Work Text:
Bright came out of the bathroom, drying his hair with a towel, and saw that Win's bed was empty. He was surprised, his boyfriend spent all the way to the hotel sleeping on his shoulder because he was super tired. He had worked late the day before, and had to wake up especially early for his trip to Krabi, in addition to the two of them having spent all day attending events with their fans.
Bright was grateful every day for all the opportunities he and Win had, for all they have achieved and all the support they got from their fans, but whenever he saw the other boy tired like this he wished they both had a normal life, even if just for one day.
“Win?” He called, hanging the towel on a chair.
"Out here" he heard the youngest's low voice coming from the balcony that they had in the room.
Bright opened the glass door and found his boyfriend standing there, looking to the ocean that was part of the view, and holding a cup of coffee in his hand. Seeing the older one, Win smiled and stretched one of his arms towards him, making grabby hands calling him to come closer. Bright complied immediately, taking the other boy's hand, who pulled him up to wrap him in his arms, careful not to spill his coffee, and kissed his cheek.
They hugged each other, enjoying the moment. Bright leaned his back against Win's chest and sighed quietly, until he decided to break the silence. "Why are you still awake? And drinking coffee on top of that, you should go to bed.”
Win finished his coffee and set the cup on the table behind them, turning around again to hug the other boy. “We finally got to travel together, do you really think that the only time we have alone I will lie down and sleep?”
“Well, you should. You…” Win cut his boyfriend off with a kiss, just a light press of his lips against the other boy's, who immediately relaxed.
"Let's go to the beach,” Win said, as he walked away.
"What? But our fans know we're here, we can't just go out like this."
“Bright, it's 4 am. I think we'll be ok.”
Bright was still reluctant, but eventually agreed, which made Win smile and give him a quick hug, before rushing in to change.
"If Eed finds out, she'll kill us." Bright complained, reentering the room.
“A little more optimism, please. I just want to spend quality time with my boyfriend, can't I?” Win turned around, already ready to leave, and finding Bright with a cap, mask, sunglasses and wearing a hood "Very discreet, no one will suspect you at all"
Bright rolled his eyes and took off his sunglasses. "Better now?"
Win just took his hand, the room key, and the two of them left before Bright changed his mind.
They managed to reach the beach without any major problems. There were still some fans on the way out of the hotel, but after so much time dealing with it, even more with a relationship to hide, they got good at going out without anyone finding out.
The beach was completely empty, just the sound of the waves crashing. They walked hand in hand for a few minutes, enjoying the silence that was so rare in their lives, until Win stopped and pulled Bright down to sit on the sand.
"It's cold" Win said, before approaching, practically sitting on the other boy's lap.
“Smooth,” Bright said, laughing. Even after all this time, he still couldn't get used to how direct Win was when he was needy.
Win settled between his legs, pulling his boyfriend's arms around his body and intertwining their fingers. When he was comfortable, he sighed and closed his eyes feeling the wind on his face. Bright kissed the top of Win's head, and rested his chin on it, looking at the sea.
“Bright” Win started softly “Thanks for coming. I needed that."
“You're welcome.” Bright kissed his head again.
Win continued. “I love our lives, I really do, but sometimes I just need a moment with you. Like we're a normal couple, you know. Even if that moment is sitting on the beach in the middle of the night”
Bright smiled, because this was exactly what he had been thinking earlier. They really were soulmates.
“We are a normal couple. But if I could, I would buy a deserted island and it would just be the two of us there, forever, with no one else.” Bright spoke, tightening his arms around Win, who laughed.
“A little creepy, but thanks”
The two laughed some more, until Win turned to face Bright, with a more serious look. "I love you. A lot. Thank you for being in my life"
Bright smiled. "I love you too." He held up his hand, showing his fingers to the other boy. “Is this the moment where you ask me to marry you?”
Win just kept looking into his eyes in silence, which made Bright nervous. After a few seconds that felt like an eternity, he replied, “Not yet. When I ask you, it will be the way you deserve.”
Bright thanked the darkness of the night for hiding his face, which turned completely red. Was Win really thinking about asking him to marry him?
Unfortunately the moment didn't last long, as a stronger wave arrived where they were, wetting their feet and making Bright give a little squeal he wasn't proud of.
Win jumped up. "Come on! Let's go to the water!”
“Wait, what?” Win turned around, took off his shirt, and ran for the water. Bright yelled, “Metawin, get back here! I won't get wet this late!"
After realizing that his boyfriend ignored him and was already jumping into the water, Bright sighed, took off his sweatshirt and ran to him, being greeted with a jet of water in his face. Win started to laugh, but Bright pretended to be annoyed, which made Win come closer to apologize. But the youngest was taken by surprise when his boyfriend took the opportunity to throw himself on him, knocking him into the sea. The two were playing in the water until they realized the sun was coming up, and they had better get back to the hotel before anyone find out about their nightly adventure.
Before they returned, Bright stopped in front of Win and placed a hand on the back of his neck, pulling him in for a kiss. As soon as he recovered from the shock that was Bright initiating a public display of affection like this, Win grabbed his waist, kissing him back immediately. Bright stopped the kis and moved his face away quickly, before it got ever harder to do. Unfortunately they had to go back.
Bright took Win's hand "Shall we?"
The youngest sighed and gave the other boy one last peck, before starting to walk towards the hotel, back to their normal lives. They couldn't wait until their next trip together.
