Summary
S1 partial AU. Lucifer lashes out like a rabid, wounded animal whenever people get near or try to touch his back. Despite his blatant egomania and vanity, Chloe has never seen him shirtless. He claims that it’s because he ‘lost his wings’.
Their colleagues at the LAPD always theorize in hushed whispers that he was abused as a child, that his back is covered in the kind of scars left by a belt.
As Chloe grows closer to Lucifer, she suspects that it’s much worse than that. She’s right.
