Chapter Text
Today was a terrible day, cold and stormy, the perfect day to hide in your room and get lost in your mind without knowing what is true and what is a lie. That was Chester right now, Chester was hugging his knees while sitting on the floor and his body was shivering from the cold. He couldn't bring himself to get up or to go to sleep, his heart was racing and his breath irregular thanks to another nightmare. The most recent adventures and creatures had affect him badly, after all having a parasite in your body and getting chocked by a puppet are not the most healthy situations for your mind. He felt like everything was slowly falling apart around him and that terrified him, he didn't want to die...
Following other's around or simply obey was what Chester was used too, he had his opinions of course but he would always fall into the pressure of disappointing others. Saying no was something that he was not used to do, Parker started helping him with getting away from this situations but now not being able to reject his best friend it's what is deteriorating his mental state. He wanted to finish everything but he also didn't want to abandon his roommate, the mixed emotions were playing with is heart and making it harder. This would probably sound very stupid but Chester know that Parker needs him, the taller would probably be already dead if he wasn't around or worse.
A deep breath comes out of Chester's lungs and he slowly gets up feeling his legs almost giving in, he grabs some clothes and decides to take a shower. Now inside of the shower and warms water running through his body he could feel a hot sensation on some bruises and even old scars, how many times did he already got hurt by this creatures? He couldn't anymore, he couldn't handle it anymore, all the pain and nightmares were to much... Mixed with the water of the shower now were his tears, wasn't the first time this happens but he would hope everytime that would be the last.
The day wasn't going to get better, it feels that even the sun gave up and Chester thought that it was slightly ironic, even the sun gave up so why can't he do the same? He has been staring at a bowl of cereal for the past thirty minutes even his appetite was non existent lately, he tried to force himself to eat but sometimes it felt like he would puke everything out. Suddenly something touches his shoulder making him freeze for a second but slightly relax when he heard Parker's voice. "Dude are you okay? You have been staring at that bowl for a long time, i was going to talk to you about a new email but it didn't look like you were going to finish anytime soon." Parker says with his normal calming and soothing voice, this was the perfect time to tell the taller that he needed atleast a break but what if he got thrown away like almost every girl or person that they got on the dark web? He would never be able to recover from that in his life.
Chester swallow dry, his hands were starting to tremble a little and his heart beating faster and faster. He had to do it now no matter what, this was about his safety and not going insane. "Parker... I have been thinking a lot lately... I... I think... I think i need a break... I'm overwhelmed with what happened recently and I don't feel too well..." Chester eyes were shut tight and his voice sounded weak and a little agitated, he was scared of looking his roommate in the eyes or even look at his expression. He was almost sure that he was going to get thrown away...
