(Podfic) Boys Don't Cry

There is silence as Remus looks at him. A suffocating stillness that is anything but calm. There is punishment and absence there, hanging between them, a hurt so thick he thinks he could slice it open. His chest aches with how hard he is pushing down the need to cry. He wishes Remus would yell at him, scream at him, pummel him senseless. He thinks there could be goodness trapped somewhere inside him, somewhere deeper than the need to bawl. He thinks if anyone could find it, it would be this lanky boy.

Notes:

I want to start off by saying thank you to YouBlitheringIdiot for giving me permission to create a Podfic for your story! I'm really excited to start this project. I'm actually reading this story for the first time as I create this and am currently having the B E S T time. I'ts hard not to with such a talented author.

(Its still a lot of hard work though, but the good kind ☺️)

Since discovering Podfics, I knew instantly that it was something that I wanted to try. And I'm happy to say I think I've found a new hobby to sink some hours into. I hope to one day become a professional voice actor, so this seems like a wonderful way to start getting my 10 000 hours in.

Overall I'm happy with how this came out considering it's my first attempt. Editing kicked my butt (Some parts are louder than others), and about half way through I lost some of my consistency with my narrating voice, but overall I've learned SO much.

Chapter 2: To Get You Back To My Side

Summary:

James tries to help Sirius, Lily starts to rethink her opinion of Black and Potter and her friendship with Severus, and Snape finds his relationship with Lily is unravelling...

(Tw: mention of a physical attack now and past physical/emotional abuse)
