That’s how he ends up in a tangled cat’s cradle mess. When other people talk about what happened, they get it backwards – they think that Vicious was fucking Julia, and then Spike was fucking Julia, and so that’s why everything went south between him and Vicious. On the off chance that he meets someone who remembers his past, that’s what he lets them think, though most people don’t raise it with him.
