Work Text:
Lady Danbury had always been curious about Violet Bridgerton, the woman was soft and quiet but quite skilled when it came to finding love matches for her children, Daphne and Simon had been happy enough together, but Violet seemed solely focused on her children, as if she thought she could not be happy again.
Finding Violet away from the crowds in the gardens during a ton party she had been drawn to sit beside her, quietly resting a hand on Violet’s joined hands, squeezing gently and reassuringly. She knew how it could feel to be alone after all, and she hated that Violet could feel that way.
The two had walked the gardens when Violet had gathered herself and Violet found she was starting to think maybe, just maybe, a secret liaison in the gardens every week would do her the world of good.
