“So this is what your room looks like, Kohakucchi!”
It was a casual, lazy day of one of ES’s more..normal days, and Aira had decided to visit his friend’s dorm room, to Kohaku’s excitement.
Although this wasn’t exactly his own home, this was the closest he got to having a friend over to his house for the first time.
And that first friend being Aira, made it feel all the more special.
As Aira excitedly bounced on his toes, looking around the room that Jun and Kohaku lived in, Kohaku couldn’t suppress a fond smile at his companion’s excitement. “Ya seem mighty pumped, Rabu-han.. although it seems just like a regular dorm room to me..”
“Of course I’m pumped! You share a room with Eden’s Sazanami Jun-kun, right? Wah, how ra~vely! I can see his weights around the room!”
“…” At this, Kohaku looked away with a slightly flushed expression. “Even I.. have a “rave~ly” presence too, right..?” He said sullenly.
“Kohakucchi!!” At Kohaku’s rare embarrassed expression, Aira threw his arms around him with overexaggerated tears of happiness. “Yep yep, that’s right! You’re ra~vely too, Kohakucchi! That expression just now was so ra~vely! 100 love points!”
“Wait.. That’s not..” Kohaku protested, his face reddening into an even deeper hue as he continued to get stroked on the head by Aira.
“Forget I said that.. It wasn’t like me, gettin’ jealous of someone else..” He mumbled in shame.
“That’s exactly why it’s an existence to be protected… gap moe..”
“Oh, Rabu-han..” Kohaku sighed off his embarrassment with a smile. “But ya know..”
“Hmm? What is it?” Aira looked up at him, loosening his grip.
“The old me would’ve never imagined this. Meeting with ya in real-life, talking to each other with our real voices, seeing each other’s faces, visitin’ each other’s places..” Kohaku smiled affectionately at Aira. “It makes me real happy..”
“..yeah. Me too, Kohakucchi.” Aira leaned against his shoulder, his previous excitement melting into something of a quieter tenderness. “Honestly, what an incredible coincidence.. no, maybe it’s even more than that. I guess fate really does exist, huh? Ahaha. Or something like that~”
Ah, how can someone be so lovable? I Kohaku’s heart swelled as Aira laughed in embarrassment at the corny line. As if he were completely entranced, and he turned to face his friend, reaching for him without realizing what he was doing.
“Kohaku…cchi?”
“Rabu-han.. can I kiss you?”
“E-Eh?! K-K-Kiss? Kohakucchi?!” Aira’s face flared in a blossoming pink. After a few moments of hesitation, he covered his face in embarrassment, still blushing furiously. “Jeez, did you make the mood like this on purpose to do this.. you’re so unfair sometimes..”
“…”
“Alright, just once, okay..? Since there’s nobody here..”
“Really?” Kohaku’s face lit up.
“Gah, my eyes! There’s no way I can say no to a face like that!” Aira said, covering his face even further.
Kohaku fell silent, grabbing Aira’s hands and prying them gently from his face.
“Rabu-han…”
Kohaku could feel his heart rate rising, thumping in his chest as his face slowly slid close to Aira’s, whose eyes, framed with dainty lashes, were closed, body braced in embarrassment which made him seem even cuter. Slowly, his lips began to touch Aira’s ever so softly...
We’re so close..
At that exact moment, there was another noise just as loud as Kohaku’s heartbeat, from behind the two.
Aira jumped with a yelp.
“Koha-kuun! It’s me! I’ve brought you some Sweets!”
The door burst open as a very cheerful-looking Tsukasa entered, arm clutching a pastry bag. “Koha-kun? Are you here—“
Slowly, the red-haired boy’s eyes trailed down and caught sight of Kohaku, who was indeed here in the room, bent over a very flustered Aira with their lips almost touching.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!” Tsukasa yelled in shock, looking as if he had just seen a ghost.
“あああああああああああああああああ!!!” Aira yelled in shock, looking as pale as a ghost.
In between them was a silently fuming Kohaku, who had just lost the chance for a perfect kiss with Rabu-han.
Aira and Tsukasa stopped screaming, instantly knowing that whatever came next would be much scarier than a ghost…
