Why did you take this job? Maybe it was the high pay, or the night shifts, probably your interest in the advanced tech in the place. Whatever compelled you to take the job didn’t really matter, what did matter on the other hand, was the fact that your shift was about to start.
You had moved into your new home and suddenly had the realization that rent existed. You had to hurry to find a job, so find you did. After about an hour or so of looking at crappy jobs, you found something that looked to good to be true;

Night Shift
After reading further into the job posting, you decided it was the best you were going to get, so you submitted your resume in hopes that they would take you. In less than an hour, You got a phone call asking you to come in for an interview. The rest of the day was spent prepping, going to said interview, and figuring out how you would get sleep with the new schedule.
That brings you to now, standing outside the infamous Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzaplex. You thought about the rumors of this building as well as its predecessors. You chuckled at the idea, though you did know the rumors weren’t all false, the police reports can back that up. You walk in, having a decent idea of where to go, so you start making your way to Parts and Services. You had been told that as long as you made sure the animatronics were working, you could do as you pleased. With that in mind, you planned to meet the animatronics today, excited to see if they were as human as people said they were, as well as explore the building and learn its layout. You arrived at parts and services and looked around. The place was a little unsettling with caged endo skeletons and what looked to be test chambers. You clocked in and waited for the “Now closing,” in hopes that you could avoid people.
Once your shift officially started, you realized you didn’t know where to go first, so you made sure your Fazwatch was on and you left to go… somewhere? The one definite decision for your adventure was that you would meet the animatronics last ending with the daycare. It took you a good hour or so to explore the building since you didn’t go around in order of closeness before making your way to Rockstar row. There were four animatronics that should be here, Freddy, Roxy, Monty, and Chica. You, of course, Started with the main man, Freddy.
You knocked on the orange door (Really? They are animatronics, they could care less if you knocked.) and after a few seconds, A large bear animatronic opened the door. This reminded you that you did this with no game plan, and you were at a loss for words after seeing him in person.
“H, Hi! I’m Y/n, the new mechanic,” you stammered out.
“Oh! Hello there, it's nice to meet you Y/n!” it chirped back. The two of you continued to speak for the next few minutes with the two of you asking and answering questions such as, “Why did you take the job?” and “What is it like working in the Pizzaplex?” You ended up learning a lot from the short interaction, like the fact that they could “feel” the full range of emotions, the AI the animatronics had could build on itself, and they had sensors that allowed them to feel different parts of their bodies. They also had other features like facial recognition and the ability to say things that weren’t auto generated, which made sense considering the AI.
Finally, you left Freddy’s room, you headed to the next, still amazed at the fact that they were almost human when it came to the physiological traits. The next person was Roxy. You heard muttering behind the door, and you contemplated what might be behind the doors before knocking. A grumble sounded before the door swung open and an angry wolf towered over you. The anger seemed to subside as she realized you weren’t whoever she thought you were.
“Who are you, you know it's after hours, right?” she growled.
“I’m the new mechanic, I just wanted to introduce myself,” you squeak back. With that, she gave a short’ “oh,” before gesturing at you to enter the room. You meekly enter before noticing a second animatronic.
“Hello! It's nice to meet you.” she sang. You knew her as Chica, one of the four you planned to visit. You introduced yourself again and practically got pounced on by them. They asked things like if you wanted to dress up, have a makeover, and who your favorite in the group was. It was a little overwhelming, but you did your best to explain that you couldn’t spend that much time with them, as well as trying to avoid the other questions, much to Roxy’s displeasure. The girls eventually freed you, but only after painting your nails. Your left hand had green nails while the nails on your right hand had pink paint on it.
You sighed as you made your way to the last animatronic in Rockstar row, Monty. You had heard he had a temper which made you a little nervous, but you were sure he couldn’t be that bad… You didn’t even get to knock before he slammed the door open to a pissed off gator that was even more pissed to see you in front of him. He growled and you got out of his way just to watch him disappear through a door at the end of the hall. You consider It to be a win since you weren’t dead, but it did look like you’d be taking the tunnels rather than going through the atrium to get to the daycare if you wanted to avoid the grump.
