Summary
Patroclus was not quite as god-blooded as Achilles, but truly their backgrounds were not very different. He was second only to Achilles as a warrior among the youths at Phthia, and even at his age it was obvious Patroclus had a gift for tactics and diplomacy. Patroclus’s father King Menoetius had intended Patroclus to also go to Chiron before his exile. He was not Heracles or Theseus in pedigree, but it was only against Achilles and maybe a dozen or so men alive that Patroclus’s star did not shine as brightly. Patroclus had told Achilles he did not think about the what-ifs, but Achilles could imagine the disappointment of being a born prince with a minor hero of a father with aspirations to be the same or more only to become second somewhere else.
At 14, Patroclus thinks he settled into his life as an exile in Phthia, although sometimes his mind wanders to a kingdom or glory he can one day have himself. He learns, though, that an exile, however well-born, is vulnerable in ways he had not imagined but maybe is also capable of seeing the world brought forth by constantly warring kingdoms for what it is.
Attempted non-con with a minor. non-graphic but it's a pretty long scene
