    In the end, when Armin finally could get a break, he was kept up by nightmares and seeing ghosts at every corner. The shadows under his eyes were more prominent now than a few weeks ago, the once brilliant blue irises – so similar to the ocean the boy himself loved so much – dulled and bloodshot. 

    "All I ever wanted was to see the ocean,” Armin said out of blue, words hardly above the whisper. He raised his hand to scrub at his eyes, running them even redder. “I guess I got my wish.”

    ‘Not everyone was that lucky’ went unsaid but hung heavily between them.
