With a powerful, heavy strike, the Pyro Abyss Mage shrieked in pain until it hit against the tree bark and disappeared slowly.
Chongyun panted heavily, wiping the blood off of his cheek with the back of his hand while sweat rolled down on the side of his face.
Surrounded by the young exorcist, there are various corpses littered on the grassy ground. Mostly were five Hilichurls, one Mitachurl, and one each of Pyro and Hydro Abyss Mages.
Chongyun was in the middle of a field nearby at Dihua Marsh. He felt evil spirits loitering in the place earlier, so he checked it out. He was glad that he did because the travelers would be having a hard time crossing the Wangshun Inn or at the Stone Gate, and the villagers would be safe too.
With one deep sigh, he composed himself while he made his claymore disappear.
Suddenly, an anemo color Seelie approached him, looking at him in concern. Chongyun took notice of it, and he gave it a small smile in assurance. He was glad that the Seelie was safe in the distance, waiting for him to finish his duty first before approaching him.
"I'm fine." He replied, but the dark green Seelie began to float around Chongyun's head while the young exorcist chuckled softly in amusement.
"It's just a scratch on my cheek. It will heal." He comforted it. The Seelie stopped moving in mid-air, flying in front of Chongyun while making noises in disapproval.
Not wanting to feel the onslaught of emotions for scolding him later, Chongyun cupped the Seelie, kissing on top of its head while he sent him with affection.
The Seelie turned pink after Xiao received his message.
As you can see, these small, floating familiars were an ancient communication medium to send each other their messages, especially those users who were sending each other's emotions instead of words since seelies cannot speak, but they could make incoherent noises. After the special Seelie received their emotions, they would become more expressive towards the sender.
Chongyun knew that Xiao was aloof. When it comes to him, he becomes expressive and affectionate. Of course, he only showed that to him exclusively, and the majority would not realise the difference of his changed expressions, but he can because he wanted to learn about him until he understood him slowly.
The dark green creature stopped blushing, and it decided to move, pushing Chongyun's soft cheek gently like it was saying to move on.
"Hahaha. Alright, alright. I'll get going already. Let's meet up at Wangshun Inn, shall we?" Chongyun replied, and then he was off to his next destination while the Seelie followed him.
While he was walking away, the rest of the evil spirits' bodies dissipated behind his back.
His Primordial Jade Winged-Spear disappeared and also his mask as Xiao stood straight.
Behind his back, many of the remnants of gods or his enemies lie wasted and vanished. He was around the Guili Plains after feeling the familiar foul energy, so he get rid of it easily.
The Yaksha noticed the cerulean Seelie in the distance, seeing it distressed while whimpering softly in pain.
Worried, he quickly approached it.
"What's wrong? Is Chongyun hurt?" Asked Xiao in concern. The familiar answered him with a nod while giving the Yaksha some comfort by rubbing on his cheek gently, and Xiao tsked, whispering how reckless his lover was while he was sending to the Seelie that he was displeased.
He was ready to send his annoyance to the Seelie, but it beat him up when it floated near on his forehead, rubbing his dark green diamond-shaped tattoo while sending affection to him tenderly.
In return, Xiao turned flustered a bit, and he knew that his lover was trying to kiss him on his forehead sweetly.
The Yaksha quickly composed himself while looking away.
"Hmph!! Tell him to move quickly. We will see each other at Wangshun Inn as usual." The immortal replied, and then he and his companion teleported to their destination.
When Xiao arrived at the rooftop of the Wangshun Inn, he was holding a small box of chocolate.
Somehow, a lot of this thing was selling outside the Inn. The vendor easily gave it to him for free earlier when he got distracted looking at their merchandise, and he remembered that Chongyun loves to eat sweet things. He accepted the merchant's offering easily, wanting to give this to Chongyun for later.
Currently, he was waiting for him patiently until he heard his footsteps and the familiar soothing yang energy.
He pivoted the heels of his feet, facing the young exorcist properly.
"Adeptus Xiao." Chongyun gave him a small and gentle smile as a greeting while standing in front of the Yaksha.
Xiao nodded at him in acknowledgement of his presence. While the two of them were busy interacting with each other, their Seelies were being affectionate, floating beside each other while it looks like they were cuddling when it rubbed their cheeks.
"Close your eyes and open your mouth, Chongyun." He ordered him.
Confused while frowning, Chongyun did without hesitation, wondering what he was going to do. He trusted the Yaksha easily, knowing that he won't hurt him.
The cat slitted golden eyes focused on seeing Chongyun's cute pink tongue, and his eyes drew attention to his icy-blue long eyelashed. He felt mesmerised seeing his soft and innocent expression.
Xiao quickly opened the box of chocolate, getting the heart-shaped one while putting the candy inside Chongyun's mouth. After he placed it inside his mouth, he didn't hesitate to closed the box and put it inside his pocket.
The exorcist began to chew it subconsciously after it melted a bit on the tip of his tongue, tasting the sweet flavor until he swallowed it.
"Oh? It's sweet? Ah, it's chocolate." Chongyun rightly guessed at the candy. He opened his eyes, and their eyes locked each other gazes. Xiao's expression was impassive as always, but Chongyun could see that he was pleased while the young heir gave him a soft smile.
"Let me have a taste too," Xiao replied, and then his head leaned forward.
Chongyun's light blue eyes widened in surprise when Xiao suddenly kissed him, and his tongue slipped inside of his mouth, mapping it in every corner while Chongyun moaned softly.
He accepted the kiss easily, letting him dominate the kiss. After Xiao explored his mouth in satisfaction, their tongues began to rub each other passionately.
The Yaksha's hands cupped on his lover's face, kissing him as deeply as he can. He could taste the chocolate with a mixture of mint inside of Chongyun's mouth, which he loved it.
Their eyes locked against each other intensely in full affection as they continued to give open mouth kisses together until they pulled away breathlessly, and a thin string of their saliva connected to their shared lips until it was broken.
Chongyun wrapped his arms around Xiao's neck, and their forehead pressed each other while he gave him a small and gentle smile.
"I love you, Xiao," Chongyun confessed in affection.
Xiao's indifferent expression quickly changed into a gentle disposition, looking at him fondly with a small smile. His arms wrapped around Chongyun's waist.
"Hmph! I accept your affectionate offering." Xiao replied haughtily. Xiao wanted to tell him that he love him too, but he didn't know how to express himself that well. Having Seelies helped his emotional needs, but he was still improving.
"Really, Xiao?" Chongyun's expression changed stoically, looking at him in exasperation. He can't believe that his lover was like that, but he knew that their love was mutual.
Xiao sighed deeply in disappointment, and then he decided to do what he was best at, kissing him sweetly to express how much he loved him.
Chongyun groaned in surprise at the sudden kiss, but he quickly relented while chuckling softly, kissing him back tenderly.
While the two lovers were basking each other lovingly, the two Seelies began to move around playfully like they were dancing with the wind, and then they rubbed each other faces like they were kissing together sweetly.
