you heard?”
“Jin and Taehyung are going to be there tonight.”
Jungkook sighed. “Maybe.”
“Oh it’s not a maybe, it’s a fact. What I want to know though, is how you heard about it?”
Jungkook averted his eyes and stared at the wall as if it was the most fascinating thing ever. “I follow some of his friends on Instagram and saw them tagging him in a story, talking about the ‘wild’ night they had planned. So I just, you know…felt curious.”
“Curious.” Jimin repeated.
Jungkook shrugged, like the kid that he was.
“So you’re telling me that I’m not fucking my boyfriend tonight because you’re a whipped fool.”
Jungkook made a disgusted face. “Hyung! I really don’t need to know about-”
“Oh shut up, I heard so much worse from your wanna-be-ex, trust me.”
Jungkook’s disgust turned into horror in an instant.
“He didn’t!”
“Oh he did. But back to the point, what do you plan to do there once we arrive? Are you finally going to talk to him? Because honestly, this is getting old-”
“What? No! I’m not apologizing until he does.” Jungkook declared.
“What? Then what’s the fucking point-”
“To see him, you know, only…only for a little bit. From afar, I don’t mind.” Jungkook looked away as he said that, but the sadness was clear on his face, even with the makeup. And Jimin understood him, because he knew how much those two loved each other.
They had been dating for two years. Jungkook had met Taehyung when the latter was in his senior year in uni, and they became attached by the hip almost instantly.
Jimin used to complain about how disgusting they were together, but he was secretly happy for them, and a little envious. It was before he met Yoongi, and he wished for their kind of bond. So this “breakup” thing was not only exhausting (for everyone), but also sad, because it was so unnecessary. It was clear to anyone with a pair of working eyes that those two were meant to be.
Well, clear for everyone but them.
Patience, Jimin decided, was the key. He just needed to support them through this, until they realized that a love like theirs was rare, and precious.
“Okay, we’ll go.”
Jungkook gasped, before he pulled him into a hug.
“Thank you!”
“Don’t thank me yet, if you do anything stupid I’m carrying you out of there on my shoulder if I have to.”
Jungkook snorted as he pulled back, and Jimin understood his amusement because physically, Jimin was smaller than him. But what Jungkook didn’t consider was Jimin’s workout routine, which didn’t only help him obtain a great ass, but also created some nice muscles that proved to be useful sometimes (just ask Yoongi).
If needed, he could definitely pick up that brat and carry him away. Hopefully, it won’t be needed.
Jimin sighed again. It was going to be a long night.

Jin felt way too old for this.
As he sipped on his drink while watching the people dancing around him, he wondered how Taehyung had managed to convince him to come.
And then he remembered it was Taehyung he was talking about, and his younger friend had a flair for the dramatics. He was a fashion journalist, so it was basically his job. And going out today was a life and death situation - at least according to Taehyung - because he needed to forget about his troubles. Which, at the moment, were all connected to Jungkook.
Taehyung couldn’t get his (ex?) boyfriend out of his mind and was scared he was becoming depressed. The solution? Going out for a night of dancing and drinking. His other friends are here too, but Taehyung insisted that Jin had to come as well because he was the ‘responsible hyung’.
Now that he thought about it, Jin realized that he probably meant the ‘old hyung’.
Well, fuck him very much. He might be close to 31, but Jin still looked better than most of the 20-something people in this club. And no, he wasn’t being vain about it, it was just a fact.
Anyway, he was here now so he had to deal with it for a few hours, and he was doing his job by keeping an eye on Taehyung, who was already very much on his way to being wasted. He seemed happy at least, laughing and dancing with his friends. And even if it wasn’t completely real, at least Taehyung managed to forget for a little while.
Jin felt for him, he really did. He used to say that Taehyung and Jungkook were the most ‘coupley’ couple he had ever seen. They were one of those couples who finished each other’s sentences, who almost never fought, who always needed to touch - like they didn’t feel whole without the touch of the other.
For example, Jin remembered that one time he went with them to a restaurant, about a month ago. While they were waiting for dessert, Taehyung suddenly frowned to himself and started looking around for something. He seemed kind of upset about it, so Jin was about to ask what he was looking for, but before he managed to say anything, Jungkook offered Taehyung a chapstick, which he took with a grateful smile.
“Thanks, babe. I couldn’t find it in my bag.”
“You put it in mine yesterday, you forgot?”
Jin watched that small exchange in awe because Taehyung literally hadn’t said anything and Jungkook still knew exactly what he wanted.
It was disgusting and inspiring at the same time.
It reminded Jin of his own single status, and made him sigh wishfully.
But never mind that, he had other worries at the moment. Aside from dealing with potentially drunk Taehyung, the cause of his friend’s troubles was on his way here and Jin doubted Taehyung knew about it.
According to Jimin, Jungkook had probably planned this, but Jin had a hard time believing that Taehyung had anything to do with it. Taehyung was so happy at the thought of forgetting his potential ex for a few hours, there was no way he faked that feeling. And so Jin worried. They would see each other, there was no doubt about it, and he didn’t know how it would affect both of them. He was scared it would make things worse, that their stupid pride would lead to another idiotic fight.
Jimin texted him then, a short ‘we’re here’, and so Jin took a deep breath and went to wait for him near the entrance, figuring that Taehyung would be fine for a little while on his own.
If Jin had any doubts about Jungkook’s knowledge of the situation, it disappeared the moment he saw the younger man scanning the club like he was looking for someone very specific. Next to him, Jimin didn’t seem surprised about his behavior, and only whispered something in his ear.
“Hyung!” Jungkook said, as if he had no idea he would see him here today.
Well, shit, he did say once that the brat could be an actor.
“Jungkookie, no need to pretend to be shocked.”
“Oh, okay. Is he here then?” The quick change of expression was almost unbelievable.
“Yeah, but-”
“But you’re not going to approach him, right? You said from afar.” Jimin told him, as a reminder.
“Yeah, yeah, I know. I won’t talk to him unless it’s to apologize. Can I have a drink now? I’ll get you one too, Jimin-hyung.”
Then, he was on his way to the nearest bar.
Jin shared a look with Jimin, a look that shared mutual suffering.
“How’s Taehyung?” Jimin asked.
“Not so great. He wants to get drunk to forget because he can’t deal with it sober.”
Jimin tsked. “Those idiots.”
Jin nodded in agreement.
“Okay, let’s make a pact. Whatever happens, we need to prevent another fight. You take care of Tae, I have Kook.”
“Agreed.”
And so, they went to search for Jungkook first. The younger was already at the bar, two drinks on the counter behind him, but he was…distracted. Jungkook was staring at something on the dance floor, and his gaze didn’t waver even when people tried to push him aside to access the bar. It was almost like he was hypnotized.
And Jin knew what he was looking at, because only one person could catch Jungkook’s attention that way.
As he got closer though, he saw Jungkook’s expression more clearly, and felt his own heart throb from the clear sadness and longing he didn’t even try to hide. He was watching Taehyung like he was scared the other would disappear if he looked away only for a minute.
“Hey,” Jimin said to Jungkook, gently, “Is this for me?” He pointed at the other glass.
Jungkook blinked for a moment before he forced himself to look away.
“Y-Yeah, that’s yours.”
Jin reminded himself then of his own mission tonight, and looked away in search of Jungkook’s lost lover, only to find him staring at them with clear shock.
Oh shit.
“Have fun, guys.” Jin told Jimin and Jungkook before heading towards Taehyung, who was currently standing in the middle of the dance floor, the only one who wasn’t dancing. Taehyung’s friend, Wooshik, seemed confused about his behavior, and stopped dancing for a moment to try and see what Taehyung was looking at. Jin heard his quiet fuck just when he got closer to them,
“What the fuck is he doing here?!” Taehyung asked Jin, almost furious, like Jin was Jungkook’s keeper or something.
“Okay, first of all, chill, I didn’t expect this either. But it seems like he came with Jimin for a night out. It’s alright, they’re going to stay away.”
Taehyung gulped, visibly shaken, and Wooshik added, “Yeah, just ignore him, Tae, this place is big enough.”
So Taehyung agreed, reculantly, and only after Wooshik went to get him another drink.
For the next hour, Jin stayed close to Taehyung, made sure to dance with him and sit with him and– Okay, so he basically glued himself to him. It was necessary, especially when Taehyung went past the point of being tipsy. He was constantly laughing, like he was careless, but Jin caught him a few times looking at someone, only to look away seconds later, irritated.
Jungkook was around, but Jin made sure not to focus on him, knowing that Jimin had it covered.
But something had to give, and eventually, things went to shit.
At some point, Wooshik went to get Taehyung a glass of water (they decided to cut off his alcohol supply for the night), but it took him longer than anticipated and Taehyung was becoming antsy.
“I’m thirsty!”
“He’ll be right back, Tae.”
“But I’m thirsty now!”
Taehyung was a little drama queen when drunk.
“Fine, let’s go find him.”
To be honest, Jin was also kind of thirsty so it would be a good chance to get something for himself. However, when they reached the bar, Jin realized why Wooshik had disappeared in the first place.
Jungkook. He was standing near the bar and speaking to Jungkook. They were talking about something serious from the looks of it, and didn’t see them approaching, they didn’t notice them even when Taehyung made a sound of outrage.
“How dare he!” Taehyung growled, right before he marched over to them.
“Tae, stop!” Jin called after him, and tried to grab his arm. But Taehyung wasn’t listening, he shook his hand off and kept going. Until he was standing right in front of them.
“Tae-” Wooshik started to say, but Taehyung’s angry voice cut him off.
“What are you doing?!” He asked Jungkook, who seemed like a deer in the headlights. He was staring at Taehyung like he couldn’t believe he was really there. He didn’t seem as drunk as Taehyung, and his eyes were clear and wide as they ran over Taehyung’s face and body, like he didn’t want to miss any detail.
“I-I came with Jimin.”
“Why?! Why here?”
Jungkook seemed to finally notice the anger in Taehyung’s voice because he slowly lost that dazed look and became more focused. As if the excitement of seeing Taehyung so up close was replaced with bitter disappointment.
“I just wanted to have fun-”
“I don’t care! I want you gone!”
Taehyung was probably too drunk to realize the impact of his words, and he didn’t notice the way Jungkook flinched back, as if those words physically stung him.
“Hey, Taehyung, that’s enough.” Wooshik said, trying to put a comforting hand on his shoulder, but Taehyung was too wound up.
“Are you going to leave?”
Jungkook bit his lip as he averted his eyes, and Jin took a few steps closer to him so he managed to hear his next words, that were spoken so quietly that he doubted anyone else had heard them.
“I just want to be where you are…”
He sounded lost as he said that, like he didn’t know what to do with himself, and it made Jin’s heart ache.
“It’s alright, Jungkook-ah. Where’s Jimin-”
“Answer me! Argh, you always ruin everything!” Taehyung continued to push, and Jin had the urge to punch him in the face to shut him up.
“Oh fuck you, I’m going, alright? So stop being such a bitch!” Jungkook eventually shouted back, and he sounded angry but didn’t look like it. He actually seemed heartbroken, his eyes filled with unshed tears. When one of those tears ran down his cheek, Jungkook angrily wiped it off and looked away.
That tear made Taehyung’s anger subside in an instant, and he seemed shocked as he said, “W-Why are you crying…”
Jungkook didn’t answer him though, because Jimin came back just then, and seemed shocked to see them all standing there together.
“Oh fuck, what happened? I was gone for like, 10 minutes, how in the world-”
“Jimine-hyung, can we go now?” Jungkook’s voice sounded so small and broken that Jimin immediately tried to comfort him.
“Of course, Kookie, but what happened?” He turned his questioning eyes to Jin, who could only shake his head in sadness. He then turned to look at Taehyung, who was still staring at Jungkook with that lost expression.
“You know what? Let’s just go.” Jimin decided after taking it all in. He gave Jin a short nod before he wrapped his arm around Jungkook’s middle and pulled him along.
Both Jin and Wooshik said goodbye, but Taehyung remained quiet until they were out of sight. Only then, he turned to Jin with misty eyes and wobbly lips.
“W-Why did he cry? I don’t want him to cry…”
You shouldn’t have acted like a bitch then - was what he wanted to say, but he managed to keep his mouth shut, because he knew that Taehyung was hurting too, he was just showing it differently.
Wooshik sighed. “Maybe we should head back home too, huh? What do you say, Tae?”
Before anyone managed to say anything, Taehyung burst into tears.
“Oh fuck.” Jin muttered as Taehyung threw himself into Wooshik’s arms.
They let him cry for a while as they shared a look over his shoulder, both of them exhausted and sad about the whole situation.
Christmas eve was just a few days away, and from the looks of it, those two weren’t going to reconcile before the holidays.
Jin began to wonder if they would reconcile at all.
— — — — — — —
Wooshik had always tried to be a good friend. He was known for it - for being loyal and supportive - and he took pride in it.
That was probably the reason why he felt so nervous today.
Today, he was trying, once again, to be the bestest friend he could possibly be by fixing Taehyung’s love life.
He had been friends with Taehyung for almost a year, and looked out for him like a younger brother. He met him while doing a photoshoot for a major brand. As an actor, he had a few brands he was promoting on a regular basis, and that day, he was also doing an interview for some fashion magazine. Taehyung was an intern back then, and accompanied the journalist to watch him at work.
Wooshik immediately noticed him, and not only because of his (very) good looks, but also because of his bright and curious nature. Taehyung watched everything with big, round eyes, and the excitement just oozed out of him. He was so eager to learn, and seemed so fascinated with anything and everything that Wooshik couldn't help but feel drawn to him.
At first, it was a (kind of) romantic interest, but then he learned that Taehyung was in a committed relationship and his interest turned into something else - friendly, and eventually, brotherly. He introduced him to some of his friends (who were also actors), and they all hit it off almost instantly. Since then, they were like his little family.
Wooshik wanted to look out for Taehyung, wanted to make sure he was always happy, and that was what he was trying to do now.
Taehyung and Jungkook were the ideal couple, and not because they had a perfect relationship, but because they were literally soulmates.
They had their ups and down, and Wooshik had heard about their issues from Taehyung whenever they were having difficulties. But even then, it was clear that they would overcome them, because there was no way they could live without the other.
Wooshik had always thought that they were lucky to have met each other so young, because it was rare to meet someone who fit you so well, someone whom you loved so unconditionally. A lot of people didn’t get to have that, hell, even Wooshik hadn't found it yet. So it was frustrating to see them throwing it all away for a stupid fight. They were going to regret putting their pride first, Wooshik knew that, but it might be too late for them when they finally realized it too.
So it was up to him (and a few concerned friends) to do something about it.
Since it would be difficult to convince them to meet privately, Wooshik figured that the best way to make them talk was to throw a christmas party and invite them both (without the other knowing about it).
How would that work? Well, Jimin told Jungkook that Taehyung wouldn’t be there because he was staying at his family’s house until new year’s eve. While Jin told Taehyung the exact same thing.
It was sneaky, but effective, because both of them agreed to come.
But the plan didn’t end there, because those two needed to talk in private (Wooshik still remembered that horrible fight in the club), and so, the next phase of the plan was to lock them in Wooshik’s bedroom for unlimited time. Seriously, Wooshik was willing to keep them there until the next day if necessary.
The plan was perfect, now it only needed to work.
On the day of the party, everything went smoothly at first. It was more like an after-xmas party because it was the 26th, but people didn’t seem to mind (most people just needed an excuse to party). Taehyung arrived early to help Wooshik arrange some things. Hyungsik joined them too, so the three of them were there to welcome most of the guests.
Taehyung was beautiful, as always, but it was clear to those who knew him well that he wasn’t himself. His smile felt forced, and his makeup didn’t manage to conceal the bags under his eyes. He was clearly tired and unhappy.
“He doesn’t look good.” Hyungsik told him as they watched Taehyung while he was talking to one of the guests. “Your plan better work.”
It had to.
When Taehyung joined them again, he gave them a small smile.
“Sorry I’m such a killjoy tonight, I think I need some time off.”
“Time off?” Wooshik asked.
“Namjoon offered me to come visit him and Hoseok in London. I told him what happened and he suggested that it might be a good idea to get away.”
“No!” Wooshik immediately blurted, and Taehyung seemed confused.
“Why not?”
“Just, um, I will m-miss you.”
Hyungsik gave him an amused glance, but Taehyung didn’t seem to suspect anything.
“It’s only for a week, silly, and it would be nice to celebrate my birthday with them.”
“Are you serious? Your birthday is in four days.” Hyungsik said.
“Yeah, I saw a flight on the 28th.”
Well, shit.
Namjoon, Taehyung’s cousin, was usually a smart man, but his offer came at the worst timing. If Taehyung left for London, then there really won’t be any reconciliation in the foreseeable future.
Shit, now the plan really had to work.
After that conversation, Wooshik eagerly waited for Jungkook’s arrival. Like, literally, he was watching the entrance like a hawk.
It reminded him of the way Taehyung had acted when he first introduced him to Jungkook. Wooshik invited them both for dinner, and Taehyung arrived first. His friend was excited, and a little nervous, because he really wanted them to like each other. Wooshik wasn’t worried about that, he knew that it would be hard not to like Taehyung’s favorite person. Wooshik had heard so much about him at that point that he felt like he knew him.
But Taehyung was still nervous, and watched the door anxiously until Jungkook finally knocked. Before Wooshik managed to react, Taehyung literally ran to the door and threw himself into Jungkook’s waiting arms. Like, for real, Jungkook was actually waiting there with his arms wide open because he knew that Taehyung would jump on him right away.
Wooshik watched that exchange with amusement, and some envy, because the love was so clear in Jungkook’s eyes when he pulled back to take a look at Taehyung’s face. Wooshik wished for someone to look at him that way.
Back at the present, Wooshik’s phone chimed with a text and pulled him out of his memories. It was Jimin, warning him that he and Jungkook were almost there.
Smart Jimin, that small warning gave him enough time to execute the next part of the plan.
Wooshik grabbed a glass of (spiked) eggnog and went in search of his victim. He found him chatting with Hyungsik in a corner, looking even worse than before (if that was even possible), and that was when Wooshik took a deep breath and marched forward.
“Hey guys! I was looking for you.” He told them, and leaned closer to Taehyung. “I brought you something to drink, Tae, here— Oh shit! I’m so sorry!”
Wooshik stared at the spilled eggnog on Taehyung’s shirt in shock (he was an actor after all) while Taehyung grimaced in disgust.
“Shit. Don’t worry about it, but my shirt is soaked.”
“Yeah, you have to change.” Hyungsik did his part and gave Wooshik a meaningful look.
“Yes, of course! Come to my room, I’ll give you something else to wear.”
Taehyung simply nodded, and didn’t hesitate to follow Wooshik up the stairs. Just when they reached the second floor, Wooshik got another text from Jimin - ‘we’re here’.
Perfect timing.
In his bedroom, Wooshik quickly pulled a sweater from his closet, and a towel.
“Here, so you can wipe it off. Come down when you’re ready.”
“Thanks, hyung.” Taehyung gave him a sweet smile that made him feel a little guilty. But then he reminded himself that he was doing this for Taehyung’s own good.
He closed the bedroom’s door behind him and pulled out his phone.
‘Send the lamb’, he texted, and then waited near the stairs, ready for the next part.
Not two minutes passed before he heard footsteps climbing up the steps.
“Wooshik-hyung?” Jungkook called out, and Wooshik channeled his inner actor once again.
“I’m here!”
Jungkook skipped the last steps and stood before him in all of his glory. To be honest, Jungkook was as eye-catching as Taehyung. Although not as traditionally handsome, he still had unique features, mainly his sparkly doe eyes. Wooshik had seen Taehyung fall for those eyes over and over again.
“Hey, Jimin said you could help?”
Right. So Jimin was supposed to somehow dirty his own clothes, which would then give him the excuse to send Jungkook to get him a wet towel.
Yes, they had planned this to the last detail.
“Yeah, I have some towels in my room, they’re on the lower shelf in my closet. Can you go get it? They’re having some crisis with the appetizers and I have to go and see what’s going on.”
“Oh, sure. Where’s your room?”
Wooshik pointed at the right door, and Jungkook offered him his cute bunny smile before he headed straight over there. Again, Wooshik forced himself not to feel guilty. It was the final stage of the plan, he needed to focus.
He quietly followed Jungkook until the latter went into his room, completely careless, and Taehyung’s surprised shout was heard even from the outside. Wooshik wondered if Jungkook caught him while he was still dressing (Wooshik kind of hoped he did).
Quickly, before the right timing passed, Wooshik neared the half closed door, shut it, locked it, and stepped back. He managed to do it quietly, so there weren’t any signs of outrage yet. Well, aside from Taehyung’s loud voice as he screeched at Jungkook.
“What are you even doing here?! Get out!”
“What am I doing here? What are you doing here-”
Wooshik walked away before he could hear anything more. He meddled enough, now it was time to leave them alone to figure their shit out.
‘Mission accomplished.’ He texted in the group chat they had created just for this night.
‘Oh thank god.’ Jimin wrote back.
‘Now let’s pray they won’t kill each other.’ Jin added.
Wooshik smiled as he went back to the party. He had a feeling that everything would be just fine from now on.
— — — — — — —
Jungkook had fallen in love only once in his life.
It had always been hard for him to open up to other people. He wasn’t shy, not exactly, but the best way to describe him would be… reserved, and careful. So very careful, because he was constantly afraid of getting hurt.
His parents had an ugly divorce when he was still very young. When he was only 9, he was passed back and forth between them like a soccer ball. Their hatred and resentment towards each other overcame any love they might have felt for him, and he quickly became a spawn in their unending power games.
When Jungkook was old enough to do so, he moved out. A scholarship in SNU gave him a new start, and he more than enjoyed his new independence. Living alone felt like a dream after years of walking on eggshells around his parents, and taking care of himself felt more like a privilege than a chore.
Needless to say, he wasn’t eager to let go of that independence, and even more so, he wasn’t ready to let go of his own heart. Relationships could become destructive in a matter of weeks, and love could turn into hate way too easily. Jungkook witnessed that firsthandly, and wasn’t ready to live through it again.
Kim Taehyung, however, was a game changer.
Jungkook wasn’t ready for him, not in the slightest. In order to cover up his own insecurities, Jungkook had learned over the years to act like he was fine, like he was happy, even when he wasn’t. He was able to smile and laugh even if he felt sad and frustrated. Almost like a coping mechanism, that was how he made sure he was never vulnerable.
Taehyung, however, was the complete opposite.
Taehyung showed everything, it didn’t matter if he was sad, angry, confused, or happy, Taehyung showed every emotion without fear. Jungkook kind of envied him for that at first, but then, that bravery was one of the main reasons he was attracted to him in the first place.
And Taehyung liked him too, almost instantly. Jungkook was bewildered at first, he couldn’t understand how someone like Taehyung could like someone like him. In his eyes, Taehyung was special, while Jungkook didn’t feel special at all.
But as they got to know each other more, Jungkook realized they had more in common than it seemed at first. They laughed at the same stupid things, had similar hobbies, they liked the same movies and tv showes, and they both prefered to pour milk before cereal - which was more rare then you’d think.
In a matter of weeks they became inseparable, and Jungkook was stunned by how quickly their relationship had developed. Stunned and worried because that was his first romantic relationship, and the first time he allowed himself to fall in love.
Not everything was perfect, of course. Jungkook was too careful, too scared to do something wrong that could ruin it all, and it made him hold himself back.
Fights were healthy every now and then— that was what Jimin had always told him, but Jungkook was scared to get angry, to say something wrong that would make Taehyung hate him. So they rarely fought during the first months of their relationship, until Taehyung finally figured him out.
He figured out all about Jungkook’s coping mechanism, realized that he sometimes acted like he was alright even if he wasn’t, and that his acting was so good that he managed to fool everyone.
Taehyung had known from the start that Jungkook was reserved, and was ecstatic whenever Jungkook opened up to him about anything new. He always prided himself on the fact that he was the only one Jungkook truly trusted, that Jungkook trusted him enough to show him his true self (that he rarely showed to others).
So he slowly taught him to let go– to show his anger, or disappointment, because it was alright to feel that way sometimes, even towards your lover. He said that it would make their relationship stronger, and Jungkook began to believe him with time. He started to feel more comfortable telling him things. Like, that he didn’t like it when he left his worn socks on the floor, or that he wasn’t a fan of that takeout Taehyung had always insisted on ordering.
He started to talk about things that bothered him, and showed his frustration when needed. Of course it created some fights because they didn’t always agree on things, but they always reconciled not too long after.
They loved each other, and a few stupid fights weren’t going to change that.
Especially for Jungkook, who knew he couldn’t ever love anyone the way he loved Taehyung.
But after they graduated and started working full time, they had less time for each other. It was normal, everyone said, but it didn’t make it easier. For Jungkook in particular, whose insecurities were so deep rooted that they didn’t need much to be awakened.
When Taehyung finished his internship and started spending more time with his coworkers, they didn’t manage to see each other as often. Sometimes they only saw each other on weekends, and sometimes they were too tired to have long phone calls.
Jungkook wasn’t as outgoing as Taehyung, so he didn’t go out as much, didn’t make friends as quickly, and he began to feel a little…left out.
Jin told him it was nonesense, that Taehyung only went out that much because he wanted to get along with his team, and that it would change with time. He insisted that Taehyung had always whined about how much he was missing ‘his Jungkookie’. Jin’s words definitely helped, but they didn’t change the situation, and Jungkook couldn’t help but feel like Taehyung was slipping between his fingers.
And without his sun, Jungkook began to wilt.
It was like he went back in time. He became less animated, less carefree, especially around Taehyung, who didn’t notice it at first because of his own stress and worries.
When he did notice it though, Taehyung didn’t take the time to understand it.
Jungkook didn’t tell him about his feelings as he probably should've, and Taehyung didn’t try hard enough to understand.
So the fights began to happen more frequently, about the stupidest things. What was different this time, was the fact that they didn’t apologize to each other as quickly, that it took them longer to reconcile. And it couldn’t have lasted forever this way, they were bound to break at some point, and finally, one fight changed it all.
One night, Taehyung went out again, but promised he would come to Jungkook’s place right after. They hadn’t seen each other for a week, and felt eager to spend even an hour together.
Taehyung said he would leave early, and Jungkook waited, and waited. But Taehyung took his sweet time, and when Jungkook texted him, he said he was sorry and would come over later, as if he had forgotten all about his earlier promise.
His nonchalance pissed Jungkook even more, but what made him lose it, was a stupid Instagram post. One of Taehyung’s friends posted a photo of them, of just the two of them, and they seemed way too close, and happy. Seojoon’s hand was wrapped around Taehyung’s shoulder, while the latter was beaming at the camera like there was no other place he’d rather be at.
Even though Jungkook was waiting for him, even though he promised to come back early.
Usually, Jungkook wasn’t a jealous boyfriend. Even though Taehyung was gorgeous and charming, Jungkook had always been sure about his feelings, and knew that Taehyung would never hurt him.
But that night, he felt much more insecure than usual, and not as certain about Taehyung’s feelings. So just that little photo managed to spark doubt in his heart.
And resentment.
When Taehyung came back later, his carefree attitude made him even angrier. He tried to hug and kiss Jungkook like nothing had happened, and told him he missed him, as if everything was fine.
But it wasn’t fine.
And so Jungkook finally let it all out, and lashed out at Taehyung like never before. And Taehyung…well, at first he seemed surprised, and apologetic. He tried to comfort him, and said that he was sorry for being late. He blamed his job and busy schedule, had promised that it wouldn’t happen again.
But it wasn’t enough, it didn’t satisfy Jungkook’s anger, and so, he started to say things he later regretted. He talked about that photo he’d seen, and blamed Taehyung for being a flirt.
The hurt that flashed in Taehyung’s eyes made him feel guilty only for a minute, because right after that, Taehyung lashed right back at him. He wanted to hurt Jungkook, and knew just the way to do that. He called him an insecure boy with daddy issues, and said he needed to get over himself. What hurt the most was that he knew all about Jungkook’s past, and so those nasty comments felt like a stab in the heart.
They were both stupid for saying those things, and even stupider for not apologizing for them. Their pride was in the way, because they were both hurt. They didn’t want to apologize first, leaving it to the other to make the first move.
Only that neither of them did. Weeks passed, and nothing happened.
Jungkook was sure Taehyung would be the one to try and mend things, because he was the brave one, the one who didn’t shy away from anything. And yet, Taehyung didn’t call, or text, like he didn’t care at all. As time passed, Jungkook began to wonder if maybe Taehyung prefered it that way. That, maybe, he wanted to break up for real.
Jimin and Yoongi said that he was exaggerating, that everything would be okay. They told him they just needed time to cool off, that one fight couldn’t possibly ruin such a loving relationship.
And yet, Jungkook hadn’t told them about that fight, not really. They didn’t know what truly happened, and figured it probably wasn’t that serious.
As time passed, though, Jungkook realized how serious it really was. But he was a coward, and a fool, because instead of talking to Taehyung, he actually went to a club to watch him from afar. Yet, even though it sounded foolish, for Jungkook, it felt necessary. Seeing Taehyung made him feel such a rush of relief that he wondered how he could ever look away again.
He was reminded way too soon, though, that Taehyung wasn’t his to look at anymore. Taehyung himself was the one who reminded him, when he literally ordered him to get the hell away from him. And so Jungkook did as told - he stayed away.
After that, Christmas passed by in a blur. He joined his mother and her new husband for dinner, but left on the very next day. Even though he tried to keep in touch with his parents, it still felt suffocating if he stayed with them for a long period of time.
He almost called Taehyung to wish him happy holidays at least ten times, but chickened out every time. Taehyung hadn’t called either, or texted.
Jungkook hated this. He hated, hated, hated this. But he also didn’t know how to solve it.
But then, fate intervened (or so he thought), because at Wooshik's after x-mas party, he ran into Taehyung, and in private this time.
He couldn’t help but think that maybe this was his final chance to make things right.
— — — — — — —
Contrary to popular belief, Taehyung wasn’t really that dramatic.
Or, at least, it wasn’t his intention. Taehyung was just expressive. He always showed his feelings no matter what, and if he was mad, then everyone around him noticed it, and if he was upset, no one failed to miss it.
So the last few weeks were difficult not only for Taehyung, but also for his friends and coworkers. He wasn’t just upset, it was more than that, like some kind of a weird combination of anger, sadness, and depression. It was slowly driving him mad, and so, everyone else around him felt it too, to some degree.
Seojoon, his friend and coworker, complained about Taehyung’s behavior more than once. At first, he tried to be supportive, but later, he grew tired of the drama and told him to fix it or move on.
But how could Taehyung move on from Jungkook so easily?
And so, fixing it was the best option.
However, Taehyung couldn’t let go of his anger, not completely. Jungkook’s actions hurt him deeply. He had never thought that Jungkook would ever accuse him of flirting with other people, and the way he said that almost sounded like a disgusting insult, like Taehyung was a filthy cheat who would actually cheat on his lover without a second thought.
It was unbelievable to him that Jungkook could ever think that, and say that too, with such harsh words and disgust. It made Taehyung wonder how long had Jungkook kept those feelings inside, because he knew that his (ex?) boyfriend was a master at hiding his emotions.
Not from him though, or so he thought.
Lately, Taehyung had been so busy with his job and didn’t have much free time to spend with his boyfriend. But it was necessary, for him, for his future, and he thought that Jungkook had understood that .
He later learned that he didn’t, Jungkook was just good at hiding his own frustration. But when did that frustration turn into resentment? Taehyung didn’t know.
Jungkook wasn’t the only one at fault though, Taehyung was smart enough to know that. He should’ve called more, and texted, even if he didn’t have time to meet. And he shouldn’t have gone out so much, even if his coworkers insisted on it. Because it was good for him to bond with them (and his managers), but not at the expense of his own relationship.
And Taehyung had also said some things he shouldn’t have said.
He shouldn’t have used Jungkook’s family issues to hurt him, and shouldn’t have mocked his insecurities.
Taehyung was just mad, and apparently, it was easier to hurt the one you loved the most because you knew what could hurt them the most.
His pride got in the way though, and he insisted on Jungkook apologizing first, even though he knew it was harder for him to express himself. But Taehyung told himself that Jungkook should make the effort for him, that if he really cared for him, then he would overcome his own weaknesses.
However, time passed, and nothing changed.
Taehyung was losing hope, and started to wonder if Jungkook truly cared enough. If, maybe, Jungkook was fine with the way things were. He was feeling so hopeless that he even started planning a trip to literally the other part of the world, just to get away from Jungkook.
Because everything reminded him of Jungkook. Pieces of him were spread all over his apartment. His clothes were in Taehyung’s closet, his video games were in his living room, his face creams were in his bathroom, and even his stupid coffee mug was still on his kitchen’s counter, almost as if it was waiting for its owner.
Taehyung was too weak to put it away.
It was becoming too depressing to handle, so Taehyung wondered if some time away would be the best solution.
But then, just when he was about to go through with his plans, he ran into the cause of all his pain (and love).
Jungkook wasn’t supposed to be at Wooshik's party, Jin had told him that he went to see his mom for Christmas. And yet, somehow, he ended up in Wooshik’s bedroom, had walked right in just as Taehyung finished putting on a new shirt.
Seeing him so suddenly made him feel such longing, and sadness and…anger. Jungkook looked so good and it angered him to feel like the only one who was hurting (even if Jimin and Jin said otherwise).
And when Taehyung felt angry, he lashed out.
“What are you even doing here?! Get out!”
Jungkook’s shock quickly changed into annoyance at the sound of his angry voice, and he responded in the same way.
“What am I doing here? What are you doing here? You were supposed to be at your parents’!”
“And you were supposed to be visiting your mom!”
Jungkook frowned. “What? No, I came back after Christmas’ eve, you know I hate staying there for too long.”
Taehyung did know that, but thought that Jungkook might have needed his space. He trusted Jin’s words.
Fuck. That sneaky little-
“Fucking Jimin.” Jungkook hissed just then, and his angry-bunny expression would’ve made Taehyung chuckle if he didn’t feel so upset.
“Fuck them. I’m out.” Taehyung declared as he marched to the door, making sure to avoid Jungkook’s gaze.
However, when he tried to open it, he realized he couldn’t.
“What the…”
He tried to turn the handle a few times, but it didn’t budge.
“What is it?” Jungkook asked from behind him.
“The door won’t open!”
“What? Let me try.”
Automatically, Taehyung moved to the side to let Jungkook try. He was the stronger one anyway, whenever Taehyung struggled to open a bottle or a jar, he knew that Jungkook could open it for him in just a second.
This time, however, he wasn’t successful.
“What the hell? I think it’s locked.”
Taehyung gasped. “No way, it’s probably stuck or-”
“Nope, I’m pretty sure it’s locked.” Jungkook insisted, before he turned around with a thoughtful expression.
“But then, who locked it? Do you think there’s a key somewhere in here-”
“I think someone locked it from the outside.”
Taehyung was confused. “What? Why? Who-”
When Jungkook just gave him a meaningful look, Taehyung figured it out.
“Those IDIOTS-”
“Okay, chill, Tae, we can just-”
“No! I won’t CHILL!”
Those meddling bastards.
Taehyung immediately called Wooshik, who (of course) didn’t pick up.
“Call Jimin.” He told Jungkook, right before he called Jin (who didn’t pick up either), and then Hyungsik (who sent him straight to voicemail).
He groaned in frustration before he turned to look at Jungkook, who was just standing there, looking way too calm.
“Jimin isn’t answering.”
“Fuck!”
Jungkook made a sound of agreement, but didn’t seem that upset. He was watching him with those pretty doe eyes of his, but didn’t seem all that bothered. He might’ve been, at first, but now he seemed calm, focused. It was jarring.
“How are you so calm about this?! Maybe we should just break the door— No, Wooshik would kill me. But you know what? Fuck him, let’s just—”
“Hyung.” Jungkook said in a soft voice, stopping his angry outburst.
“W-What?”
“Let’s just…sit down.”
“What? Why-”
“They would come get us out eventually. Let’s just wait.” He paused as he thought about his next words. “Let’s try not to fight until they do, I promise to be nice.”
“You’re always nice.” Taehyung objected, and then wanted to facepalm when he realized what he’d just said. Jungkook, though, seemed to appreciate the comment, judging by the small smile on his face.
“Truce, then? For now.” Jungkook asked.
And Taehyung found himself nodding, realizing it would be childish not to.
Jungkook immediately let out a relieved sigh.
“Good. I’ll...I’ll just…sit here.” Jungkook seemed a little awkward as he took a few steps towards the bed, and sat on its edge.
Taehyung cleared his throat, feeling a little self conscious too. Which made him feel frustrated because he had never felt self conscious around Jungkook before.
“You…you can sit too.” Jungkook suggested, quietly, and after thinking about it for a few seconds, Taehyung did. He sat down next to Jungkook, but kept a safe distance between them.
Then, he stared at the wall in front of him for a while, not knowing what else to do. It was hard looking at Jungkook, especially when he looked this good (yes, he couldn’t help but notice). Jungkook was always good looking, but even more so when he made an effort. Also, Taehyung hadn’t had the chance to look at him properly for a while.
And what a sight he was, with his shiny black hair, button up white shirt, and navy colored pants. He was stunning without overdoing it, it was madding.
“You look good.” Jungkook said then, almost as if he read Taehyung’s mind, and it made him turn to look at him.
Jungkook was staring at him, and the longing in his eyes seemed all too familiar.
“T-Thanks.”
Jungkook’s lips curled into a little smile, and Taehyung’s heart started beating a little faster.
“So are you.” Taehyung ended up adding, and Jungkook thanked him, right before he started giggling.
Taehyung watched him in confusion.
“What’s so funny?”
“I’m s-sorry.” Jungkook said between giggles. “It’s just…this situation, we’re so fucking awkward. It’s like we’re in high school all over again.”
Taehyung smiled at that, because it was kind of true.
“It’s good to see you, hyung. So so good.” Jungkook said to him after he calmed down, and he seemed a little less awkward, but much more nervous.
Taehyung just stared at him for a moment, at those hopeful eyes, before he said, “You too, Jungkook-ah.”
But just as Jungkook’s smile became bigger, Taehyung added, “It doesn’t mean that everything is alright now, though. Not yet.”
Jungkook bit his lip and looked down.
“I know. But…but I really wanted to sit with you like this, without fighting. I just didn’t know how to…”
“You could have just asked, you could’ve apologized.”
“You could’ve apologized too.”
Taehyung huffed, annoyed all over again. But before he managed to look away, he was startled by a gentle touch on his hand.
Jungkook’s hand was holding his wrist, gently.
“I-I’m s-sorry, T-Tae-”
With alarm, Taehyung realized that Jungkook’s voice was shaking. He was still looking down so Taehyung wasn’t able to see his eyes.
“Hey, Kookie…”
“I h-hate this, hyung, I hate this s-so much. I’m sorry, I really do.”
Well, shit.
Jungkook’s small, shaking voice made Taehyung feel like the most terrible person ever. He hated seeing Jungkook cry, more than anything. Jungkook rarely cried, and it made it even more heartbreaking.
“Hey, look at me, babe.”
Jungkook immediately raised his head and stared at him with wide eyes that seemed to hold back tears.
“B-Babe?” Jungkook asked, again with that hopeful tone.
And shit, Taehyung didn’t even realize he used that affectionate word. It wasn’t untrue, though.
“Always.” Taehyung ended up saying, and Jungkook gasped, surprised.
“I’m sorry for calling you a f-flirt and hinting that you were unfaithful, I know it’s not true. I was just…mad, and wanted to h-hurt you.”
Taehyung frowned. “Why were you mad?”
Jungkook seemed a little hesitant before he replied. “Because you were so busy with other things, and with other people, that I began to wonder if maybe you didn’t want to be with me anymore-”
“What? No!”
“-a-and I was mad because I felt like you were ignoring me while having fun with your coworkers-”
“Jungkook, that’s not true!” Taehyung promised him, but it was clear that those words weren’t enough. So he decided to take action.
Without another word, he pulled Jungkook into a hug, and the relieved sigh that left his lips was uncontrollable, because he was so so relieved to feel the familiar weight of Jungkook in his arms. It had been so long that he began to forget how warm he was, how comforting.
After a moment of shock, Jungkook wrapped his own arms around Taehyung, and the sound of his soft sigh against his shoulder made him smile. They really were so similar.
“I’m sorry I made you feel that way, and for…saying those things during our fight. I didn’t mean them, I just…”
“You wanted to hurt me too.”
“I did.”
“I probably should’ve told you about my feelings before, I’m sorry, it’s just hard for me sometimes.” Jungkook said and sniffled.
“I know. I should’ve noticed it too, you were acting strange even before our fight but I ignored that, I should’ve asked.”
“I guess…I guess we both made mistakes.”
Taehyung chuckled. “I guess. I think that was our first serious fight.”
Jungkook groaned. “It was more than a fight, I thought we were o-over.”
At the sound of Jungkook’s miserable voice, Taehyung pulled back so he could look at his face.
Jungkook’s eyes were a little red and his cheeks were a little flushed.
He was beautiful.
“I thought so too, for a moment, I wondered if maybe you didn’t want to work things out.”
“That’s not true!” Jungkook promised him, almost desperately, and it made Taehyung smile again.
“I see it now. I guess I can also feel a little insecure sometimes.”
“There’s no need, hyung. Don’t you know that I would never love anyone the way I love you?”
Taehyung gasped, feeling his heart expand with a rush of euphoria. Jungkook wasn’t the type to show his emotions easily, but when he did, he did it in a way that always made him feel like the luckiest man alive.
“Don’t you know that you should never say never-”
“Oh shut up.”
Taehyung snorted, feeling a happy tear running down his face, right before he pulled Jungkook into a kiss.
Jungkook opened up to him immediately, without hesitation, and Taehyung didn’t waste a second before he kissed him senseless. He tasted so sweet, and his quiet moans were lovely.
Taehyung had missed him so so much.
“Let’s not fight ever again.” Jungkook told him later, as they were lying in Wooshik’s bed, facing each other.
Taehyung chuckled as he caressed his face. “I’m not sure that’s possible, but let’s promise to apologize right after? And talk about things.”
Jungkook agreed. “I can do that. I don’t think I would survive being away from you for such a long time again. I would literally die, hyung.”
And people said that Taehyung was dramatic.
Then, he remembered something else.
“Oh, talking about being away, what do you say about a trip to London…”
— — — — — — —
Hyungsik felt nervous as he climbed the stairs to the second floor of Wooshik’s huge house.
Earlier, when they tried to decide who would be the one to free Taehyung and Jungkook, they played a little game. And Hyungsik had lost.
So now, he risked his health and good looks to free the two angry (hopefully not) ex lovers. His accomplices were waiting downstairs in anticipation because this would could end in— 1) A reconciliation, or 2) Murder.
Fuck, Hyungsik hoped for the first option.
Three hours had passed since they locked Jungkook and Taehyung in there and the party was over, so they had no choice but to let them go (Wooshik needed to go to sleep at some point).
Hyungsik gulped as he walked closer to Wooshik’s bedroom, with the key in hand, and then took a deep breath before he opened it.
He was ready for a lot of things, but he wasn’t ready for the quiet that welcomed him as he pushed the door open. And as he looked inside and saw the missing lovers, he couldn’t stop but grin and shake his fist in the air.
Taehyung and Jungkook were laying on Wooshik’s bed, apparently asleep. But that wasn’t all, they were hugging each other in their sleep, in a way that only lovers could.
Jungkook was hugging Taehyung from behind, and they were holding hands. It was so sweet that it actually made him a little nauseous.
With a victorious smile, he walked closer to the bed and raised his phone. He quickly took a picture and sent it in the group chat.
‘YASSSSS!!!’ Jimin responded.
‘fuck, they are so cute i can’t deal.’ Was Jin’s reaction.
‘awesome, can Jimin come home now?’ Yoongi replied.
And finally, Wooshik added, ‘well shit, where am i gonna sleep tonight?’
Hyungsik just grinned at his phone as he quietly walked out of the bedroom.
They should let them rest for now, they deserved it.
