“Do you think this is it for us?”
Yoongi glances sideways at Taehyung’s form sprawled across his studio couch, “What?”
“I mean, doesn’t it feel like we’ve reached the top?”
“I guess so.”
“So everything can only go downhill from here,” Taehyung sighs, eyes glued to the ceiling. Yoongi pauses what he’s doing but doesn’t move.
“That’s quite a negative thought.”
“I’ve been feeling a lot like a negative thought lately.”
Yoongi removes headphones and spins on his chair to face his band mate, “Is something wrong?”
“Nothing in particular,” Taehyung shrugs, arms folding on his chest. Yoongi sighs and stands, walking toward the younger man.
“Move your hands.”
“What?”
“Move your hands,” Yoongi tells him again forcefully, and Taehyung does. Yoongi sighs again as he beckons Taehyung to sit up. He does. Yoongi sits beside him and wraps his arms around his waist, leaning against him. Taehyung doesn’t even hesitate before scooping Yoongi into his arms in return, “It’s okay to feel bad, Tae.”
“I know. I just don’t like it.”
Yoongi nods, stroking Taehyung’s back soothingly, “I know,” he echoes quietly. They’re silent for a while, basking in one another’s comfort, “Taehyungie, you know that I love you, right?”
Taehyung hesitates now, and a sharp guilt shoots through Yoongi’s heart, “I know you do. You don’t say it very often though.”
“Do you wish I did?“ Taehyung just nods, “I love you, Taehyungie. Even when we aren’t worldwide stars anymore, I’ll love you. This isn’t it for us though, we’ll keep getting better and going further, and you’ll keep acting like you’ve been saying you want to do, and ARMY will keep loving us, and I’ll keep loving you. Okay?”
Taehyung sniffs and Yoongi realizes belatedly that he’s crying and hugs him a little closer, “I love you, Yoongi hyung. I’ll keep loving you always too.”
