Happy Memory (AGA)

Summary:

A work in an AU i've been working on with some friends, I really post it for myself but if you wanna read it:

The guys get swapped with the girls:
Silvia/Aki gets swapped with Mark/Endou
Nelly/Natsumi gets swapped with Axel/Gouenji
Celia/Haruna gets swapped with Jude/Kidou
Bellatrix/Reina gets swapped with Xavier/Hiroto/Gran

There's more to this but these are the changes relevant to the work.

This takes place at the beginning of season 3, during the Inazuma National selections

Notes:

I use dub names, get fucked.

Work Text:

Silvia had barely recovered from the shock of being told about the National Selections happening  mere minutes from now  when she saw the group of very familiar footballers standing right in the middle of the newly rebuilt Raimon Academy's football pitch.

"Wow! What are you guys doing here?" The goalkeeper asked, earning a chuckle from most players, who all had this knowing grins on their faces. Like they knew she'd react like that.

"Guess you didn't expect to see us, huh?" The voice of Mary Time's smallest defender, Dora, spoke up from amongst the crowd, the girl still rocking her iconic Shell hat. Silvia never really figured out if it was a hat  shaped  like a shell or just a very big seashell, everyone was just too afraid to ask.

"Why didn't you all tell us you were coming?-" A voice from behind Silvia interrupted what the black-haired girl was about to say, as Nelly made herself known to everyone around. Delightful and Bossy as ever "-Have you guys never heard of a phone?"

"Well it wasn't our fault." A dash of pink hair spoke up from the crowd "Coach Hillman contacted us on such short notice! We had no chance of telling you."

"Oh really Sparrow?" The red-haired striker scowled at the ex-Royal Redux player, causing her to flinch slightly and Silvia to quickly try to take control of the conversation back before their ace striker scared everyone off.

"I'm sure we all have much to catch up on!" Raimon's captain quickly interjected before Nelly glared a hold through everyone's skulls "Why don't we all go chat with each other until coach Hillman comes back!" she gestured towards everyone that wasn't in the group waiting for her, some faces she recognized from the Football Frontier, some strangers, and for some god-forsaken reason, Marvin Murdoc was there too.

With Silvia's conversation-defusing skills being put to the test once more, as they often were in a team as chaotic as Raimon, she could finally let out a sigh of relief as everyone walked off to chat with each other.

The goalkeeper decided to follow her own advice, looking for someone to talk to.

Sparrow and Celia were chatting to one another, the conversation was definitely friendly so at least Silvia didn't have to worry about anymore " betrayal of Royal Academy " Shenanigans.

Their reserve goalkeeper, Peabody was excitedly talking to Shadow about something clearly important to him, perhaps he'd developed a new move in such a short time?

Miles and Nathan were talking with one another in a corner, nothing surprising about that.

And Nelly had decided to dramatically sit on one of the benches, somehow finding the perfect exact spot for the sun to shine off her hair making it almost glow, did she always have to look so perfect all the time? I mean have a bad hair day  once  for god's sake-

Catching herself from staring (again), the goalkeeper's attention was caught by the sound of Tod's squealy voice from not too far away, looking quite distressed about the person in front of him, an eerily familiar dash of blue hair that-

"You've got a lot of nerve coming here!" The squirrel-adjacent boy said, getting in the closest approximation of a fighting stance he could muster.

In front of Raimon's defender stood an outright  mess  of a girl, her hair disheveled and unkempt, with little branches sticking out in a few places, and the " suit"  she was wearing was ripped in some places and outright filthy like she'd been wearing it for months, while her face had something that almost looked like warpaint around the eyes, well either that or  severe  bags.

It was almost hard for her to say, but Silvia still recognized the girl, how could she forget her after all?

I̶s̶a̶b̶e̶l̶l̶e̶ Bellatrix stood right there, strolling about the school  she was responsible for leveling  like she owned the place, glaring down at the squirrel boy looking completely unamused.

Tod was "Standing up" to her, trying to make the girl leave, and by "standing up" he meant staying at a good five meters of distance from the faux-alien like she would bite his head off if he got too close.

"Oh, a school pet, I'm not giving you any crumbs." Her voice dripped with disdain for the boy in front of her, who flinched at just hearing how her voice sounded, much rougher than it was last time he'd seen the girl, then again that could be said for everything about her

"Don't you remember me!?" The brown-haired boy squealed "We played against each other when you guys threatened Osaka!"

"No, I fought  Woods " She corrected "Epsylon fought  your  team in Osaka, well except for that one scrub who I threw down the stai-" Saying that unlocked the memory inside Bellatrix's brain, who quickly started to cackle. Clearly, throwing tod off the stairs was a happy memory for her.

"W-Well I dare you to come here and laugh at me!"

Tod regretted that immediately, as Bellatrix disappeared from where she was standing, so swift even Silvia had trouble keeping up, only to reappear right in front of the squirrel boy, towering over him "Ha. Ha. Ha." She gave a deadpan laugh, looking like bloody murder while she was at it.

Thankfully Tod was  not  murdered by the blue-haired midfielder, who instead felt a hand grip her shoulder, causing her to turn to face whoever dared lay a finger on her.

When she turned around Bellatrix was met with Crimson Eyes equally as Icy as her own, Nelly had decided to step in: Unthreatened by the blue-haired girl.

The two didn't say anything for a while, just glared at each other for a few seconds to an audience of a very confused Silvia and a passed-out from fear Tod.

After a while, Bellatrix seemingly gave up on kicking Tod around like a football and decided to walk off.

"Some sort of Cool Striker to Cool Striker comunication I think!"

Willy spoke up from the sidelines, guess he was paying attention to this too.

Silvia just gave a heavy sigh of relief, thankful that no one had started a fight yet.

God, this was going to be a long day.
