Alternate AU. Jinx and ekko has reconciled as friends. Ekko contract the hanahaki disease and hides it from everyone. However, Zeri accidentally finds outs. As ekko’s condition deteriorate, everyone finds out and jinx is devastated why she wasn’t told. She tries to help by making love with ekko. However, she does not reciprocate his feelings. It only pauses the disease. It comes back in full force and ekko has to go to surgery to save his life. Howver, the side effects are forgetting jinx and his love for her. Jinx feels guilty and tries to make up by being close to ekko. However, ekko is distant. Jinx keeps trying. Zeri then tricks jinx by saying ekko confesses to her. Jinx panicks and Zeri says it’s a lie. She had another person confess to her and that she only love ekko like a brother now. She give jinx a book of logs and memories by ekko on why he loved jinx. She gives jinx a choice to give it to ekko or keep quiet. Jinx gives it to ekko and prays he is happy. Completed
