Work Text:
Sharp scissors bite through rope and tape and Carol almost sobs as she feels Rachel’s hands pulling the last of the tape from her face, gently smoothing her hair from her eyes as she kisses Carol softly. She had been terrified at first, but she had always been logical and smart, knowing full well she had to do what she could to protect Carol, even as she moves to save her.
Carol’s asleep when Rachel takes her home, Rachel carrying her inside and locking them both in, aware that the sharpness of her thoughts will ease the longer she spends with Carol asleep in her arms.
