Work Text:
Being a regular vacationer feels strange. Nobody’s chasing her. People are unaware she’s lined her clothing with several pilfered things, though. Someone catching her is tempting. Being caught would give her an excuse to pull off her stellar crying show. Vivi wants her to behave and simply enjoy the tourist experience, though.
Even as a regular vacationer, no one could have Nami's experience. Karoo’s pulling them along in a wagon, pausing to slurp from his drink and nod towards things. Whenever he's willing to pause? Vivi tosses him a snack and explains. Here is where Pell would bring her as a baby, fussing with colic and shrieking. because sleep couldn't overcome the pain, and a while the original building is gone? Her love is unwavering, smile shaking when she recalls the original crumbling into the sand.
“I think something new could be…” Her skin glows red in the darkening light. “You never know. Something new could be born from the sand. Maybe an orchard with tangerines?”
“You're giving a diplomatic proposal. I might develop an orchard and then run off with the treasure and tangerines.”
Her glowing skin darkens. “Would I go along?”
“I do intend on taking all the treasures.”
