Work Text:
She pulls me in a tight embrace, and I break down, realizing it's all over. I couldn't control myself and raised my hands against my friends and, worst of all, my wife. Yet she comforts me and warmly says, "It's alright, my darling, I know, I know..."
She softly looks into my eyes, and my breathing calms down. Then she helps me get up, and we make our way to the safe place where everyone is.
In the darkness of the hideout, she leads me to an area to sit. Despite having a large fire, chills run up my spine, and then warmth showers over. She wraps us together in a blanket where I feel safe and warm. Everything will be alright. We'll figure out how to get everyone back. If it comes to the worse scenario, at least I'm here again where I feel strength and weakness in her arms.
