Harry grimaced as he glanced out the window, his look revealing yet another day of rain. It was the fourth straight day of rain and he was really starting to miss Nevarah. The vast majority of days there had been bright and sunny, with beautiful weather and skies to match. He hadn’t realized how grey and dreary Earth—specifically Hogwarts—was in comparison until he had returned.
The brunet hugged himself as he lingered next to the window for a minute. It was so strange to be back and he wasn’t sure that he liked being back.
Harry snorted, remembering his urgency at the beginning to return to Hogwarts and the mess that was the magical world in Great Britain. That urgency had faded after the first few weeks, once he’d gotten used to Nevarah and had settled in with his Circle. It had faded a lot faster once others had shown up there, their presence visible proof that he wasn’t the only one taking advantage of the sanctuary that Nevarah had offered.
Nevarah had been ideal, despite all of its drama. A utopia of sorts.
Hogwarts was a slap in the face, dragging him back to reality.
Harry shook his head to get rid of those thoughts. If he thought much more along those lines, it would filter through his bonds and someone would seek him out for it. He sighed and padded back to the bedroom where most of his Bonded—the Bonded that had come with him to Hogwarts, that was—were still sleeping. Naturally, Theo and Quinn had already woken up and were moving about, but the weather was starting to show in the others’ behaviors and they were sleeping in. Thankfully, it was the weekend so most of them could afford a lazy day.
A small smile formed on Harry’s lips as he worked his way into the middle of the bed, wedging himself between Fred and George, fully intending to take advantage of the extra warmth that radiated off of them due to their element.
Fred grunted as Harry shoved cold toes against his calf and his hazel eyes blinked open slowly. He wished he could say he was surprised when he saw who the culprit was, but he really wasn’t. Of course it was Harry. “More rain?” he asked through a yawn. He scanned the bed briefly, taking count of who was still in bed and who wasn’t, humming softly to himself once he finished and could ascertain that he wasn’t needed urgently.
Harry rested his head against Fred’s chest and nodded slowly. Already he could feel sleep returning to him.
“Quinn on breakfast duty already?”
Harry nodded again.
“Good, that gives us another hour or so.” With that, Fred closed his eyes and tossed a warm arm over Harry’s torso, holding him close.
Harry hummed happily and snuggled in closer. He wasn’t fond of the rain, but he could definitely learn to enjoy rainy days when they led to moments like these.
