Chapter Text
Beep beep beep, beep beep beep, beep beep- The alarm stopped as Ranboo turned on his phone and groaned. He then tried pushing himself up. Oh, right, the meetup is today! Ranboo slipped out of bed and tried to make sure his stuff was all packed. Then the thought struck him, as it had all the time leading up to this moment. Tubbo was completely unaware that Ranboo was transgender. Ranboo tried to hold down his fear of his friend hating him once he did find out, and he picked up a binder, sliding on a white shirt and a light blue hoodie, jeans following soon after.
After what felt like the fifty-millionth time going over everything again, his parents appeared at his door. “Oh, look at my child, all grown up!” his mother cooed, as his father smiled warmly at his son. “Well, we have breakfast made, if you’d like to eat before you have to leave. It’s your favourite, since you might not like the British food over there. You can just leave the luggage, we’ll get it all when we’re done eating, alright, Boo?” Ranboo smiled at him. “Sure, dad,” he whispered back. Ranboo really appreciated his parent’s help.
As the trio made their way down the steps, Ranboo realized he forgot his phone. He’d probably need that. So Ranboo quickly ran to his room and grabbed it, quickly noticing that Tubbo had texted him.
Tubs

Ranboo pocketed his phone, rolling his eyes positively as he practically flew down the stairs. He swung into his chair, and it knocked the wind out of him. He regained his breath after a bit and smiled at his parents, finally digging in. He got a notification from discord right after he finished eating and he perked up, opening his phone to see it was from Tommy. Tommyinnit, the big man. Ranboo snickered as he opened their dms.
Big man

Ranboob
Oh em gee I’m so scared /s

Ranboo laughed at this.
Ranboob

Big man

Ranboo giggled and slipped his phone in his pocket. He walked upstairs with his family, talking about how the meetup is going to go, how they’re gonna introduce him to chat and such, but even Ranboo and Tubbo were unsure how it would go. They seemingly took an hour or so to get his luggage in the trunk of his mom's car, and he climbed into the backseat as they decidedly left to catch the plane. It left in a little less than an hour, so that might’ve been a good idea. Ranboo plugged in his earbuds and turned on Lemon Demon.
A few hours later, Ranboo was about an hour away from the United Kingdom, and was fighting for consciousness. He was half asleep, he had fallen asleep a few times before too. That would be all fine and dandy, until he realized he fell asleep in his binder, and worse yet, he was overbinding. Ranboo rubbed comforting circles into his ribcage, hoping it wouldn’t hurt so bad, and he resorted to falling asleep.
He woke up when the plane was landing, and he blinked tiredly, trying to take in his surroundings. Before he could comprehend it, they were on the ground. Once landed, Ranboo got up and stretched, and immediately went to get his luggage. He heard the familiar discord notification, and he looked at Tubbo’s message.
Tubs
Boo
Hye boo
Whare are yoy?
Ranboo decidedly looked up and from across the crowd, he saw a 5’5 brown haired male. He quietly made his way over, decided to give him a scare. Ranboo took his place behind him, and said “Hey! Can I have a picture with you?” and Tubbo whipped around, but it took him a second to realize that was Ranboo. He gasped and yelled, “Ranboo!” as he hugged the taller. Ranboo patted his shoulders and said, “In the flesh, Tubbo.” A second later, he was being dragged by the shorter out, with his luggage all brought with him. He almost ran into someone, flinching when they yelled at him.
Soon enough, they were walking to Tubbo’s car. “So, boss man, you know how to drive?” He cocked his eyebrow at the American, who shook his head sheepishly. “Well, you’re American,” Tubbo laughed, and Ranboo looked at him, smiling. “What’s that supposed to mean?” He asked defensively. They giggled and got into a whole debate about whether America or Britain was better, and in the end, Ranboo ended up agreeing that Britain is better.
Tubbo pulled into his driveway, and offered to help carry his luggage in. When Ranboo declined his offer, he ran up to the door and held it open. And Ranboo was fine with that, until Tubbo said, “after you, m’lady,” and giggled. Ranboo grew stiff and his face pale. He knew Tubbo was joking and that Tubbo didn’t know he was transgender, but… He pulled his mask and sunglasses on, feeling uncomfortable. He didn’t know how or what he could say that would get the point across that Ranboo was uncomfortable with those jokes, it was usual playful banter.
“Bossman, you good?” Tubbo looked at the taller concerned, who was unaware he even stopped. The second he snapped back to reality, Tubbo slapped his hand to Ranboo's forehead. Ranboo raised his eyebrows. “Yes?” He frowned at the shorter. His forehead hurt. The shorter blinked slowly at Ranboo. “Are you okay?”
Ranboo gulped and replied, “Yep, just fine! Let’s go.” Tubbo reluctantly grabbed some of Ranboo’s stuff, despite his protests. They brought everything into the living room, and left it there. Ranboo fell to the ground, exhausted. He let his breathing catch up, until Tubbo kicked him lightly.
“Come on, Bossman!” Tubbo rushed into his own room, to show Ranboo what bed was his. Ranboo followed, remarking on how clean it was. He sighed as he fell back onto his bed. “I’m so tired,” Ranboo groaned, and he pulled out his phone. He opened it to look at the time and - bam - it fell on his face. “Agghh,” Ranboo rubbed his face. That hurt.
“We need to get food, then you can sleep. I know you don’t like eating on planes,” Tubbo smiled. Ranboo pulled himself up. No matter how much he hated it, he was right. He was pretty hungry anyways. He followed Tubbo down, the two talking about whatever nonsense they could before reaching the kitchen. Tubbo suddenly got an idea, he reached into the cabinet and pulled out beans.
Ranboo jumped, it genuinely scared him for a second, until he was pretending. Tubbo giggled and looked back into the cabinet, they decided on bread for the night. Neither were really hungry, Tubbo had eaten earlier, and Ranboo just wanted to sleep. Once they ate their bread, Tubbo and Ranboo went back into their room, picking up Ranboo’s stuff on the way there.
Once Ranboo and Tubbo finished making Ranboo’s bed, Ranboo almost immediately fell asleep. He was tired from the flight. Tubbo looked up and said, “Ranboo, do you wanna…” he realized that he was already asleep. He shook his head, laughing quietly. He plugged in his phone and turned in for the night as well.
-------
Ranboo blinked his eyes open. There were tear tracks down his face, from his eyes being tired. He flopped backwards and groaned as he realized he forgot to plug his phone in and it was dead. He plugged it in, and noticed Tubbo waking up.
“Hey, big man,” Tubbo yawned as they made eye contact. Ranboo blinked before he processed that Tubbo said something. Ranboo whispered, “Hey, Tubbo,” and he felt a pain around his chest. He realized he fell asleep with his binder on. He gasped quietly as he touched his ribs gingerly, Tubbo clearly noticed.
“Hey, Ranboo, what are you wearing under that? A sort of bra?” Tubbo giggled at the very clear joke. But Ranboo’s breath caught. “Your hands look a little feminine right now,” Tubbo joked, again. “Uh, it’s not a bra, it’s an undershirt, and second, do they now?” Ranboo tried to hide his panic with a smirk.
“Your hands look so fragile,” Tubbo laughed lightheartedly, crawling over and picking his hand up. It was all a joke. He knew it was all a joke. He knew Tubbo thought he was cisgender. Ranboo felt tears welling up. He made sure to put his mask and glasses on, able to play it off as being awkward with Tubbo’s family.
Tubbo stopped Ranboo from walking out, saying, “Big man, you have to change.” Ranboo slapped his forehead and said, “Oh, yeah.” He grinned, quickly realizing Tubbo couldn’t see. He went over to his clothing and picked a white shirt, a Hawaiian shirt, and some jeans, retreating to the bathroom to change and do morning care. He locked the door and immediately took his binder off. G*d, it hurt so much. Ranboo groaned as he started getting ready, he put a shirt over his chest and ducking his chest out of the mirrors view to brush his teeth and do whatever else he needed to do. He then put his binder back on, and put his other clothes on. Ranboo walked out of the bathroom humming to Lemon Demon from his earbuds. He met Tubbo back in their room, Tubbo sitting on his own bed, probably scrolling through social media.
“Oh, hey Ranboo,” Tubbo looked up, and crawled over to the edge of his own bed. He grabbed the taller and hugged him, and Ranboo chuckled, hugging back. “It’s so nice to finally see you, face to face, Tubbo,” Ranboo smiled. Tubbo whispered back, “The feelings mutual, boss man.”
“Now let’s go eat!” Tubbo dragged him down the hall, Ranboo yelped as he grabbed his arm. Tubbo looked back and saw that the taller was enjoying it, laughing even, but… he saw something unsettling. The scars on his arms. He pushed that back, even though a few were really recent. He’d ask after breakfast.
Tubbo and Ranboo stopped into the kitchen, and there were pancakes. Probably made specially for Ranboo’s first breakfast in the UK. Tubbo’s mother was well known for her special, amazing pancakes. The two boys sat at the table. “Well, hello there, boys!” Ranboo hummed quickly and replied with a small wave. Tubbo’s mother sat a pancake in front of each of the boys. Ranboo thanked her, and then the two began eating. They were speaking about how they would spend the trip to the UK, and Ranboo finished eating. His ribs hurt, but Tubbo had planned a stream.
Ranboo and Tubbo made their way into the living room, where the stream would take place. Tubbo forgot all about the scars. Tubbo told Ranboo how it would go down. “Okay, Ranboo, I deny that we will ever meet up, when I tap my desk twice, walk in and say, ‘ouch’, got it?” Tubbo smiled. Ranboo giggled and said, “Sounds like you don’t want to meet up with me, then, Tubbo,” Ranboo smiled and nudged his shoulder, but stayed where he was.
Soon enough, the stream had started, and immediately he was bombarded with questions involving the meet up. “No chat, I will not meet up with Ranboo. Like, ever. Him and I aren’t friends anymore.” Tubbo did the tap two times, and Ranboo walked into frame, pulling up a chair. “Ouch?” He smiled, though no one could see it. Tubbo and Ranboo burst out laughing, and they settled down for their stream. Ranboo made the mistake of looking through chat, though.
While Tubbo played minecraft, Ranboo read chat, a few particular donations saying, “Ranboo looks so feminine today” or “femboo femboo pog?” Ranboo’s breath caught, for what seemed like the thousandth time within the one day he had been at Tubbo’s house.
Ranboo grasped at the chair handles, but he couldn’t do it anymore, so he got up to leave. Tubbo didn’t know if anything had happened, pulling out his phone to text the taller.
Tubs
Bossamn are yoy oky?
Ranboob
I’m fine, Tubbo, I’m tired
Tubs
Oh alriht
Ranboob
Can I take a shower?
Tubs
Be mu gest
“Can I take a shower?” Ranboo asked the shorter from around the corner, not knowing he had replied. Tubbo answered with a small nod, and a “be my guest.” Ranboo took this as an invitation to leave for good, grab his shower supplies, and lock the bathroom door.
Ranboo’s tears finally spilled. He didn’t look like a man. Looking at his face was worse, he just looked so g*dd*mn feminine. Ranboo decided to wait until the mirror was fogged up and he couldn’t see his own body, however, he sat against the door. He looked at his arm. It doesn’t deserve to be so.. Unopened. You lie to everyone that believes you’re a boy, you never will be . Ranboo looked around frantically, finding anything he could use. There was a glass shard, big enough to do the job.
Ranboo picked up the glass shard, and made neat-ish lines down his arm. He had brought the first long sleeve shirt he had, and he took off his pants too, to mess his thighs up. Ranboo couldn’t believe what he did, In a new person's home who didn’t accept you into their home to cut, Ranboo’s breathing came out in short quick breaths.
Ranboo sobbed into his hands, he just wanted to pass, he just wanted to be a guy. Apparently, he was being too loud, there was knocking, and Tubbo’s voice came after. “Ranboo? Are you okay?” he called. Ranboo tried putting on his best convincing voice and called back, “I’m fine.”
Tubbo wasn’t buying it, though.
“Boo, open this door, please,” Tubbo knocked lightly. Ranboo’s eyes went wide. He couldn’t just deny Tubbo access to his own house. Ranboo put his shirt back on and opened the door. “Yeah?” Ranboo asked. Ranboo thought he was doing a good job hiding it, until he realized his shirt was white.
“Ranboo?” Tubbo looked up at him, worriedly, “What’d you do?” Ranboo looked at him, and broke down instantly. Gravity was taken from under him, as he fell to the ground, sobbing. “Boo!” Tubbo held his hand and said, “You know you can tell me anything, right?” Ranboo shook his head, he wasn’t even gonna be able to get his words out. Tubbo, though, sat with him until he calmed down.
“Boo? What’s wrong?” Tubbo rubbed the tallers back as he slumped over in defeat. In his defense, those types of things always drained his energy. Ranboo whispered, “I can’t tell you yet. You’ll hate me.” Tubbo looked at him, shocked. “I would never hate you! But you don’t have to tell me yet if you don’t want to. Why don’t we just take care of this, and you can sleep?” Ranboo sniffed and nodded, standing up and letting Tubbo get the first aid stuff. He and Tubbo walked up to their room, Ranboo’s arms bandaged, and Ranboo almost immediately fell asleep after taking his binder off. He was tired, but he didn’t realize where he put his binder…
Ranboo woke up to Tubbo scrolling on social media and listening to music. Once Tubbo realized he was awake, he pulled his earbud out and held up the binder. “Ranboo, what is this?” Tubbo looked at him, confused. Ranboo gasped and said “Uhh- I, uh-” he blanked. He had to tell him.
“Tubbo, you support LGBTQ, correct?” Ranboo asked. Tubbo smiled and said, “Yes, of course!” Ranboo fiddled with his shirt. “Well, uh. Tubbo, I’m transgender,” Ranboo looked down in shame. Tubbo whispered, “Oh my god.” Ranboo prepared for the worst, but Tubbo got up and hugged him. “I’m so sorry, I feel so bad for misgendering you… If I had known… but it’s okay, that’s no one’s business but yours,” Tubbo hugged him tighter. Ranboo hugged him back, tears threatening to spill again.
“I’m so glad you told me though, I’m so proud of you,” Tubbo mumbled as he let go of the hug. “So, does anyone else know?” Ranboo looked to the side and muttered, “No, you’re the first person to know.” Tubbo beamed and said, “Yeah! You trust me!” Ranboo snorted at this, and pulled himself up. He grabbed his binder, and went into the bathroom to put it on. Once Ranboo left with his binder on, the two boys decided they’d play minecraft before any other stuff could happen.
