    Summary

It's almost a year since I first posted on here, in the depths of lockdown, so I thought it was time for something new.

Anyone who's read The Corinthian will know that in Chapter V Heyer messed with her readers by going right up to everyone's favourite romance trope, There is Only One Bed(room), and putting it in our minds as a possibility. Then she metaphorically went, "Ha ha, only joking!" and swerved away from it. But what if she hadn't dodged it? If she didn't want people to think about it, she shouldn't have chosen to mention it. She knew what she was doing.

Changing what happened that night, it turns out, has had a domino effect and altered a lot of what comes after... It's chaos theory in action.
