“Looks like we’re having another Vanessa!” Chica exclaims cheerfully as she storms into the practice room where the rest of the Glamrock animatronics are. She squawks loudly as she trips on one of the duffle bags.
Roxanne immediately rushes over, reaching her hand out—
“Saved!” she cheers.
Chica falls face flat onto the ground.
—Roxy’s hands hold firmly to the pizza box. She turns around excitedly. “Thank god the pizza didn’t fall onto the floor,” Roxy says, placing it on a nearby table. She opens the box, the smell of fresh pizza engulfing her nose, and takes one slice and bites into it. Her tail starts wagging.
Monty, on the other hand, didn’t show interest in the chicken animatronic on the floor, and comes over to take a slice of pizza for himself. “Woah, the pizza is still warm. The kitchen is very far from here.”
Chica reaches her hand out, still on the ground. “Pizza...!”
“Are you okay?” Freddy asks concernedly as he jogs over to help her up. “Roxy!”
“What?” Roxy turns her head, narrowing her eyes at the bear. Freddy was holding her arm to help her stand up. Immediately, Roxy knew what Freddy was going to say and rolled her eyes. “She would’ve wanted to save the pizza!”
“She’s not lying,” Chica replies. As soon as she got up, she jogs her way over, taking one, two, three slices for herself and stuffing it down her beak.
Monty pulls down his glasses, squinting his eyes at her. “I’m going to have to ask you to refrain from hoarding all the pizza,” he says, pulling the box away from the chicken. “At least savor the taste.”
“I am! It helps bring out the flavor!” Chica retorts, forcefully taking back the pizza box. She takes another slice, swallowing it whole without chewing.
“You ate half of the box already!” Monty exclaims, trying to pull the pizza box away from Chica. However, her grip on the box was tight and she was determined to not let go. “What? You’re gonna eat the box too?!”
“Now, now.” Freddy brings Chica’s attention back to him. “First, what do you mean we have another Vanessa?”
Chica stares blankly, then immediately claps her hands. “I mean that we have another Vanessa!” she cheers. “It calls for a celebration, doesn’t it? And, celebrations mean pizza!” She turned her head to get another slice but the box was empty.
Chica looked up at Roxy and Monty. Roxy was looking away, appearing as if she didn’t take a slice, but the string of cheese on the corner of her mouth said otherwise. Monty, on the other hand, was still holding the pizza to his mouth, staring directly at Chica. Chica immediately focuses on Monty’s pizza as it slowly goes into his mouth. The pizza disappears as Monty closes his mouth.
“They ate my piz—”
“You’re right, it does call for a celebration!” Freddy immediately says, going in between the two animatronics. Monty flips Chica off with both of his hands. Chica immediately rushes over to him.
“What the f—”
“Let’s get one of the STAFF bots to bring another pizza!” Freddy holds his hand out, pushing back Chica from Monty. “So, we could celebrate it!”
Chica was still glaring at Monty, who was laughing. She can't budge in Freddy’s grip and immediately resigns. “Promise?” she asks, looking at Freddy.
“Promise,” Freddy says warmly. Chica glances at Monty and backs away. “Now, what do you mean we have another Vanessa?”
Chica squints her eyes. “I told you! We have another Vanessa,” she exclaims. “Though, they don’t answer when I call them Vanessa.”
“Do you mean we have another security guard?” Freddy asks.
Chica tilts her head. “Security guard? That’s what they’re called?” she asks back.
“Duh,” Roxy says, matter-of-factly, crossing her arms and sitting on the table. “Vanessa is just the name of the annoying blonde security guard. It’s so easy, even the STAFF bots know.”
Chica rolls her eyes. “How am I supposed to know that?! We only had one human Vanessa!” she exclaims, huffing.
“Security guard.” Monty looks at her.
Chica scoffs. “We only had one human security guard .” She glares at Monty. “Happy?”
Monty adjusts the glasses back up to his nose, the light reflecting off the lens. “Our baby chick is finally learning words.”
Chica was vibrating.
“Well, it’s just another security guard, anyways,” Roxy says nonchalantly, crossing her legs. “It’s not like they are any different from all the other security guards. Unless they disturb the peace, I don’t really care what they do.”
Freddy claps his hands. “Should we go greet them, then?” he asks curiously. “It would be good to greet the new worker! Make them feel at home!”
“Too much effort,” Monty answers, crossing his arms. “You all can go without me.” He begins making his way out of the rehearsal.
“Not like anyone wants to see you anyway!” Chica stomps her foot.
“You mad just ‘cause I ate a slice of pizza! All of that ain’t yours, y’know!” Monty retorts as he exits the room.
Chica pulls up her invisible sleeves. “Oh, you fu—”
“What about you, Roxy?” Freddy asks, interrupting Chica once more, while holding her back from chasing after Monty. “Will you come with us to greet the new security guard?”
Roxy shrugs. “Nah, you two can greet them,” she says, waving her hand dismissively. “I got better things to do.” She gets off the table, going to the stage to take her keytar before she heads out. “I’ll practice in my room.”
“Alright, see you!” Chica exclaims, waving her hand. As soon as Roxy leaves, Chica immediately mumbles, “When Monty and Roxy are alone, I swear I’ll get my revenge.” She balls her hands, raising them in front of her face. Her posture was the same as a boxer and she swings at the air. “Pow! Hit ‘em like this, y’know?”
When did she learn how to do that? Freddy chuckles nervously. “Let’s not.” He opens the door for Chica as the two of them exit the rehearsal room..
“They’ll never see it coming either!” she exclaims. The air made loud whooshing sounds as she punched the air. Suddenly, her fist comes into contact with someone’s head. Chica paused, surprised by the impact, before realizing someone was on the floor. “Oh no!” She gets on her knees.
Someone from the vents immediately mumbled, “Well, they definitely didn’t see that coming.”
Freddy immediately looks up to see Gregory in the vents. He narrows his eyes, mouthing, “ Gregory, get down from there! ”
Gregory flips him off and turns his back, the sound of shuffling becoming distant. Freddy sighs, shaking his head, before checking on the person on the floor. He knows that Gregory will eventually come out of the vents because of the other animatronic that crawls in there.
“Are they okay?” Freddy asks, trying to see the person, but Chica was blocking the view.
“It’s the new Vanessa!” she exclaims, sobbing. “I killed the new Vanessa!”
“No, I’m sure you didn’t,” Freddy tries to reassure, though the possibility that the person might be dead was pretty high. Chica and the rest of the animatronics were made of metal and the fact that Chica was swinging pretty hard— It could be the same as having a car crashing into a human. “Let me check, Chica, I have more data about first aid—”
“Who killed who, now?” Vanessa comes into the scene, holding her flashlight at the two of them, clearly confused. She looks to the floor. “Oh, you mean the new security guard—” She gasps in realization. “Wait a minute, did you just knock out- We need to take them to the first aid station!”
It must be pretty bad , Freddy thinks, hearing Vanessa’s tone. The bear still couldn’t see what happened to the security guard. He follows after the two with the security guard being carried by Chica. “Maybe, we should call the hospital?”
“And, get Chica scrapped?” Vanessa asks. She scoffs. “She’ll get decommissioned if they found out the reason the new security guard got injured.”
Chica was still sobbing. “I deserved it anyways!” she cries, her voice becoming distant as she gets farther. She was running to the first aid station faster than the two of them were, which was rather surprising because she was the slowest animatronic between the four of them.
She was the first to get into the first aid station, placing the security guard onto the table. “Alright, uh, alright, what do I do?” she mumbles to herself, pacing around the room. “Oh gosh, Freddy knows more about this than I do! I should’ve—”
There was a loud groan behind her. “Damn, that was worse than when I got hit by the bus.” They sigh exasperatedly. “Well, you gotta do what you gotta do to get free college tuition.”
Chica whips her head around, seeing the security guard sitting with their back resting on the wall. “You’re not dead!”
“Unfortunately.” The security guard had their hand on their head. Liquid drips down from their hand to their arm and they pull down their arm, inspecting it. “Wow, I’m bleeding,” they nonchalantly said. They lift their head, lazily looking at Chica. “Hey, can you find some gauze bandages?”
“Gauze bandages?” Chica asks as she looks around. “I think I remember seeing it somewhere- Ah! There it is!” She rushes to the corner, picking up a white box, and pulls out a roll of bandages. “Now what?!” The security guard was silent for awhile. Chica looks at them worriedly. “Please don’t lose consciousness!” she yells, rushing to the guard and putting both of her hands on their cheeks. “Oh goodness, I see in movies where they slap the person to keep them awake. Do I need to do that too?” she asks herself, already raising her right arm to test it out.
The security guard immediately shakes their head. “Please don’t, haha. I’ll most likely die if I get hit with a metal object twice in a row.” Chica lowered her arm. “I would wrap the bandages by myself, but I’m rather dizzy.” The security guard tilts their head, lazily smiling. “I can’t do it myself, so could you wrap the bandages around my head?” They lean close towards Chica.
Chica blinks, feeling herself overheating. Was she malfunctioning? “Huh, I, uh, yeah...” She unrolls the gauze bandage and brings it close to their head. Her metal plate sensors picked up the security guard’s breath, only causing her to overheat more. She didn’t understand why it caused her to overheat.
“I think that’s good enough.” The security guard hums. Chica blinks, realizing that she put a little bit too much around the human’s head. She opens her mouth to apologize but the security guard smiles at her, saying, “You did a wonderful job. Thank you... Chica, right?”
Has the security guard always looked this cute?
“I... Uh...” Chica fumbles with her words.
