Summary:

“My marks.” Megumi murmured, his hands following the inky black lines covering Sukuna’s skin almost reverently. Sukuna didn't know if it was the bond, or maybe just Megumi himself, but something was drawing him in. A force of gravity, like a moth to a flame, and Sukuna had no desire to escape it.

Work Text:

“Itadori Sukuna.” He heard an ancient voice call out from where he and Megumi sad huddled in the dark room. They had been confined there immediately after entering the school after the principal took one look at Sukuna, Megumi hanging off him. “We have come to tell you your fate.”

“That’s fucking dramatic.” Sukuna called back and felt Megumi snicker. He heard gasps and murmurs from outside.

“To one who holds your future in his hands, you don’t seem to show any respect.” The voice said. “Be careful boy, nothing is set in stone.”

“Can someone just tell me what the fuck is going on?” Sukuna said, exasperated, and he heard a sigh from outside the room.

“We have come to a decision. We will allow Itadori Sukuna to remain alive, only with a blood pact from the curse Zenin Megumi.” He heard Megumi hiss, though unsure why exactly. “Zenin Megumi shall agree to harm no human, jujitsu sorcerers included, and will no longer have access to his shadow domain. You both will collect the remaining fingers of Zenin Megumi and when you have collected all ten, Itadori Sukuna and Zenin Megumi shall be executed.”

Megumi grabbed Sukuna’s hand.

“Do you trust me?” He said quietly.

“Yes.” Sukuna said back, not knowing where the feeling in his chest came from, but knowing he needed to trust Megumi.

“I agree to the pact.” Megumi said, squeezing Sukuna’s hand.

“And you, Itadori Sukuna?” Sukuna sighed deeply, feeling Megumi's hand ground him.

“I agree to the pact.” He said, and felt something cold wash over him, leaving tingles in his wake.

Looking in the mirror after being freed from the dark room was jarring. Sukuna was covered head to toe in dark tattoos, inky black marks across his nose and cheeks, arms and chest and who knows where else. He heard Megumi’s voice in his ear.

“My marks.” He murmured. Megumi had hidden himself back in Sukuna’s shadow when they left the room, and when Sukuna teased him for being shy, the hiss Megumi made in return shouldn’t have been as enjoyable as it was. Sukuna didn't know if it was the bond, or maybe just Megumi himself, but something was drawing Sukuna in like a force of gravity, and he was not one to resist.

Gojo had been the one to lead them out of the area with the cursed room, and when they finally went outside Sukuna took a deep breath of fresh air. He felt something tickle the side of his face, and looking down it was Megumi, eyes closed, wind blowing through his hair. Even without his vibrant eyes, Megumi was beautiful. He was soft in all the right ways, lips, long eyelashes and pale skin, but hard in the expression he held, a constant wariness, even in this moment.

Gojo coughed, Megumi snapping his eyes open to look right into Sukuna’s own, before being devoured by tendrils of black, still wrapped around Sukuna before sliding back down into his shadow. Sukuna watched him go forlornly.

“Where are we going?” Sukuna grunted. Gojo looked back and smiled disturbingly wide. His constant happy facade was beginning to torment Sukuna.

“Not telling!” Gojo picked up the pace, his long legs giving him an advantage, and though tall Sukuna still had to put in some effort to catch up. There were only trees and a concrete path until suddenly there wasn’t. They were in front of a building, stairs leading up to the front, and next to it was what looked exactly like a traditional school building.

“Here we are!” Gojo said, and turned to Sukuna. “Here is where you'll now be attending Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High.”

“What?” Sukuna asked, dumbfounded. “I refuse to join your shitty school.”

“Tsk tsk,” Gojo sighed obnoxiously. “Unfortunately it’s part of your pact and all. You can’t go around looking for the fingers by yourself now can you?”

“I’m not alone.” Sukuna said, and the shadows underneath him waved back and forth. Gojo rolled his eyes.

“You mean the 1,000 year curse that can’t access his own domain, along with you, an
untrained Jujutsu sorcerer who doesn’t know how to exorcise curses and doesn’t know anything about cursed energy.” Gojo said, his voice sounding almost serious before he let out a chuckle and tried to grab Sukuna, who dodged, disgust on his face. “Let me train you Sukuna,” Gojo whined. He was interrupted by a shout of “Sukuna!” And next thing Sukuna was tackled by a familiar weight.

“Yuuji.” Sukuna grunted, sitting up from the concrete and shoving Yuuji off of him, trying not to get roped back into a hug.

“Sukuna,” Yuuji sniffled, “is it true they’re going to execute you?” Tears welled up in his eyes.

“Not anytime soon Brat,” Sukuna said, standing up and dusting himself off before pulling Yuuji up next to him. “Don’t even worry about it. What are you still doing here, shouldn’t you be home or in the hospital?” Gojo clapped loudly, beaming at them both.

“I forgot to tell you Sukuna, you and your brother both get to enroll as our cute new first years! Isn’t that so exciting?” Sukuna looked over at Yuuji, who was still tearing up, but trying not to cry. Sukuna sighed.

“Well at least we will be together huh.”

“Sukunaaaa,” Yuuji sobbed and tackled Sukuna right back onto the ground.

Once he had calmed down they sat side by side on one of the benches, Gojo running off to “take care of some things” before promising to be back soon.

“This is crazy.” Yuuji said, looking down at his hands. Sukuna could see his nails were red and raw, Yuuji having a habit of biting his nails when he was anxious.

“You're telling me.” Sukuna said.

“I like the tattoos though,” Yuuji laughed, “now you really look like a delinquent.”

“Shush brat,” Sukuna smacked his arm, “now I'm obviously the evil twin.” Yuuji didn’t laugh, something unspoken in his eyes that Sukuna did not feel like unpacking.

“So, uh,” Yuuji trailed off before perking up, “what happened to the boy?” Sukuna tilted his head to the side in confusion. “You know! The one that saved us from the monsters, where is he? Where did they put him?” Sukuna sighed, almost forgetting how it felt to not be one with Megumi, feeling his power thrumming under his skin, his presence filling his body, his shadows constantly licking at his heels. Sometimes feeling his presence wrapping around his arms and shoulders even though he could see nothing there. Sukuna felt them move, creeping up, until once again there was a weight against him, this time pressed up against his side as Megumi appeared. Yuuji jumped, mouth opening comically large.

“This is Megumi.” Sukuna said. “Megumi, this is my twin brother Yuuji.”

“Yuuji.” Megumi repeated.

“Wow!” Yuuji exclaimed, Sukuna not missing the way Megumi’s eyes narrowed and his grip on Sukuna’s arm tightened. “I can’t believe it!” Yuuji leaned in closer as he talked, Megumi’s body taunt, either to run or attack and either were unacceptable. “Are you made of shadows?” He asked. “Or can you be touched?” Yuuji reached out a hand, and Sukuna felt Megumi’s energy become more and more frenzied. Sukuna shoved Yuuji back into his seat.

“Oy.” He said. “Hands to yourself. Give him some space”

“I’m so sorry!” Yuuji looked at them with big puppy eyes. “I’m just happy to meet you Megumi. You saved our lives on the roof, and I’ve never seen anything like you and Gojo before, having abilities like that. It’s just so cool.”

“Thank you.” Megumi’s eyes had cooled down, and his face softened slightly, so Sukuna could relax, no longer feeling the strum of anxiety and adrenaline under his skin. He didn’t know when Megumi’s hand had ended up in his own, but he squeezed softly, getting a small smile in return. Sukuna prayed that Megumi couldn’t feel the rush that ran through him at that little motion.

A problem arose, however, a few hours later as Gojo showed them to their rooms. Sukuna’s room was right next to Yuuji’s which was no issue, but Megumi had a room of his own next to Sukuna. And Megumi had decided that was unacceptable.

“I don’t need it.” Megumi said for the fourth time as Gojo tried to reason with him. He was wrapped around Sukuna per usual, hanging off his arm, his chin resting on his shoulder.

“Look Megumi, you can’t stay attached to Sukuna the entire time-”

“Yes I can.” Megmi said. “He is mine.” Gojo waved his hand dismissively.

“Yes, you’ve said. That doesn’t mean you can't have your own room from when you have a physical body. Each room is only big enough for one person. It has a bathroom and bed meant for one person. You can’t share a bed with Sukuna.”
“Why not.” Megumi almost looked as though he was pouting, but Sukuna could see the dangerous glint in his eyes.

“What if we just shared a room?” Sukuna interrupted and Gojo stared at him.

“I explained it. There is only one bed per room.”

“Then just put in another.” Sukuna stared him down. Gojo stared back at him, and then looked at Megumi, who was starting to look downright murderous.

“You’re both being very difficult.” Gojo sighed. “I’m surprised you don’t want some privacy from Megumi every once in a while. But I suppose it can be done.”

“Good.” Megumi said, sinking back into the shadows.

True to his word, after they ate dinner in a small building that reminded Sukuna of the cafeteria back at the highschool, the room next to Yuuji’s had two single beds on each wall.
When he was finally alone, after Gojo left and Yuuji finally stopped hugging him and crying, Sukuna immediately headed towards the bathroom. The shower felt heavenly, after being stuck in that tiny dark room for who knows how long, and after wiping the steam off the mirror Sukuna had time to really look at the tattoos that littered his body.

They were inky black, sharp lines adorning his forehead, a slash over his nose and two lines under each eye, more tattoos following the shape of his lawline to his chin.

“Do you know what they mean?” He jumped when he felt a cold hand caress his face, and Megumi was there, his chin on his shoulder, also staring at Sukuna’s reflection.

“You can’t just scare a guy when he’s alone and naked.” Sukuna turned quickly and heard an echo of laughter as Megumi disappeared. As Sukuna pulled on sweatpants he examined the bands around each wrist, also appearing on his upper arms, and his own nails, now black and much more pointy than they had been previously. He had more tattoos on his chest and shoulders but he ignored them for now, walking back into the main part of his room, sitting on one of the beds.

“Megumi,” He called and for a second nothing happened until suddenly there was a weight in his lap and bright green eyes staring up at him.

“Yes?” Megumi said, his hands both resting on Sukuna’s chest. From Sukuna’s angle Megumi's eyes were almost cat-like, looking up through long dark eyelashes. He was beautiful, and Sukuna tried to ignore the rush he felt from his face being so close, and his body literally in his lap.

“You said you’d tell me what they meant?” Sukuna asked and Megumi smiled.

“I asked if you wanted to know what they meant, not that I would tell you.” Sukuna rolled his eyes and stared down at Megumi, red meeting green.

“So what can you tell me, then?”

“This bed is uncomfortable,” Megumi deflected and yawned. He grinned at Sukuna’s scowl, “but maybe I can tell you more about the pact we made, if you desire me to.”

“What is a blood pact?” Sukuna asked. “We didn’t exchange or mix our blood at all.”

“It’s figurative. It means it cannot be broken, or both people involved in the pact will perish.” Megmi said and Sukuna’s eyes widened.

“So if you kill someone, or go against the pact, I die?” He asked and Megumi nodded.

“Don’t worry,” he said, reaching out and stroking Sukuna’s face, “I’ll control myself. I’d rather you not die.”

“So what is your shadow domain?” Sukuna asked. “You can still come and go into the shadows as you see fit.” Megumi sighed.

“Only yours. I can no longer access my main source of cursed energy.”

“Shadows?” Sukuna asked.

“In a way.” Megumi smiled secretly. “What do you know about shadows?” He asked Sukuna.

“The absence of light?” Sukuna asked and Megumi shook his head.

“That would be darkness. Shadows cannot exist without light.”

“Then what are your shadows and how do you get energy from them?” Sukuna asked.

“Do you know what a domain is, sorcerer?” Megumi asked and Sukuna scowled.

“I wasn’t a sorcerer until I got dragged into this mess.” He said.

“Ah, but you already had cursed energy inside you. I wouldn’t have been able to become one with you if not. Don’t worry,” Megumi’s eyes glinted in the low light of the bedroom, “I will shape you into the most powerful sorcerer. I will show you your domain, your cursed energy, your potential. You will impress me, Itadori Sukuna.” Megumi smiled, his canine teeth sharp and bright against his pale lips. “I know you will. Now go to bed little sorcerer.” Megumi said, pushing Sukuna down on the bed. Sukuna sighed, his mind still racing.

“Let me atleast turn off the light and turn on an alarm.” Megumi looked confused. Sukuna remembered he had been sealed for quite some time. “Its a noise that will make sure I wake up when I need to.”

“You dont require that.” Megumi said. “I will awaken you.”

Sukuna sighed, getting up and turning out the lights. He slipped into bed and wasn’t surprised when he felt a body wrap around him, mostly splayed on top of his own body.

“Do you even sleep?” He asked and Megumi chuckled, his voice quiet and right next to Sukuna’s ear. His hair tickled Sukuna’s jaw and he felt a cold nose pressed to his neck.

“Don’t worry about me, little sorcerer.” Megumi said. “I am more than content.” Sukuna hesitantly wrapped his arms around Megumi, Megumi letting out a little sigh. The connection between them thrummed, the feeling of warmth flooding Sukuna’s senses. Sukuna’s eyes closed, his body completely boneless, barely hearing a faint whisper before sleep overtook him.

Notes:

Everything is nice and soft! For now anyways. I have tons of things planned for those two, and Megumi is not as soft as he seems.
Sukuna is totally whipped though!
