The search of her older brother was never easy and Lumine knows this all too well. From her journey from Mondstat to Liyue and everything that happen in between. All the friends she made along the way and their smiles lingers in her mind if she ever felt lonely...Which it helped a bit ,but she always made sure not to open up too too much about herself...Last thing she needed is to get way too attached to someone. Other than Paimon of course....Paimon is her best friend and knows everything about her...Well almost everything.
This would soon change once she set her eyes on going to Inazuma. She wonders what the culture is like over there and the type of people that lived within it's barriers. How's the quality of life over there? Is it as busy as Liyue? Or more layback as Mondstat? She had so many questions, but unfortunately not enough answers. Thankfully that will soon change once she enters the region. She prepared herself for the long journey waiting ahead of her. From packing foods to books on how to speak/understand the language from there.
She isn't completely alone in her travels. Hu Tao is one of her travel companion and Lumine was surprised she wanted to go with her. In her words "Zhongli convinced me to go with you! I don't mind! I love hanging around you!" Well...Who is one to deny Rex Lapis? Even if Hu Tao doesn't know that...Beside it makes her journey a little less lonely and way more interesting considering the type of person Hu Tao is.
Lumine sighed as she shook off her thoughts and her yellow eyes watched towards the open sea they were currently in. It's been a couple of days out in the sea and Beidou agreed to take them in. The sea salt filled the air as the water gently hits against the boat. At the moment, Paimon is talking to Hu Tao and Lumine doesn't really mind. The ocean is a rare beauty she doesn't get to see often and she wanted to make must of it as she can. As peaceful it can be ,it can be equally as deadly as well. She knows that all too well..
It didn't take long for her thoughts to come back to her brother. What was he up to? Why did he join the Abyss Order? Was he the same brother she knew her entire life? Only the archons know...She shook her head once more, he probably had his own reasons to join just like Lumine has her own reasons to find out the truth. If he has fallen into the hands of the darkness, she will be the light to bring him to his senses. Afterall that's what her name means...To Illuminate...So her mother told her...
Ah...How long has it been since she seen or heard her. Any memories she has of her are vague at best. She and Aether has been traveling so long to other worlds to the point all memories blend together. What would her mom say if she was still here today? Would she be proud of her? Or disappointed for letting Aether get caught up in something much more serious...A sigh escaped her lips before she realized what she did. Perhaps she would never know...
Suddenly a hand was placed onto her shoulder, causing Lumine to jump up in surprised. "What's wrong kiddo?" A familiar voice spoke to her and Lumine immediately recognized it to be Beidou. She turned around to see her slight worried expression. How long was she there?? As much as the girl wanted to debate, it was probably best to answer her. As much as Lumine respects Beidou, she is equally as scared of her.
She mustered up a smile and responded to her "I-I'm fine! I was just thinking about stuff.." her voice wondered off a bit as Beidou nodded. She probably figured that Lumine is worried about her brother and that's sole reason why she wanted to go to Inazuma so badly. Despite all the risk and warning she was given from other. She is both a brave and foolish girl...Beidou gives her that. She looked at her for a few moments before replying to her again "In a couple of days ,we should be in Inazuma. I hope you're ready cause it's not gonna be an easy one"
Lumine's eyes lightened up a bit once she heard the news. Finally! A step closer to her goals! She smiled a bit as Beidou ruffled her blonde hair for a moment. "Glad to hear it! Remember, if you're feeling troubled or need help, you know where to find me" Beidou spoke to her and Lumine nodded at her. She was filled with so much excitement to explore the new region ahead of her! Hopefully she wouldn't need Beidou's assistance, but she kept it to heart in case she ever does need it...She owns her so much and she isn't going to disappoint her nor to the people who trusted her.
Once Beidou seemed satisfied, she left Lumine and returned to whatever she was doing at the moment. Lumine watched until Beidou disappeared from her sight and turned to face the sea once more. She felt a bit lighter now than she did before. After a few more minutes, she decided it might be best if she finds Paimon and Hu Tao so they can discuss their next plan of action. To also make sure those two don't get to anyone more shenanigans.
She looked out to the sea once more before looking for their friends. Little did any of them know, there was a stowaway on board. They watched the whole interaction before muttering to themselves "Time to report to the prince " After that, they disappeared.
