Chapter Text

Allison, with her feet propped up on the coffee table, was flipping lazily through a thick medical book, glasses resting on the very tip of her nose.

Her work clothes were loosened, her vest draped over the arm of the couch.

You sighed and rubbed your temples with the palms of your hands, hair messy and falling in your face as you did.

"Are you alright, Y/N?"

You nodded and put your computer aside to stretch.

"I'll be fine. Just give me a minute."

She didn't look up from her book as you went into the bathroom to scrub your face clean. You looked at your tired face in the mirror, more washed out due to the bright lights that illuminated the small room.

You sat down on the closed toilet lid. Your hair fell into your face as you leaned forward to rest your face on your closed fists.

"Baby? Are you alright?" Allison asked from outside of the door.

" 'M fine. Just a headache."

"Can I come in?"

You reached over to unlock the door, and she stepped in.

"What's going on?" She crouched to the floor in front of you, cupping your face tenderly in her perfectly manicured hands.

"Not sure. I just have a really shitty headache."

"Where?"

"Just in front of the occipital bone."

She nodded. "Have you taken pain meds?"

"2 Tylenol, about 2 hours ago."

She nodded again. "Do you want to lie down?"

"I'm fine," you said again.

"So you won't mind lying down?"  she asked with a soft smile.

"Okay."

She took your hands in her warm grip before she dragged you to the bedroom. She led you to the center of the bed, laying you down as gently as she could.

"I'm going to get you some water, alright? I'll be right back, just holler if you need me."

"That would hurt," you said, voice soft, to which she chuckled.

"Well, then, you can whisper. I can't guarantee I'll hear you, but you can try."

You grabbed the belt loop of Allison's pants closest to you as she tried to get up. When she turned to you, you pulled her into a soft kiss. Her lips were impossibly soft against yours as she sighed into your mouth.

"Thank you."

She nodded, face bright pink, and left the room in a hurry. You pulled the blankets out from under you and buried yourself under them to block out the light of the room.

The door to the room shut, and you peeked over the blankets just enough to see Allison bringing you a glass of water.

"Do you want me to stay here?" she asked, to which you nodded. "Alright, then, move over."

She slid under the covers next to you and rested her head on your shoulder.

"How're you feeling?"

" 'M alright. I think I'm just tired."

"Why's that? Have you not been sleeping well? Are you getting sick?" She touched your forehead with the back of her hand, but you swatted it away lightly.

"I'm fine. Just working too much, I think. Getting up too early, going to bed too late, that kind of thing."

She shook her head at you, her expression disappointed.

"Oh, don't give me that. You do it, too."

"But I'm worried about you, Y/N."

"I'm fine," you said again.

Allison played with a strand of your hair as she said, "Take care of yourself. I don't want to know what it's like to live without you."

You kissed the top of her head. "I'm trying. I'm working through my caseload, so the next one should be smaller."

"You'd better hope so, or I'm fighting Cuddy on the spot."

"Noted."

She kissed the side of your neck. "Take a drink, it'll help your head."

You reached over with your free arm to grab the tall glass, then took a drink out of it. Realizing how thirsty you were, you downed the rest of the water.

"See? Isn't that better?"

You nodded silently. She traced a line over your sternum and up the column of your throat, ending at the line of your jaw.

"Other than being tired, how was your day?"

You shrugged. "Fine, I guess. Nothing great, nothing terrible."

"That's better than a bad day."

"You're right, as always."

She laughed quietly, music to your ears. Her soft breaths against your neck brought your attention to her lips. You tipped her face up towards you with 1 finger and kissed her.

"Beautiful Girl," you crooned, making her blush. "You're so damn kissable."

"Shuddup," she muttered into your shirt.

"Not until I'm done kissing you."

You flipped both of you over and kissed her again, harder than before. She whined softly into your mouth before you pulled away.

"Babe, isn't your head hurting?" she piped up as you traced down her sides with the tips of your fingers. She shivered.

"After the water, I'm feeling better. Isn't that nice?"

She nodded eagerly.

"Where do you want me, Princess?"

"Kiss me," she breathed out, yanking you into a rough kiss.

You obliged happily, dedicating yourself then and there to worshipping the angel under you all evening.
