"That girl keeps saving your ass." Bucky says and plops himself on the couch beside Steve.
"She's just helping." Steve says and rolled his eyes at his friend.
"You think she'll be this hot in real life?" Sam asks while eating chips.
"It's a game character, it's not based on her." Steve says
"Could you imagine an actual girl with that kind of red hair?" Bucky says, "I would love to have a taste of that."
"Shut up." Steve says and hit Bucky's arm. "Shouldn't you two go home? You're basically eating my fridge empty."
"Here we got entertainment of you getting beaten up by the Guardians of the Galaxy." Bucky says
"If you two would play with me and her, then we would've beaten them." Steve says
"Neh, we rather give you two some alone time." Sam says and opened Steve's fridge again.
"Please get out of my apartment." Steve says
"Fine. We'll go home and start up our PlayStations to help you beat that Star-Lord dude." Bucky says and got up from the couch.
"Thank you." Steve says
Bucky closed Steve's front door and Steve focused back on the screen. After a while Bucky and Sam were in the game jumping around Steve and Black Widow.
"Come on Captain America, jump with us." Bucky says, they were on call with their headphones, well not the Widow. She never joined them with that.
"Buck, please stop." Steve says
"Come on Steve." Bucky says
Steve shot Bucky dead in the game and Steve could hear Bucky curse and groan. Sam was laughing and the Widow just walked away inside their base.
After a while of playing Sam and Bucky left the game. It was getting pretty late and Steve was getting tired. Steve went to the group chat they made and send her a message saying he was going to sleep, the reply he got was unexpected.
"Wanna meet up some time? I know it might be a bit weird, but I would love to get to know Captain America in real life :)"
Steve didn't hesitate to reply, after a year of playing the game with her, he has been dying to meet her in real life.
"Sure we can meet up, I live in New York, maybe we can find a place in between us."
"That's funny, I also live in New York."
"How about we meet at Central Park?"
"Can it be at the zoo? I really want to see penguins."
"Sure, tomorrow at 1pm?"
"Sounds great! See you then!"
"See you then :)"
Steve turned off his PlayStation and went to his bed, he laid down and went to sleep with smile on his face. After a year he finally gets to meet her.
Steve woke up around 11am and groaned, he overslept. He quickly got up and walked to his kitchen to prepare some breakfast. After he ate and cleaned everything up he went to get a shower.
By the time he was dressed and fully awake it was 12:30pm. Steve grabbed his wallet, keys and phone and walked out of the door on his way to the subway.
After a 33 minute travel he reached the zoo, he looked around for a girl standing alone. He finally saw one, a girl with red hair and dressed in a grey vest. The girl was looking around shearching for something, or better, someone.
Steve walked to the girl and tapped on her shoulder, she turned around and that's when blue met green.
"Hi." Steve says
"Umh, are you suppose to meet someone here at 1pm?" The girl asks
"Yes." He says
"Well I don't see anyone else, so my guess is I'm that girl." She says
"Just to be clear, you play a game with two idiots and not an idiot?" He says
"Yes, the Falcon and Winter Soldier aren't the smartest." She says and let out a soft laugh.
"Then you're the person I'm suppose to meet." Steve says, "I'm Steve by the way."
"Natasha." The girl says and reached out her hand, Steve grabbed it and shook is slowly, a bit too long.
'God she's so beautiful.' Steve thought, "It's nice to meet you Natasha."
'Never thought he would be this handsome.' Natasha thought, "You can call me Nat, it's a nickname."
"Okay, Nat, it sounds cute." Steve says and Natasha started to blush, she looked down and then back up to his eyes.
"Do wanna see some penguins?" She asks shyly
"Of course, I love penguins." Steve says
"I already got us tickets, so we can enter." She says and held up two tickets for the zoo.
"You really shouldn't have." He says
"If you want to pay so much, you can buy us lunch later." She says
"Sure." He says, before they moved or did anything they got lost in each others eyes. Steve cleared his throat and Natasha blushed for the second time. "Let's go."
The two spend the day talking and looking at the animals, Natasha loved the penguins and Steve liked the red panda's, they remind him of Natasha.
"I'm hungry." Natasha says
"Well it's already 6pm, I could take you out for dinner." Steve says
"You already paid for lunch, I insist this is on me." Natasha says
"Fine." He says
"I know just the place." She says and got a smirk on her face. "And I can get a discount there."
"Lead the way." Steve says
They walked through Manhattan and ended up at a cafe, they sat down at a table and a waitress came to them.
"Oeh, is Nattie on a date?" The girl says
"Wanda this is my new friend Steve." Natasha says
"You're good looking, got any friends for me to date?" Wanda says, Natasha hit Wanda's arm and gave her a death glare. "So, what do you two lovebirds wanna eat?"
"Wanda, it's not a date." Natasha says
"Anyways... Food?" Wanda says, "Or do you want to start with a drink?"
"A cola would be nice for me." Steve says
"Nat do you want ice tea?" Wanda asks
"Yes." Natasha says
"Okay. I will be right back with those, meanwhile here are our menu cards." Wanda says
"Thanks." Steve says, Wanda walked away and they started to look at what they wanted to eat. "So Wanda is your friend?"
"Yes. Ever since I moved here from Russia she has been my best friend." Natasha says
"You're from Russia?" Steve asks
"Yes, I was born there and at my fourth I left." Natasha says
"Any siblings?" He asks
"I got a sister named Yelena, she's three years younger than me." She says, "So, do you got siblings?"
"No, it's just me and my mom. My dad died when I was seven, but Bucky and Sam are like brothers to me." He says
"They are the Falcon and Winter Soldier right?" She says
"That's them." He says
"By the way, the burgers are really good here." Natasha says
"I think I'll take a burger then." Steve says
Wanda gave them their drinks and took their orders. After not a long time of waiting they got their burgers and Natasha was enjoying hers just like Steve.
"You got some sauce on your cheek." Steve says and grabbed her napkin, he wipped it from the corner of her mouth and put the napkin back down. "So, umh, beside Wanda, you got any other friends?"
"Only Maria, she went to the academy with me." Natasha says
"I'm sorry, but what do you do for a living?" Steve asks
"I am a S.H.I.E.L.D agent, it's better than FBI, cooler stuff." Natasha says and ate her fries.
"Sounds cool." He says
"What do you do for a living?" She asks
"I'm an artist, soon I'll open my own gallery." He says
"Steve, that's amazing!" She says
"It is." He says, "I started at a young age with my work, so now it's all ready to open."
"That's so cool." She says "So do you draw a lot?"
"Yeah, whenever I'm not gaming, I'm drawing." He says
"Do you draw people?" She asks
"Yes." He says
"Could you draw me once?" She asks
"Of course. So does this mean we'll go out another time?" He asks
"Only if you want to." She says
"I would like that." He says
After dinner Natasha insisted to pay, but Wanda had another idea.
"Since Natasha hasn't been on a date in a year..." Wanda says
"Wanda." Natasha snapped
"So this dinner is on me." Wanda says
"That's very kind of you." Steve says
"As long as you show me a picture of your friends and give me the number of the one I think is the most handsome." Wanda says
"Wanda, no." Natasha says
"Fine." Wanda says, "Here are your mints, enjoy the night." She placed two mints on the table and walked away.
Natasha and Steve grabbed a mint and got up, they walked through Manhattan to Natasha's apartment. They walked inside the building and Steve walked her all the way to the door.
"So, you probably wanna go home now." Natasha says while unlocking her front door.
"To be honest, I really liked tonight and I'm sad it's ending." Steve says, "Before I go, I do want to say that I actually want to take you out on a date."
"A date?" She asks
"If you just want to be friends it's fine, I just really like you in short time I've known you." He says
"Then ask me out on a date." She says
"Okay. Natasha Romanoff, do you want to go out on a date with me?" He says
"I would love that Steve Rogers." She says, "Wanna come inside?"
Natasha stepped closer to him, she looked in his eyes, then she stood on her toes to kiss him. Steve grabbed her waist and held her close. Natasha started to walk back into her apartment dragging him along with her while not breaking the kiss.
"Morning." Natasha says
"Morning." Steve says, he wrapped his arms around Natasha's body and pulled her on his chest.
"I'm hungry." She says
"Me too, let me make breakfast." He says
"No. I wanna do it." She says
"I insist." He says
"Don't care." She says and smacked him with a pillow, she jumped off her bed and sprinted into the kitchen.
After a while of making bacon and eggs she felt someone wrap his arm around her waist.
"I love it that you're wearing my t-shirt." He says and kissed her shoulder.
"It's comfy, and this way I can see you bare abs." She says
"Smart." He says
"Breakfast is ready." She says
After a year of being together they are inseparable. They moved in together, because they couldn't keep going from Manhattan to Brooklyn each night, now they live in Manhattan beside Central Park. Steve's gallery was getting really successful and his paintings were selling.
"Wanda you killed me!" Natasha says
"You stood in the way!" Wanda says
"It's just Minecraft, calm down." Maria says without looking up from her phone.
"Hey Nat, I'm back." Steve says
"Hey Steeb." Maria says
"Hi Nattie!" Sam says
"Hey Nat and other girls. Hi, I'm Bucky Barnes." Bucky says
"Bucky, don't flirt with my friends." Natasha says
"Those are your friends? Got any others?" Bucky says, Natasha gave him a death glare and he walked away.
"Morning." Steve says and pecked Natasha's lips, he grew a bit hungry and kissed her deeper.
"Wanda cover for me, Steve is hungry." Natasha says
"Steve I'm hungry." Sam says
"I made breakfast for you all." Natasha says
"Thanks Natooshie!" Bucky says
Steve kissed Natasha's head and she turned back to her game, Steve walked into the kitchen where the girls couldn't hear them.
"Waking up with a girl sitting on your couch in your t-shirt and shorts is the dream." Bucky says and sipped his water.
"Yeah, it's great." Steve says
"So about what you told us during our run, you really gonna propose tonight?" Sam asks
"Yes." Steve says, "Natasha is my dream girl, and she's perfect."
"Give me her friends number, the one who was playing Minecraft with her." Bucky says
"Ask her yourself at the wedding." Steve says
"So why are those girls even here at 10am?" Sam asks
"Natasha had a girls night and it got too late to walk home." Steve says
"What are you boys talking about?" Natasha asks
"Not much." Steve says
"Well, we are going home, so see you later Nat." Maria says
"See ya." Natasha says and let them out of the apartment.
Soon after the girls left, Sam and Bucky left too. Steve found Natasha sitting on their bed looking at her phone.
"I wanna take a shower, wanna join me?" Steve asks
"Say no more." Natasha says and got up from the bed.
At dinner Steve asked her to marry him and she said yes. They didn't go out for a fancy dinner, it was just them in their living room while watching tv and eating pizza, but it was perfect for them.
A couple months later they got married, and Bucky did get Wanda's number then. Now Steve and Natasha live happily together and soon they were adding a member to their little family.
