Work Text:
Isabela was changing.
No, it would take falling short. She was absolutely in agony! It hadn't been six months since they had to rebuild her Casita, and yet it seemed that Dolores wasn't the only gossip in town.
Her Encanto, the gifts, the miracles that were given to the Madrigals, the intense magic that ran through the veins of each one, had managed to cross the thick and high mountains that protected their territory. Travelers, tourists, merchants, had conveyed beautiful and dramatic stories about Tía Pepa’s clouds, her Madre Julieta's delicious food, and of course, if a magnificent spectacle, an "infinite spring", they dared to reveal.
How she wanted to cut out the tongues of all those fools.
Recently, a few weeks, perhaps, a strange man that she had never seen in her life (a strange fact, considering that they had all grown up in the same almost impenetrable land, knowing few since they were children) had interrupted the door of her home, agitated and breathless, shaking a silly piece of paper from side to side.
(Note that even Casita had been dumbfounded, confused by the man's curious and strange features, why the hell would a person have white skin, so easy to burn, and clear eyes that are susceptible to sunlight in those parts? Genetics were so weird. Still, the only thing that Isabela would admit, it was pretty, were the sparkles that her light hair gave off with the light of day)
And with that piece of paper, the nightmare would begin.
No Madrigal was alienated from the idea of people from outside. Her Abuela constantly told them how outsiders walked peacefully in their little town, living and interacting with those born in the place. There were also the occasional travelers, or merchants, who wandered through the thick undergrowth of the valley -with Encanto's explicit permission, obviously- and were friendly with her family, asking such strange questions as: "Can Isabella grow marijuana?”
Isabela had no idea what marijuana was.
Finding out about other people's desire to relate to them wasn't an entirely unfamiliar idea. It was just weird, maybe overwhelming. Since the letter was signed by a certain "Queen Anna and Princess Elsa of the Kingdom of Arendelle", and although no one knew what the hell Arendelle was, the word "Queen" and "princess" were known to the Madrigals, and they were slightly scared. of exactly what it meant that such a powerful person yearned to hear from you.
They were extremely small people, apart from the world. They existed thanks to the Encanto, protected by the strong storms that raged outside the valley, with Camilo and Dolores as perfect spies for infiltration towards any threat.
Isabela and her potentially deadly handling of vines was a very useful offense.
More than once Toñito had caught merchants trying to cross borders without permission thanks to his little animals, and of course, Bruno and his dreadful rats (he doesn't hear you say it, he reacts badly).
The Encanto was safe thanks to the Madrigal and the town was safe thanks to the powers of the Encanto.
And because of exactly that tiny size, their inconspicuousness with the rest of the world, they would never expect to be spotted by anything very big or important. No Madrigal wanted to drag out their responsibilities, nor did they relish the idea of an idiot trying to usurp the sail.
But her responsibilities were already extended, because that disgusting paper with ink had clearly said, “Our request surrounds our magic and the one you possess. A hidden answer that could be found by uniting our knowledge. Please, please admit us to your precious territory…”
Isabela didn't remember the elegant verbiage there, but she did remember the horrible accent the postman had when he read the letter aloud.
Couldn't he pronounce the “r's” right and stop reading the “e” as the “i”? Any hint of elegance was quickly eliminated by the way he read (hours later, Buck had taken on the reddish, burnt form of the postman, exaggeratedly mimicking his accent, making them laugh).
After agreeing one day, the family had determined (Abuela, Maribel, and Julieta, in reality, the others only shrugged their shoulders) that they would welcome them in a big way, the sweetness of their culture was collected and scattered in every street of the town.
Golden butterflies happily flying here or there, paintings of the Madrigals or the dons on walls or wires to hang clothes, all in their most traditional clothes, and the delicious smell of flour being fried and prepared together with rice, beans, the bananas, or other basic things that grew here or there.
Without really dragging things out any longer, the royal family of Arendelle had requested to be here, the Madrigals said yes, and the day had finally come.
And while Isabela didn't have all the pressure of perfection breathing down her neck, her old habits were taking too long to leave her, and of course, she was too stressed.
Holy God! A queen and a former queen would come to her house! To Casita! And one had powers! POWERS!
It wasn't strange, of course not, they just came from abroad and the truth was, they were terrified from head to toe.
If the dinner with Mariano had turned out to be a disaster, how would this turn out?
At least they weren't trying to marry her off.
At that moment, her hands folded as she gently motioned for her plants to grow, caressing them with the fondness of her heart, congratulating them when they curled up into the correct posture.
Delicious flowers opened their petals by each pillar, the green so characteristic of their land was shining, awarded, and proud by every corner of Casita, the inhabitants around nervous and anxious, decorating their own houses and filling the streets with bright and festive colors.
Good! All ready. The arrangements were reviewed one last time, the only thing missing was for the foreigners to be sighted...
“OH MY GOD, THEY ARE HERE!” Buck yelled, a little too loud, a little too close. Dolores sent him a dirty look, a little distressed by the painful screams in the surroundings. Dolores was definitely in pain with her gift (pun intended, Dolores is in pain, so yes, it was stupid).
"WHAT!?" Mirabel shrieked “…what?” she said lower now, cringing at her cousin's gaze.
Pepa, who no longer suppressed her emotions, had summoned a slight tornado while biting her nails. Felix and Juliet rushed to hug her and make sure everything would be alright, successfully calming her down.
Bruno for once looked (and smelled) clean, his messy hair a little more polished. His dark circles had gradually faded and now he was next to Maribel, both being a comfort to the other.
And, among the disaster, there was Isabela, with her violet dress with flowers in different shades of the same color, her hair as neat as it was, and practiced and perfect makeup. Although he had left the facade long ago, for the sake of the day, he decided to acquire it.
She didn't think a queen would like dresses that were stained and full of paint and strange colored pollen.
“Okay, Madrigals, come on! At the entrance!" Abuela exclaimed nervously, positively silencing the harassing voices within the younger ones.
Pepa's calm anxiety reflected as a fresh and pleasant wind, strong, calming. Antonio's little animals perched in corners, without getting in the way, just safeguarding the house and alert to threats, Maribel as shiny as she has always been.
Bruno looked nervous, Julieta taking his hand and transmitting kind caresses to it, smiling herself as she always was. Abuela with her typical smiling mask, and Camilo and Dolores far behind, watching curious but fearful. Luisa was also behind, although by size, and along with Félix and Agustín, they were the ones who exuded the most anxiety.
All piled up at the entrance, they watched as the townspeople lined the ends of the main street toward their home, letting a cute, humble donkey-drawn cart pass (and an antlered thing that looked like a deer, but sturdier and hairy)
But the beauty was not the cart.
Oh my God, no.
Three people (and a white pet, it seemed from a distance) were on the wagon. And that Tía Pepa strike a lightning bolt on her head because she had seen a goddess among those three figures.
And from the dramatic, audible gasps that sounded behind her, she knew they all thought the same thing.
On the reindeer rode a boy like that postman, his golden hair reflected the threads of the sun, his robust body was covered by a starched shirt. A strange suit that they had never seen, black and white, very elegant and quite beautiful. Although from his long sleeves and multiple layers, Isabela suspected, the poor guy might be dying of heat.
She would offer to trade that in for one of the father's suits if he started sweating.
Two girls were on the wagon, and both of them were just as strange to anyone. Reddish-brown hair spread over one's scalp, free in the light wind Tía Pepa created, with a waterfall braid keeping it submissive behind the girl's back.
The shirt conformed to her figure, the lace sleeves allowed the wind to pass freely, the torso covered by a light but tight fabric, a belt at her waist, a small bag on her shoulder, and shorts of black fabric with designs. of wheat that matched the shirt
It showed the woman's pale but pretty legs, wearing leather boots made for the terrain.
She was beautiful, no one could deny it.
But who was by her side...
She was an angel.
And honestly, Isabela had barely realized that she was homosexual for them to send her such a goddess.
Thanks, Miracle! Because if Pepa had calmed her wind into a cold and romantic atmosphere, with the slight howling of the wind, clearly admiring her beauty, she wouldn't know what that gift could do if it belonged to her.
Although it was bad enough to watch as the flowers moved agitated by the feelings of their creator. He was quick to calm them down before anyone noticed.
The beauty was white, like the snow that the Madrigals rarely managed to observe thanks to their Tía Pepa, her platinum hair did not need the sun to shine, and her white skin was naturally rosy, unaffected by the cruelty of the burning sun.
She was hot enough to rival the sun, good heavens.
Unlike the other woman, her robes were light, shades of blue, and she wore a suit similar to the boys, though it was simply lighter, with intricate snowflake designs (as you might associate from books), and she had no pants, but a type of flown skirt, and a translucent cape so impossible to perceive because of how light it was created.
Oh, sky woman, take her, please.
Agony? Really? I could spend a thousand and one years going through that stress just to see her longer.
But her majestic approach ended when the wagon stopped a few meters from Casita.
Let the game begin!
(She was going to lose; she was going to lose so bad.)
"Welcome," Abuela greeted as they moved to help them out of the wagon. Félix, Camilo, and Agustín helping with the luggage, and everyone else static behind the matriarch.
“Thank you for accepting our invitation!” the redhead exclaimed, almost shrieking, brimming with joy.
Dolores shuddered, unconsciously putting her hands to her ears, shielding herself from the pain.
"Ouch," he pronounced guilty.
“I am sorry for the inconvenience of your arrival; it must have been hard to get to our home. And I'm also sorry for Dolores's reaction, her gift is enhanced hearing, and she doesn't handle screaming very well.” Abuela, mustering as much formality as she could, explained.
"It wasn't that complicated, believe me, we've gotten worse" the blond boy laughed, "I'm Kristoff, by the way, Anna's fiancé, a pleasure" Kristoff now extended his hand to Abuela, who took it kindly.
“Soul, the matriarch of the family” To no pompous effect, Abuela introduced herself to the strangers.
"Queen Anna of Arendelle, but please, just call me Anna, seriously." She laughed nervously, then extended her hand enthusiastically. As she shook hands with Abuela, she did so quickly and excitedly.
"Okay, Anna." Abuela laughed.
“Princess Elsa of Arendelle. It is a real pleasure to meet you” and her words, her caliber, everything in her screamed; 'I am a queen'
That voice… that damn voice did things.
That thick, almost imperceptible scratchy bass. A natural friendliness is rooted in each syllable, melodious, harmonic tones. Dolores must have been enjoying that voice because if Isabela were her, she would never get tired of listening to it.
Well, her magic stung, her vines restless, her flowers yearning to wrap around the girl, spray her with their scent. She managed to keep the flowers under control, however, their power wrapped around her warmly, stirring, begging to be released.
Did Tía Pepa feel that way?
“You guys are extremely unique youngsters, so to get away from prying eyes when we introduce ourselves, it would be better to enter Casita… Our home.”
That was the signal, Luisa quickly took all the luggage from the hands of the three men on her back, unfastening the strange animal that they had brought with them to cuddle her on her back, also throwing the other so fucking strange animal on top of the animal.
That white thing didn't look like an animal… Was that a mouth?
Okay, that was scary, and Antonio seemed pretty scared of it, judging by his hands clasping his madre's dress. If the animal talker was scared, why wasn't she?
Still, she kept her composure.
The three boys seemed exceptionally surprised to see their little sister carrying so many things without really flinching.
"Now they'll find out" Camilo whispered proudly, and although his goal was not to be heard, Anna arched her eyebrow at Elsa, who saw her as an accomplice.
Once they entered the house, the three foreigners (plus a white thing and a furry deer) were enthralled by the beauty of the house, clearly surprised by the structure in it (and waiting for it to start moving).
"Casita, can you take this to my room?" Maribel said happily. A couple of slabs came off to 'nod', taking the luggage between their steps and moving expertly.
Forget it, the gawking expressions of the white thing, the furry deer, the redhead, and the blonde were a cool thing.
:∅
However, Elsa's precious little thing had only a shine, an enraptured shine, that attracted Isabela's gaze more than any painting.
She wasn't just shocked, the shock on her features wasn't just childish. She was completely and genuinely…hopeful.
Yes, hope was exactly the word.
Emotion, joy, hope, wonder, belonging. Such a perfect blend, so precious, so unique.
Isabela only wanted to unravel. Meet this woman.
Oh God!, what makes a pretty face, Now, behave yourself, Isabela, enough!
When the door finally closed, the Madrigals felt completely free to express their curiosity in long, penetrating glances. Antonio even approached the deer.
"What are you?" he asked, oblivious to the blonde's confused look and Anna's amused look.
A bray and a neigh were enough for the boy to understand a thousand words.
"Oh... I've never seen one!" laughed “can I?” He pointed to the mount, and without waiting, the huge animal picked him up from the ground.
Kristoff looked even more surprised.
"How are you, Sweetie?" asked Pepa, looking at the smiling face of the youngest of the family.
“It's a reindeer, mom! They're not from here, and their name is Sven” he said, happy.
oh, reindeer not venison Understood.
"How…?" Kristoff looked seriously, lost.
“That is Toñito's gift” Abuela clarified “our family was blessed, in my youth. When they persecuted us when my husband died, the magic came to me, to my three children, and from there, each member of the family has a miracle. In most cases, it manifests as gifts. Not our Maribel, her magic is different, a glue, a protector” she explained lovingly, her hand wrapping around Mirabel, who tensed a bit from her Abuela's affections.
Isabela knew that her sister didn't like Abuela's touch very much, and although she loved her, it was as simple as being creepy at being touched by someone who hurt you so much.
But that was to be hushed up for this week.
"Hello, I'm Juliet, youngest of the triplets" her Madre introduced herself, extending her hand towards the women and the boy, "my gift is healing through my food."
“I am Olaf! And I like hugs!” the white thing exclaimed…
And a storm cloud cracked over us, the animals got excited, Camilo turned into a girl with old woman's hands and crossed eyes, Dolores screamed, Mirabel and Luisa screamed and Isabela almost attacked with a nearby vine.
"What's that?!" Mirabel exclaimed, raised on Luisa by fright.
"A snowman... my sister brought him to life..." laughed Anna, pleased that now they were the ones surprised.
“Doll of what…?” Pepa looked confused, the cloud cleared, the humid wind appearing again.
"Snow, doesn't it snow here?" we all remained silent.
"Um," Tía Pepa vocalized "well, I'm Pepa, my gift is to control the weather depending on my emotions... and a snowfall requires strict feelings..."
The few snowfalls that there were at the births of Dolores, Camilo, and Antonio, a mixture of pain and happiness, although there was also a little snow at the birth of Luisa and Mirabel. According to Julieta, in Isabela's as well, but they were at the time when flowers greeted the world with their beauty, so the snow and the flowers brought a precious single during her first cries.
Simply complicated.
"Makes sense..." Elsa muttered, almost to herself, getting into her head.
"What else can they do?" Kristoff asked, impatient for more information.
"Yes! What else!?" the white thing… Olaf, he repeated. Oh! It was very close!
Isabela did her best to discreetly walk away.
"I lift very heavy things," said Luisa, taking Olaf in her arms to launch him tentatively. Gentle, just something fun he did constantly with Antonio.
And so, one by one the Madrigals introduced themselves. Camilo takes the forms of the guests, surprising them, and Pepa forms a small rainbow.
When Bruno opened his mouth and nothing came out of it, Juliet decided to intervene.
"This is Bruno, he sees the future... or the possibilities, at least."
“Oh! Like Grandpa Pabbie?” Bruno was taken aback by Olaf's words.
“He is something like… a sorcerer. He has some sightings into the future. He is highly respected in Arendelle” Elsa clarified the doubts, surprising Bruno a little.
“Even when they are negative things?” He stumbled over his words.
"Especially. It has helped us prevent Anna's death and the kingdom from flooding, and more than one catastrophe was eradicated” Bruno's eyes shone, longing for that fate.
Isabela thought that maybe they could help him love himself a little more.
Finally, it was time for him to introduce himself, and the truth is that he would be foolish to think that his magic had not overflowed.
A wild wave of itching, longing even, ran down her back, her muscles, every hidden and forbidden portion of her body. The vibration of magic enlivened nearby flowers and branches, nature vigorously responding to the fervent beating of her heart.
And just spreading her fingers, thousands of flowers, colors as varied and lively as they have always been, refreshing and fragrant smells, everything, hit the site hard.
"Isabela Madrigal, my gift is lianas and nature, flowers, leaves, and stems" vines crawled through the Casita, and her chest was startled by the beautiful blue eyes.
“Oh, that's quite contrary to my gift” and a perfect imitation of her flowers froze the place.
A goddess?
That girl was the very demon of seduction.
Her pale, thin hands brushed away soft shreds of white frost, which froze and materialized into perfectly sculpted ice.
Her rosy face smiled, showing off her gift.
And although her relatives gasped in surprise, joy, Isabela just wanted to throw herself on top of that seductive demon.
Shit! Behave, woman!
Okay, okay, the damn flowers technically crooned, laughing at her misery.
Doing her best to maintain her graceful bearing (a huge piece of trash compared to Elsa since everything about her screamed “respect me and kneel before me” which, to be honest, she would), she undid her vines into petals.
“Your gift is beautiful!” Toñito spoke immediately, going over to an ice sculpture to touch it.
A few seconds later, he removed his little hands.
"And ice cream, don't touch it, it hurts," he laughed nervously. Pepa scolded him slightly with her eyes.
"Okay! Now that they are here! Why doesn't Isabela show them around?" Dolores interrupted, surprising everyone since her voice had even risen.
"What?" the eldest daughter of the Madrigal house was seriously confused. Abuela was supposed to do that job. A wink from Dolores told her everything.
That damn bitch.
Her magic was recognizable to the Madrigals, of course! Or it was her heart or her libido, but damn Dolores knew something was up.
"I say, yes, of course! I am the oldest of the Madrigals, it would be an honor and my duty to show you the wonders of Casita" the game continued, her 'perfect smile', practiced and refined, painted her face.
“In that case, we will set the table. Make yourself at home,” Julieta said, directing the Madrigals to their kitchen duties, giving Isabela free space to give her tour.
O magic candle, burn it to the ground.
The tour was uneventful, although her palms were sweaty and her breath hitched from time to time, the room inspection was a success.
The typical Camilo disasters did not exist, and each room was neat (and revealing things well hidden), when she showed her room, now full of paintings and pictures made of flowers or their pigment, everyone seemed delighted.
Elsa was getting more and more comfortable, as she looked, looking at every corner excitedly, asking about magic with all her being, curious about the gift. Isabela only narrated, in summary, the story that Abuela always told.
The sisters seemed thoughtful, looking at each other, sharing conversations.
She had to admit, Isabela missed that kind of connection with her sisters, however, all her time trying to be "perfect" had taken away a lot of connection. Fortunately, it was rebuilt, slowly, of course, but it was.
When they were about to go down the stairs, Casita raised her tiles urgently, announcing dinner. Isabela informed them and they headed to the kitchen, Anna engaging in a light conversation with Madrigal and Elsa was only silent.
The food went well.
Elsa spoke of her homeland, Anna backing her up with glowing comments and Olaf echoing the same. Toñito quickly fell in love with the white bug and once dinner was over they went to play with Sven, and the Madrigals told brief anecdotes, Camilo practically dragging Kristoff and Mirabel into the woods, claiming that "Kristoff must have known the deer."
Dolores decided to spend the last hours before going to sleep with Mariano, and Julieta, Agustín, Pepa, and Félix washed the dishes, tidying up the kitchen.
Alma ended up talking to Elsa, both curious about each other's magic, and Isabela, not wanting to be a gossip like her cousin, quickly retired to her room.
Inside, her magic was unleashed.
The excruciating itch, the constant tingling, immediately receded in waves of magic, the flowers changing their shades of violet to blue, the white of jasmine and orchid filling the room, and the increasingly light blue vines drooping and waving, glad of the presence. shake.
She could hear each life, all making a hideous (annoying) echo of her feelings, her attraction.
In the short time, she had spent with the former queen, any hope of finding her unpleasant and crushing her pounding heart was gone, as the melodic laughter was only well-intentioned and kind.
The sympathetic, surprised, even childish glances only tore at the depths of her being. She couldn't even remember their conversations without a sigh in between.
Exceptional intelligence, natural elegance, icy as her body was, her heart seemed warm and caring, a keen intuition for every interaction with her younger sister or her friends. Even when he lifted Toñito slightly to mount him on Sven, as elegant as he was kind.
Isabela couldn't handle that combination.
How did it get so fast? That was not normal!
That magical woman had some kind of spell, because holy candle! She hoped she wasn't the only one with those symptoms.
(Secretly, she was happy to be the only one, so only she would profess her feelings, still secretly).
Light tapping alerted her, stopping her thoughts. Abuela? Had he done something wrong? Would he come to scold her? Her stance?
He shook her head. Intrusive thoughts out! They were supposed to be trying to overcome that…
Once again her door rang, however, a singsong prayer informed her of who lay behind.
"Miss Elizabeth?" Oh shit.
"One moment!"
She lowered the bed, hurrying to adjust her dress and reach the door.
"Elsa?" opening the door, she was met with the aforementioned, regal, majestic "Is something wrong?"
“No, no, not at all. I just wanted to talk to you.” Weird. He stepped aside, allowing Elsa to pass. Her eyes nervously scanned around, staring at the flowers in wonder and a kind of…regret.
“My sister did something to you? Mirabel is hyperactive, but it was never with bad intentions” no idea what was going on, but Elsa wouldn't come to her room just for the sake of it.
"Your sister has been absolutely lovely!" Elsa yelled in low tones “I was just…talking to your Abuela, and she advised me that it would be refreshing to talk to you about your family, because of…age and all.”
Elizabeth raised her eyebrow.
"No offense, Your Majesty, but you can probably talk to the wisest of adults without missing a beat, I don't see why talking to me would be 'refreshing'."

"No offense, Your Majesty, but you can probably talk to the wisest of adults without missing a beat, I don't see why talking to me would be 'refreshing'."
"Weren't you born with it?" Isabella denied.
“All Madrigals are born with magic, but only at the age of 5 do we receive a gift, well, most of them. Still, Mirabel also has magic. The easy way to tell is through illness, Casita, and how our gifts can't hurt someone in our family on purpose.” Elsa seemed interested, though as she finished her sentence, a guilty expression crushed her angelic features.
She stopped her explanation, giving Elsa time to express her feelings.
“I… harmed my sister. We were both very small, it wasn't even on purpose… and it was my magic's fault.” Elsa bit her lower lip, looking away.
"Hey, we all did dumb things with our gifts that unintentionally hurt someone we loved." But the pitiful expression did not go away.
Her hand summoned a small flower, placing it in Elsa's white palm.
“When Mirabel was born, I was only six years old, I was very inexperienced in my gift, I could barely control the flowers. I had had a bad day when Dolores told me that mom was giving birth…”
“I went immediately to the house, Dolores at my side. Tía Pepa had a few months old Camilo in her arms while a storm devastated the town.”
"Shortly after, we heard a cry" she smiled, lost in thought. The mere memory of that first sob made her heart float, love for her family lit up her face, "and happiness was inexplicably immediate."
“When my Madre let me pick her up, I was so happy I grew a rose…and the thorns stuck in Mirabel's little hand.” Her brow furrowed.
“She still has the scar. On her right hand, inside of her wrist. Mirabel was too young to eat anything. Mom's milk made it stop hurting and closed the wound faster, but the scar didn't go away." He looked up, previously lost in the scattered, half-painted (or over-painted) canvases.
“Camilo scared Toñito too many times when he was growing up by suddenly changing shape, Luisa once squeezed Dolores so hard that she broke a rib. Things like that. But our love remained, and the mistakes were gradually rectified until we almost fully mastered our abilities.” Isabela smiled now, her eyes searching Elsa's blue wells.
An eternity passed, and the thin lips moved.
"It's beautiful..." Isabela nodded slightly.
“There were always problems, and a lot of fights, nothing stopped us. Even when Maribel turned out to have no magic, no one flinched. I think that would be one reason why Mirabel has always been so reckless, headstrong” this time Elsa perked up.
“So that's the reason! Anna too, careless, reckless, her bravery bordering on stupid. He always tells me 'I gave you back Arendelle, I saved the summer, I saved you from my ex-boyfriend and I survived a frozen curse, and all that without powers' to justify her nonsense "
Anna's ex-boyfriend what?
It seemed that her confusion was palpable because Elsa hastened to briefly explain the story to him.
And one thing led to another.
Her younger sisters were a very extensive topic, then Tía Pepa's powers, does Isabela have an allergy to a flower? Did Elsa ever catch a cold?
Surprisingly, both questions were yes.
They moved closer, gently, on the bed. Elsa gesticulated every time she spoke, occasionally interpreting something with ice. Isabela only saw her, squeezing a pillow, and every time she spoke, she threw some other petals to underline a scene.
The minutes passed, and the trivial conversations did not seem to end, when the three hours marked, Isabela sleepy had fallen on her pillow and Elsa snuggled against the opposite corner of the bed, hugging another pillow from there.
💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫
Concerned, Anna decided to leave the room given. Breaking out of Kristoff's slack arms around her, stepping carefully so as not to wake Olaf, and glancing at Mirabel.
When he noticed that the little girl was sleeping in an uncomfortable position, without a blanket, and was shivering from the cold currents of air, he paused for a moment and made sure to cover her well.
Satisfied by Mirabel's smile, muttering about something cute in her sleep.
Where was her sister?
As he was about to begin her search, a tile raised her foot. Startled, she looked down, noticing how some tiles were turned to take an arrow shape.
"Thanks... Eh, Caseeta?" the windows vibrated.
Had a house just made fun of her?
She followed the arrows until they led her to Isabela's room. The door shone with an intense, mesmerizing fury, the name flashing gold and the flowers almost seemed to move slightly, what an optical illusion.
The door opened by itself, clearly the work of Casita, because when she entered, silently, she observed two female figures in the distance, resting in a hammock-bed.
Feathery footsteps brought her close, and her eyes caught her sister gently hugging a pillow, her deep, regular breathing indicating her perfectly peaceful sleep. Beside him, Isabela shrank into herself, on her side, hugging her chest, shivering with cold.
Anna knew from her own experience that sleeping next to her sister was a bit chilly, and she knew how to shake off that chill. You just had to touch it.
Yeah, it was stupid, but touching Elsa made you kind of immune to cold like it pierced magic or something.
The hands that protected Isabela's chest were gently moved by Anna until they touched a little on Elsa's side. Immediately, both of them moved a little closer.
Grabbing a blanket spread at the foot of the bed, she wrapped them both as gently as she did Mirabel, and left, not wanting to wake both women.
She knew how difficult it was for Elsa to get out of her comfort zone, the fear she had experienced when leaving her home and heading to this place, so different and far from the people she loved and had come to affect her.
She was a presumptuous witness to the change her sister slowly went through. Nerves broke by the beauty of the encounter, her magic, previously contained, ceased fear, stretching to envelop the place with grandeur, almost necessity.
The ice melted, her sister changed her forced smile for truly joyful eyes, and now that she rested, curled up in warm magic, connected with people similar to her, she was so carefree, letting go of her anxieties, cradling in her chest a love for herself as never seen before.
Once he was out, he made sure to lock it up, and returned to her assigned room. Kristoff snuggled her back into his chest and slept happily, knowing that her sister seemed to have found a comfortable place where her magic wasn't the only one, happy for her family, warm in the arms of love…and Kristoff.
Meanwhile, Elsa dropped the pillow and grabbed Isabela, who without hesitation wrapped her arms around the other girl's waist. Sleeping, their bodies searched for each other, magic connecting.
The flowers crystallized with icy wards, ice shards blending with nature. Their souls were examined and accepted, and somehow curiosity evolved, an almost permanent decision that their magic, their gift, their miracle, their gift, wanted to manifest.
United. United to start their own story.
