Chapter Text
“Heeey.”
Kyoya’s brows furrowed, but he kept his eyes shut and tried to silently will you away. It didn’t work. It never did.
“You should invest in something more comfortable than your arms.”
He opened his eyes, but when he went to retort, you dropped something onto his chest which bounced and rolled off onto the concrete beside him. With a heavy breath he picked up the item, and held it up in front of his face.
He stared the little pompom keychain you’d given him. It was a far cry from Hibird, but the little black eyes and the small orange beak stared back at him, confirming it was indeed the bird.
He let his gaze drag up to you after a moment, and you crossed your arms stubbornly.
“You’ve never accepted any food offering I give on this day, so I figured your biggest soft spot would better fit your tastes.”
His nose scrunched up at the way you worded it, but looked back at the keychain, now confirmed that it was handmade for him.
“He looks a little stupid.”
“It’s not that easy hot gluing shit to yarn, you know. I burnt myself too many times for you to not keep the bastard, so shut up.”
Kyoya turned the little bird left, and then right. “He’s still stupid looking.” He laid the keychain down on his chest despite his words, then returned his arm to its position beneath his head.
“If he’s stupid lookin’ give him back.”
“No. You can’t take back something you gave away.”
You sniffed indignantly at this. “I’d take better care of him.”
“You can’t even take care of the real one-“
“He doesn’t let me!”
