Work Text:

It was a frigid evening and Morgan in his faded green jacket was walking down a quiet residential street in Central City. Morgan has a lot on their mind was trying to let off some steam. Hours before hand they were doing some side kick training. While they’ve never really been happy about the fact that their parents chalked them up to have no more potential than a hero’s side kick, Morgan was trying very hard to lemonade out of lemons. But then Chad had to show up and then, to make things worse, he started to talk.

Ah, look at my side kick working hard. Just remember, we have the duties train to become proper heroes. So, slacking off is not an option! You have to be good at your job so I have the opportunity to save the civilians from the clutches of the monstrous villains.

That was when they had had enough of Chad’s shit and lost just absolutely their cool. Morgan was yelling and shouting obscenities at Chad while their sister was trying to calm Morgan down. She had ran into the training room after hearing the yelling.

You know what. Fuck this!

Morgan shouted as they stormed out the door; only pausing long enough to grab their jacket before just walking out of the building. And now they had no idea where they were, felt very cold, and was still too angry to call for someone to take them home.  Morgan was nearing the end of the road and was getting ready to turn back when they noticed that were was a set of train tracks a few yards past the end of the road.

So rationally, Morgan decided to walk through the mud and grass so that they follow their need to walk by the tracks. Morgan stayed along this path for a while. Slowly, the many houses that surrounded them started to thin and turn into warehouses. By this time, it was very dark outside and Morgan was having a hard time making out objects and landmarks. However, there was one building that caught their eye. From the dim light of a streetlight, it looked to be a brick warehouse, many of the windows looked to be shattered, and there was a sign posted at the edge of the property. The sign read NO TRESPASSING in large bold letters.

No Trespassing

Morgan laughed. The sign was just a basic warning, but to Morgan it felt targeted. Just like their family, this sign thought that they were good enough and who they were was not welcomed.

Hmmm no trespassing… yeah my ass… what are they going to do to me.

And with that Morgan walked past the sign. Circling the building, they found a window that they could reasonably fit through, and climbed in.

Notes:

It is 1 AM and this is my first time solo writing a fanfic so I apologize if this isn't good and for any grammar and spelling mistakes.
This story idea is really just a thought that I had about Morgan before they became a villain.
