Chapter Text

Seventeen years. It had been seventeen long years since his imprisonment in Omega Dimension. Seventeen years trapped in an eternal desert of ice. He had by no means any hopes of getting out, and yet, as three strangers approach his personal cell, his believes are proven wrong. In an instant the frozen shell around him bursts into pieces. Despite him being awake and aware of his surroundings for all these years, it takes him quite a moment to notice that he has now been freed. However, that is quickly forgotten as one of the strangers pushes him forward without a warning. “Sorry, it’s you or us.” It’s a feminine voice, unfamiliar to him. His eyes wander towards a crevice, spotting two of the guardians of Omega Dimension – ice snakes, created solely out of the very essence of the planet, in charge of protecting its power, as well as keep its prisoners in check. Immediately they lunge at him with beams of ice. They may not look all that powerful, but he knows better than to underestimate them. They were very well capable of eradicating his entire existence with just one attack. Still, he wastes no time in fighting back against them, sending a beam made entirely out of his own magic toward them. For a second, it looks like a battle between light and darkness. However, this is not a fairy tale. It takes him mere seconds to defeat the guardians and once the spell hits them, they are pulverized. The three witches behind him, who had thought him out as a human shield, are not able to process what had just happened. Their eyes are glued to the tall man in front of them. And with every moment they’re fixated on him, he becomes more attractive. He stretches, his neck cracking in the process. “How long have you been in there?” seemingly the youngest one, a girl with dark hair that looks like she had been struck by lightning and dressed in all red, asks. “Seventeen years,” he answers tersely. “And you’ve been awake the whole time?” the next one, a brunette, in an all-purple attire, questions. He nods courtly. The third, a witch, dressed in the colors of ice and with a gaze just as cold, stares him up and down. “So,” she starts, picking up the golden badge from the floor, “Valtor? Well, your powers are quite impressive.” The man, who had now been found out to be called Valtor, recognizes her voice. She was the one, who had pushed him toward the snake just a few minutes ago. Judging by her attire, she must have also been the one, who had broken open his cell. Looking at all of them, she is the only one, who doesn’t seem to be freezing, which, under their circumstances, would be completely justified. Even though he doesn’t want to and will never, he has to admit that without the spell that he had cast upon himself, when first arriving, he would have not survived the freezing cold all this time. “Follow me,” the strawberry blond commands after a short period of thinking. “Now hold up for a second,” the one he presumes to be an ice witch, throws in. He had already expected them to react negatively to him taking the lead. “Your powers may be great and all, and with you, our chances of getting out of here without you are basically non-existent. But don’t you dare to think that you can go and boss us around.” “Yeah, that would be a huge mistake,” the girl in red chimes in. He chuckles darkly. They aren’t stupid enough to think that they would even stand a chance on their own, yet they seem impressionable enough to shape them into allies, even if temporary ones. “Why of course. How could I have been so foolish? Yet, I would like to mention that I do know a way out of here.”
