Chapter Text
Moving in was a really difficult and thought-out process. How were you supposed to know what to bring to your first year of college. It's not like you've been to college before. You were on the third floor of your dorm and your window overlooked the entirety of your campus and it had a great view of the sunset.
Your roommate, Annie was awfully quiet the whole first week of living together and you couldn't bare to try and talk to her, because truth be told, you were gravely intimidated by her. She would usually sit on her bed, legs crossed, looking in her textbook for some insight on the courses she would be taking. Her blonde hair was pulled back using a claw clip which happened to be the color green. She had long slender fingers that grazed the paper for materials to gather into her short term memory for encoding. Her eyes were like all the oceans of the world collided in one place. Her nose sloped downwards which made her look like royalty, absolutely stunning. She had on a zip up hoodie that peaked only a little bit of her shirt underneath. Her black sweatpants were way too big for her, but she made them look amazing either way.
Then she started calling your name. You were too busy studying her since you never really got to know her any other way.
"Do you need something?" she said, her airpod in her hand which indicated she had paused her music to talk to you. It was a start to conversation since you two had not one. You shook your head at her instantly and rubbed your knees that were criss crossed.
"No sorry, I was just daydreaming," you laughed it off. She seemed to buy it since she nodded and placed her airpod back into her left ear. She went back to studying whatever it was on the pages that just was so much more intriguing than talking to you. It was getting late and you still hadn't eaten dinner. You held your stomach as it vibrated, telling you that it needed food ASAP. You pushed yourself off the dorm bed that was still very high for your liking and slipped on some croc filled with all your favorite jibbitz. You walked down the stairs and waved hi to your RA who was sitting in the common room of your dorm building. You walked outside to see the setting sun, the colors of red, yellow, and pink filling the sky and all the college students walking on all the branching paths of the campus.
You took the northeast path that took you straight to the dining hall closest to you. The thing about college that was so much better than high school was that no one cared if you ate alone, especially now. You haven't really had the chance to try and make friends since you were too busy with other work.
You grabbed a lunch tray and grabbed whatever you wanted. You sat at a decently empty table and began eating. You examined the place, all the students were the same as you, eager to meet new people, yet sitting alone. That was until you heard a loud thud next to you. A lunch tray placed on the table and two hands pushing it down. You looked at the person whose hands these were and sat in shock of it all.
He was tall, well, taller than you, and had a smirk on his face. He was about 5'10" (177.8 cm), but he presented himself in a way that he looked taller. He had very short hair, almost like a buzzcut, with silver aspects to it. You wanted to know if it was natural or colored since it suited him so well. He had one earring on his right ear that seemed to be a cross. He had a tattoo that resembled a snake on his bicep and twitched as he flexed his tricep muscles. You still were very confused as to why he just slammed his tray on the table though.
"Can I sit here?" He soothed, his smile showing his canines that resembles vampire teeth. You looked around at the other tables, you noticed several tables open, so why this one? You didn't want to come off rude so you agreed.
"Sure." You smiled at him, sighed with your words. He sat down and scooted his seat in. Smiling at you. You glanced at the food on his plate, macaroni and cheese and chicken nuggets. You took a sip of water that was next to you.
"Uh, I think you accidentally took a sip of my water." He laughed, holding out his hand to grab the water from you.
"I'm so sorry," you rushed to hand back his water.
"It's okay. It's only water," he chuckled at you, staring into your eyes. "What's your name, love?"
LOVE?
You were taken back by that nickname that you hesitated for a second.
"Y/N." You took a bite of your food. He nodded, taking it in, processing it. "What about you?"
"Connie," he stated, taking his spoon and scooping his Mac and Cheese. The two of you sat in silence beside the other chatter in the dining hall.
"So, uh... What're you majoring in?" Connie questioned, moving his seat so he could be facing you. You looked at him, copying his movement and sitting towards him as well.
"I don't know, yet. I'm undecided. I really like computer science though." You drank your water and set it down on the table. "What about you, Connie. What are you majoring in?"
He laughed a bit, leaning back on his chair, letting his hips buck a bit.
"Psychology," he said, letting his head drop a bit.
"Is that a bad thing?" you asked, genuinely.
"I just feel like I'll be the only guy there."
God he was stupid, but like in a cute way.
"I promise you, you won't be the only guy there," you teased him, laughing. He blushed a bit but played it off by leaning his head back, laughing along with you.
"I just hope one of those people would be you," he smirked to himself.
'Is he flirting with me? Why so sudden?'
You weren't really up to date with the whole hookup culture thing, but you definitely weren't a virgin. You had a significant other in high school senior year and it didn't end well.
"Oh really?" you flirted with him. His attention peaked, his eyes widened as he picked up on the confidence that radiated off of you. He nodded and looked at you, his lips open as if he was preparing to ask a question.
"Do you have anything after this?" Connie asked.

Connie led you upstairs to his dorm, sneaking past his RA and into his double dorm room. He shut the door behind you, the two of you giggling to each other.
"Wait what about your roommate?" you asked him, who held you very close to him.
"Oh Eren? No he won't be home for another hour since he's at his nerd meeting with some kid named Armin." he said gently pushing your back to the door.
He kissed your lips, he tasted your scented lip gloss that you previously reapplied. He pulled away for a second. He started chuckling to himself as he licked his lips.
"Is that strawberry?" He said, holding the triceps of your arms.
"Shut up, just come here," you said, you pushed your fingers through his buzz cut, feeling his spiky yet soft hair. The kiss lasted a long time, consisting of lip smacking and tongue flicking. Connie's tongue entering your mouth, and your tongue in his. Groaning and noises cascaded off of both your mouths as Connie started creeping his hand down your body, stopping right before the crucial areas, asking for permission.
You nodded, letting his hands grab your right breast. He played with it sensually, earning groans from your mouth. Connie stepped back, without breaking the kiss. You followed in pursuit, walking all the way over to where his bed sat. He hoisted you up on the bed, your legs hanging over the edge. He pressed further into the kiss, becoming rougher and sloppier with his kisses. His hands were placed right at the waistband of your sweatpants. You touched his hand and moved his fingers into your waist band. He smirked into your lips as his hands found the bottom of your torso, the wetness soaking his fingers. He rubbed at your panties, trying to make noises come out of your mouth. You hummed of his lips, vibrating the space in between you two. He moved the fabric aside with his middle finger and dug his index into your core. Your hand squeezed his shirt fabric, making Connie cockier than ever. He started flexing and pumping his finger in and out of you, earning some moans of pleasure every time. You were in awe with the sensational feeling that you were witnessing at this moment, but then.
Connie's phone buzzed.
He immediately removed his fingers from you and placed them in your mouth. He picked up his phone with his other hand and looked at the notifications on his phone.
"Aw shit. Eren's on his way back. I'm sorry, Y/n." Connie sighed, taking his fingers out of your mouth.
"That's okay, seriously. It's not your fault." You pushed yourself off the bed and stood up. "I had fun."
Connie smiled at you, readjusting his pants.
"Yeah, I did too."
You opened the door and stepped outside, saying goodbye on the way out. You pulled out your phone and walked through the hallway to the stairwell at the end of it. Then a shoulder collided with your.
"Oh, I am so sorry." said the man.
He seemed to be a very sweet guy. He looked to be eighteen and had brunette hair that seemed to be on the longer side. The glasses he wore that had black frames that stood low on his nose. He was well kept and wore a white button up and black trousers. He had a slight blush on his nose and cheeks that was caused by embarrassment. His turquoise eyes penetrated through the glass lenses on his glasses. And surprisingly, he was around 6'0".
"No worries, that was my fault."
You brushed it off completely and rushed home to your dorm that was dim as could be, since Annie had already cuddled in piles of blankets, asleep. You grabbed a pillow and your blanket and shut your eyes, trying to clear your brain of every single thing that was running in your mind to try and doze off.
The following morning was the first day of classes and thank God you didn't have class until eleven or else you would've ripped your hair out. You woke up with the gleaming light shining in the window and opened your eyes to see that Annie had already left for the day. You woke yourself up and slid on your shower flip flops and went over to the communal bathrooms to take a shower and get ready. You slipped on a towel and dried yourself off and immediately got changed into some sweatpants and a t-shirt. You shoved on your crocs and ran out the dorm to the pathing roads. You had Computer Science today so you had to show up early since you had a good chance of pursuing it in your future. You got to class on time and sat near the middle of the lab. A couple other students were there, eating a snack or conversing.
Then the guy from last night walks in from the right entrance of the lab. You glanced up and smiled at him and then looked back down at your computer. He held his shoulder bag with both his hands and walked up towards you. He sat down a couple seats away from you and took out all his materials for class.
The class was going to start in five minutes and the teacher hadn't even shown up yet. The guy leaned in towards you and looked at you.
"Hi, I'm Eren." he said to you, trying to make conversation.
'Eren? Like Connie's roommate?'
You looked at him and gave him a small smile.
"I'm Y/N." you nodded towards him before looking forwards at the front of the lab.
"So are you majoring in Comp Sci?" he asked you.
"Nope." You started pulling out paper from your bag.
"Oh, so why are you in this class?"
You were taken back by that comment since you knew he wasn't trying to be rude, but the way he phrased it was poorly done.
"I'm just experimenting with different classes since I don't have a set major yet." you explained to him.
He seemed he wanted to keep talking to you, like he was really interested in you, but the professor stepped into the lab with a giant laptop full of premade code.
-
By the end of class, you had put all your papers and your laptop into your bag and started to get up from your chair. Then you heard a voice calling from behind you.
"Um, Y/N." Eren mumbled to you. You looked back over your shoulder at him, humming 'hm?' "Do you want to get some coffee after this?"
He was really sweet about it, not to desperate and not too cocky. He held his laptop in his hands, looking down at you, his eyes sunken in. You nodded at him with a smile and walked towards the exit, Eren trotting to catch up behind you.
What are the odds? Connie's roommate being in your class...
-
It was finally Friday of the first week of college and you were drained with all the new surroundings and people along with work that had already been assigned for the following week. It was nothing like highschool and you kind of regretted making fun of your teachers for warning you about college because they were right. The one thing they were wrong about was how fun it was. You had become acquainted with a couple people in your courses and some people who you encountered at the dining hall besides Connie.
Speaking of Connie, you hadn't heard from him or seen him since Sunday night, but neither did you care since he obviously didn't care enough to try and speak to you again. You had daily coffee breaks with the Comp Sci kid, Eren, where you talked about highschool and experiences in our hometowns.
He had told you to meet up with him early at the coffee house in the middle of campus really early in the morning. You followed his instructions since you had nothing else better to do and wanted to hit the gym early anyways. You arose at five in the morning and looked outside to see the faint light that was slowly rising from the horizon, the sun not yet peaking through the building of campus. You put on a sports bra and some mid thigh length shorts on and put a sweatshirt over your gym clothes. Looking over your shoulder, you spotted your water bottle, sitting on the long night stand in between yours and Annie's bed. Annie's arm was spread out across the night stand as her face was sunk into her pillow. Her hand was placed right on top of it. You grabbed her hand, trying your best not to wake her up, and grabbed it from her.
You slipped on your Nike blazers and walked out of the dorm, making sure not to slam the door. The walk down felt like forever since not a soul was awake and chatting in the hallways or common room. The sound of birds chirping in the early morning really reminded you of your hometown as you remember summer mornings with the same bird waking you up every morning to the smell of spring and summer combined. The air was crisp, but warm enough to walk without shivering. You found Eren standing in front of the coffee shop, shorts on and a college crewneck. This was the first time you saw him in anything other than formal clothes that he normally wears to your Comp Sci course. He looked down at his phone, his backpack on his broad shoulders. The wisps of his long hair draping over his forehead. He still had on his glasses though, shaping his defined face to look less intimidating. He caught sight of you, smiling as he glanced up. He stopped smiling and tried to tuck his phone in his back pocket, missing it completely. You started laughing as you watched him try and scramble to pick up his phone.
"Oh my God, is your phone okay?" you still couldn't help but laugh. He still tried to laugh it off with you, but his blush on his face said it all. He rolled his eyes at you and opened the door to the coffee shop. There was no one inside beside one girl who seemed to be trying to cram in homework. You got your usual order and Eren got a caramel Latte. He held his drink to yours, gesturing 'cheers' that people would normally do before drinking something at parties.
"Now I have a question for you, Jaeger," you stated firmly, sipping your drink while sitting in the coffee place.
"What did I tell you about that," Eren placed down his drink and looked at you. You had initially started calling him by his last name since you thought it sounded so much cooler than just 'Eren'. His face spoke a thousand words on how flustered he was by the way you addressed him.
"What? I'm being serious right now? Why am I awake at five in the morning for some coffee?" you question him, your arm softly slapping the table. He cocked his head to the side as if he were offended. He had become more relaxed around you recently, unlike the first time he met you. He was very uptight and nervous, but now he's more confident with his words.
"Oh, we have class at eight and I was going to go work out so this was my only free time before then," Eren admitted. You finished the last sips of your drink and stood up.
"Well we better head to the gym then," you waved Eren to where you stood by the door. You threw your drink in the garbage and opened the glass hinged door to the cold air once more. "I'll race you."
You started running to the gym that wasn't that far from where you were. Eren's voice echoed from the background that sounded like 'Hey, that's not fair'. The door swung open and Eren ran after you at full speed. You were at the stairs and he used his legs to skip steps, getting in front of you and beating you to the door.
"Don't feel bad, you just got your cardio in," he teased you. The two of you went into the gym together for the next hour, working on your body and your mindset.
-
"Shit it's almost eight," you said to Eren who just exited the gym locker rooms, wet from the shower. His wet hair seemed to become slightly wavy, the beads of water sliding down his face before wiping it off with a towel. He had slid on his khaki pants and put on his sweatshirt he had on before. You handed him his glasses, letting him put them back on before walking his way out of the gym.
The Comp Sci lab wasn't far from where the gym was so it wasn't going to be a hike on tired legs, but it still was far enough that if you didn't hurry that you would be late.
Your professor greeted you two as you stepped in this lab, rushing to sit at a seat to listen to his lecture of coding and interfaces. You sat there looking over at Eren's notes since you can't write down things fast enough. Eren smiles as he sees you doing this, moving his arm so you can see more quickly.
-
Class ended and you had to rush to the other side of campus for your next course, Calculus. You rushed in and sat at the closest seat you can find, trying not to make a ruckus. As you sat, the person in front of you turned around and looked at you.
"That's one way you can make an entrance," he says, his arm hooked around the back of his seat. His features were very prominent to his overall physique. He had caramel blonde hair that was slicked by with gel, with only a couple loose pieces to drape over his forehead. His hazel eyes were complimented with his deep brown eyebrows with a slit through the right one. His nose curved upwards with a small bump on his nose bridge. He had on a Ron Jon dark blue long sleeves shirt combined with some black sweatpants and some crocs. He looked down at your feet and then back up to your face. He studied your sweatpants that you put on after the gym. He cocked his head up at you, sticking his tongue to the inside of his cheek. "I'm Porco."
"Y/N," you responded back, grabbing a bunch of graph paper out of your bag and placing it on top of your laptop. You tried to ignore him since you really were trying to catch up on what you had missed in class, but he seemed to be persistent. He turned back to the front of the class for a couple minutes and then looked back to you to say something once more.
"Are you free tonight?" he asked you, in a confident tone.
"You're not asking me out are you?" you joked, not looking his way; continuing to take your notes. He nodded, accepting your smart response and looking forwards before continuing his statement.
"Well, if you are, I'm hosting a party at the frat house down the street from the main campus entrance. It starts at 8 pm, but you can get there whenever." He smiled and turned back to the front of the class, never looking back in your direction the rest of the class. You sat in your thoughts thinking about school work, mental health, and social life, trying to justify if partying is a good choice for the night. You had no one else to go with to the party because you knew damn well Annie wouldn't go.
You whipped out your phone and pulled up Eren's contact labeled 'E'. Your fingers glided on your glass screen forming the sentence, 'Do you have anything later tonight?' After hitting send, you placed your phone with the screen facing down on your lap. Almost immediately, your phone buzzed with two notifications, both being from Eren.
'I don't believe so.' stated his first text, 'why?'
The professor dismissed your course and you got up out of your seat. You dialed Eren's number hoping he wasn't in the middle of class and walked straight towards the door. Eren's voice whispered into the phone at last after your phone number for what seemed to be an eternity.
"Hey Y/N. What's up?" he mumbled. He seemed to have just woken up because his voice was rather raspy and whined ever so slightly.
"I got invited to a party tonight and I wanted to know if you want to go?" you said to him, waving to your professor as you opened the door to exit to the branching pathways of your campus.
"Yeah, well I just got done with homework and classes for the day and you just woke me up from a nap. I'm not the party type, but I'll come if you really want me to." he answered, groaning and yawning in between sentences.
"Perfect, can you come over later around seven?" you asked him. He hesitated as if he had fallen back asleep on accident.
"Sure, Y/N."
Perfect. He was going to come over later and you two were going to party tonight as some frat house with hopefully a lot of people so you could socialize with. Nothing will go wrong.
