Summary
So when the formal letter arrived from the King and Queen Consort on Keiji’s eighteenth birthday, breaking off their son’s engagement, it did not bother Keiji in the slightest. When he received a personal letter from the Prince, delivered by a faithful servant, that bled endless apologies, it did not irk Keiji. He did not blame the Prince for it was no fault of their own that their autonomy had been ignored — it was not their fault that a business deal had been brokered with them as the pawns and subsequently relinquished due to an improbable circumstance.
