“This is such a good fishing spot~ As expected from Golshi-senpai, you knew your thing.”
With a smirk, Seiun Sky reeled in her fishing rod. It was a perfect spot near the beach, slightly hidden from the sight of the public by its strategic location amongst the stones. Surely, they could catch big in this spot not too many people had seemingly known.
“Don’t underestimate me. It’s almost time to settle down our fishing match. But maybe not today, because I don’t wanna have the advantage of knowing my field, and I need to find a specific fish, too.” Said Golshi in return, reeling in her own fishing rod as she raises her sunglasses, tucking them away from blocking her view.
In the same team, they were, their interest in fishing had caused the two to talk together time to time. In a way, they were rivals in the terms of slacking, pranking, and fishing, far from the race tracks. Though if Golshi wanted to, Seiun will gladly face her in a proper race, it doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen soon. She’s that fickle, that Golshi-senpai is.
“Hee. What fish are you trying to find?” It was a new thing to Seiun’s ear that she didn’t hear yet when Golshi said she’d spare a piece of interesting information. “Maybe I could help. Sometimes, I can be somewhat like a good kouhai, y’know~”
“Well. It’s almost Valentine’s, isn’t it, Seiun.”
“…and?”
“Help me find a tuna. Gotta make sashimi.”
By this point, Seiun had already been used to her teammate’s random spouts, but somehow, she felt like there was something different than her usual thing. After all, Golshi-senpai wasn’t looking her way when she said that as if she’s hiding something. Being sharp as she is, and realizing that there was certainly only someone that could be in Golshi’s interest, Seiun grinned as she spouts out a commentary.
“Are you going to give that sashimi to Trainer for Valentine’s, Sen~pai? It’s your version of true love chocolate, isn’t it?”
“Any more comment regarding that and I’ll ban you from this spot forever with Golshi-chan Banhammer 2000”
Ouch. Golshi’s voice was surprisingly stern. She’s definitely serious, Seiun thought to herself. But instead, that just tickle her trickster self. She doesn’t want to lose against Golshi in this matter, anyway.
“That’ll trouble Sei-chan, so better not…” Seiun sighed. “But seriously, let’s be fair. You successfully guessed me and Flower were dating for a while. It’s okay to be open with your crush on her with me.”
“I’m not as obvious as you and that Nishino Flower. Besides, it’s not like we can date as easily as you guys with our status.”
Obviously, there are things to consider, like age gap, or even their status as a human Trainer and a Uma Musume—something Trainer’s family might not approve at all from what they knew of her-- but Golshi doesn’t even need to elaborate on that part as Seiun immediately gets it. Seiun giggled softly, not expecting such a serious answer from this fun-loving Senpai. Despite her look, Senpai’s quite of a thoughtful one when it came to her cute little crush on their Trainer.
“Sei-chan thinks it’s alright, though. You two are really a good fit for each other. No one can follow you as much as her, and we all on the team know that you like each other’s already.”
“You mean it?”
…Golshi-senpai closing in her with a serious face were certainly unexpected, and not something Seiun would normally see in their team room. In fact, she had dropped her fishing rod…
“Well, of course. You two are like peas in a pod---”
“Not that part, Seiun. The last part.”
Seiun blinked in confusion for a while until she recalled her words again. By then, she smirks playfully, and began to tease her Senpai….
“Well, well. Should I tell you who exactly knows about you two~?”
“Time to pull my Golshi-chan Banhammer 2000. Not only that, but I can also report to Trainer and Nishino that you’re slacking here.”
…it immediately backfires. No matter what, Seiun Sky needed this fishing spot outside the knowledge of the Trainer and Seiun’s own girlfriend. The last thing she wants is getting scolded by the two of them--- especially being scolded by Flower.
“Fine. Grass knows. She’s been a good friend of Trainer for a while, obviously, she noticed something was different with your interaction with her. Flower… well, we talked about it sometimes. Wondering when will you two stick together already.”
“How about Teio and Urara?”
“They’re too innocent for this. Doubt that.”
“Oh. Right. It’s them, after all. Give them 1000 more years and they’d only realize a teensy bit of it. By then I’d already take her hands for marriage, though.” Golshi picked up her fishing rod back after that comment. “Ah, I think I caught something.”
“That fast?! As expected from you, Senpai…” Seiun’s own has yet to catch anything, and she sighed. As the face of joy from Golshi radiates once she caught what she needed, Seiun couldn’t help but speak up.
“So, you’re thinking of marriage with Trainer already, huh? That’s cute~” Once again, Seiun smirks in a teasing manner. She’s indeed sharp when it came to teasing others even her Senpai, and for once Golshi regretted telling her about the whole thing.
“…. What does that mean?”
“Well. I just didn’t expect Golshi-senpai of all people would be such a maiden…”
“Geez, that’s so mean, Seiun-chan~ Golshi-chan is perfectly a cute young maiden who just wants to give her best for her love~,” said Golshi with a cutesy voice.
“Ah, I’d rather have the usual Golshi-senpai rather than the cutesy one… It’s gross, y’know.”
“You’d rather take a German Supplex than Golshi-chan Banhammer 2000~? Got it, Seiun-chan~ Please wait until I put this fish along with this fishing rod down at least…”
“I apologize, senpai. Please do not wrestle this poor little Sei-chan who’s just trying to fish something good here.”
