    “Quiet, Sirius.”

    They’re words Remus has hissed before, in similar cupboards under Hogwarts’s roof. They’d just pulled some ridiculous prank when Remus first realised Sirius’s name was meant to be whispered.  

    Remus is fairly sure Sirius could fight him off, just not silently. Sirius’s glare is a challenge, injecting tension into the sliver of space between them, but he remains still. Despite his blasé attitude, Sirius doesn’t want to get caught.
