Violet isn’t sure what makes Lady Danbury ask her to take a walk with her, truth be told she doesn’t care. The two walk in silence for a while before Lady Danbury pulls Violet off the path into a secret walkway, the two are almost smiling but Violet knows this is risky, despite having been married, being caught with Lady Danbury could be perilous. She doesn’t care, she realizes, she just wants Lady Danbury to kiss her. The kiss, when it comes is soft and Violet almost keens into the kiss as she lets it deepen, risking it all to be happy.
