Summary
Jiang Cheng is a 3000-old fairy who works at the marriage pavilion, a place where fated pairs are made.

Summary
Lan Xichen’s forehead ribbon flew as he loosely held it, and was accidentally caught by Jiang Cheng when Jiang Cheng came to the Cloud Recesses for a meeting. Lan Xichen found out it was Jiang Cheng who took his forehead ribbon, but Jiang Cheng didn’t know Lan Xichen knew the fact. As they gradually meet each other due to their work, the two are plagued by the forehead ribbon’s matter.
I have to set everything straight and do everything right. Sect leader Jiang got my forehead ribbon and I will marry him. However, how will I tell him when he already said ‘no’ before I could start? Lan Xichen thought.
I wonder who owns this forehead ribbon. But, whoever it would be, I still will not marry them. I want to choose the person that I will marry will be the person that I love. Jiang Cheng thought.

Any other elder would've trembled in front of Wei Wuxian, but Lan Qiren, the bastard man he was, confronts Wei Wuxian during the Conference without hesitation. Wei Wuxian couldn't help but stare downwards, his eyes narrowed. He wasn't sorry, though. "I apologise, Grandmaster Lan."
Lan Qiren folds his arms. "I would like you to reflect on what you have done. Your shamelessnes has proved that you won't take your hands off of women or even men." He said it as if it were even worse. Wei Wuxian already had mentally killed the elder thrice. "You shall be wed, and as shall my nephew."
A few of the Sect Leaders muttered snarkly, their hands covering their mouths as they did so. Wei Wuxian decided against rousing an army of corpses. "I shall." He agrees, pursuing his lips.
Lan Xichen, bless the man, takes his crestfallen expression into account. "Shall we not give them a few weeks, uncle? Perhaps they will find someone they desire." Wei Wuxian noted how he said someone and not some girl.
Lan Qiren flashes him a look, and it succeeds in shutting his older nephew's mouth. "A week. You shall be wed in a week."
