"You wanna sleep in here tonight, baby? Do you want Papa to keep you safe?" Technoblade offered, pulling away from Tommy to look at him properly. His fingers traced Tommy's jawline and came to rest right under his chin, and he gently tilted Tommy's head up to face Techno.
The poor kid looked like he'd been through hell and back. Technoblade felt his heart ache for the poor kid, but what was even worse was the way Techno's heart ached for Phil.
Phil, his beloved husband, the one he'd fought alongside war after war. They'd conquered countries together, defeated armies with nothing but each other, and yet... Phil didn't have the strength to stay around for his littlest one.
Technoblade had to clench his jaw and blink back tears at the memory. Tommy looked so much like his father that sometimes Techno worried about what he'd do to the poor kid if he lost his mind. Honestly, with everything that had happened with Phil, maybe he already had.
