Work Text:
It had been an awfully tiring day. The coach had decided to go extra hard on them today because it was the 14th of February and almost everyone in the team had a partner. The special date meant that neither their sleep schedules nor their diets were going to be truly respected, hence the additional work.
If you asked Kiyoomi, a guy who had never been in a relationship, it was completely unfair. If the people around him couldn’t be professionals for the thought of sharing saliva and other fluids with their significant others, why did it have to affect him?
It didn’t have to, but oh well, the damage was already done, and his calves were on fire even after laying on his bed for a whole hour.
While he was contemplating whether he should just go ahead and get his lower body amputated to get rid of the pain, his phone pinged with a notification. He had gotten a lot more than usual today, with his family group chat –the one that Komori always unmuted– going off with the plans the different couples had and the mocking singles joining in.

‘what r we doin today???’
He blinked and read the message again. If he changed the ‘we’ for a ‘you’, it made sense, Atsumu just asking about his bachelor plans to then gloat about his own great plans with his loving boyfriend. Essentially, that kind of friendly banter was their dynamic, having warmed up to each other after several months together in the Jackals.
However, the blond was asking what they were doing. 'They' as an unit on Valentine’s day wasn’t something that really made sense –objectively speaking. Regardless of his personal feelings about it, he knew that there was no reason to overthink it. It probably was a typo, anyways.
So, he typed what he thought was the most appropriate response for the time being.

‘???’
Concise, precise and straight to the point, that’s how he liked to live his life and also how he texted. It didn’t take long until he saw ‘writing’ under Atsumu’s name and a new message appearing on his screen.
From: Miya A.
‘SORRY! Asdffgdjb’
‘that wasd for my bf, unless……….’
‘jk, ttyl’
Kiyoomi couldn’t help the pang of pain deep in his guts he felt as he read that. Of course, he had foreseen that the first text was some kind of mistake. Of course, he knew that Atsumu hadn’t suddenly broken up with his boyfriend. Of course, he still had no chance.
Of course.
When Kiyoomi decided to sign with the Jackals, he took many things into consideration. The team had a history of winning the League, their opposite hitters would be retiring soon, the salary was competitive enough, they also offered accommodations and other perks… Like the fact that Miya Atsumu had signed a few years prior.
Atsumu, Japan’s undisputed starting setter after the magic he pulled in Rio. Atsumu, a guy around his age that always managed to get the best out of his spikers with a mere glance of their skills. Atsumu, the kind soul that kept him company at the different training camps when Komori wasn’t available.
And lastly, Atsumu, his teenage crush that he may or may not still have a thing for.
From: Miya A.
‘ugh, i hate him so muchhh’
‘he says he has to study for an exam’
‘THE EXAM IS ON MONDAY’
‘am i just supposed to spend THIS day alone???’
‘unless…….’
Only when the several ‘pings’ stopped, Kiyoomi decided to check their chat –and almost had a heart attack. The ‘unless’ followed by the ellipsis couldn’t possibly mean what he thought it meant, right? He backread and found the same message just a few minutes prior, followed by a clarification that it was meant as a joke.
So, he waited, expecting it to appear again.
And waited, fully concentrated on the ‘online’ sign under Atsumu’s contact, the one that would soon change into ‘writing’.
He waited for ten full minutes, until anticipation consumed him and made him write another eloquent round of question marks.

‘???’

‘wanna be my valentine’s???’
This couldn’t be happening, it had to be some kind of fever dream for the exhausting training. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time that his mind decided to play games with him. In his dreams, an awfully domestic Atsumu would love him back as he had been wanting since he fell hard for him as a teenager. Reality was different though, and Kiyoomi gave his mop of curls a tug to wake up.
It didn’t work, so he tried again, harder, and the same message was waiting for him on his phone’s screen.
Instead of the joy or maybe relief this should've brought him, he actually found it quite daunting. This can’t be happening.
Atsumu was in what seemed to be a loving and serious relationship. Kiyoomi had known the guy from before any of them even met the setter. The Mikage’s were practically family, if he went by what his parents always told him. Reo was the most tolerable one at the lavish parties they were forced to attend.
Yet…

‘pick me up at 6’
Ignoring the little voice of reason in his head that told him in about three languages how bad of an idea this was and the burning sensation in his calves, Kiyoomi stood up to get ready for his ‘date’.
A date that wasn’t a date, a date that Atsumu had planned for him and his boyfriend. A boyfriend that was busy studying hard to become a businessman. A businessman that would never cease to spoil his husband. A husband that would never be Kiyoomi’s.
Fuck Valentine’s day.
[...]
For the last ten minutes, Kiyoomi had been staring at Atsumu’s door from his place in the living room like a hawk, and then back at their conversation on his phone screen. They lived in the same apartment, it was incredibly dumb to tell him to ‘pick him up’. Also, they lived in the same apartment, what on earth was taking him so long?
There was a knock on the main door and he remained seated. Hinata and Bokuto –their other two flatmates– had probably ordered some takeout. Then, he remembered that they both had travelled to attend their own dates, real dates, so he went to open the door.
And, wearing some stylized white jeans that did wonders for his thighs, an oversized dark purple shirt that showed off his sharp collarbone and teased with a peek of his firm chest, and some combat boots that greatly reduced their height difference, there stood Atsumu in all his glory.
“Hi, Omi-Omi, are ya ready fer our date?”
I have been daydreaming about you asking something like that forever, obviously I’m-
“You are late.”
The words were said before he had a moment to register them, and he almost groaned afterwards. His cool and blunt persona was something Atsumu seemed to not mind, but it wasn’t at all how a date should behave.
Then again, this wasn’t a date, and he wondered how many more times he would have to repeat that to himself until it clicked.
Atsumu chuckled, not even blinking at his rude response, and explained that he had to change up his plans a bit to be more 'Kiyoomi-like'. “Ya watch every video at x2.0 speed, ya hate the movies, I had to find somewhere else to take ya.”
The speck of basic courtesy made his heart pound faster. This is going to be a long day. They took the lift and got out of the apartment complex, by foot, which surprised him a bit. Where exactly were they going? He couldn’t think of many date-worthy places to go around the area, not that he had been thinking about them as he counted the minutes to meet the blond.
He decided to ask and, apparently, they were walking to the newest mall that had just opened in the coastal district. It wasn't particularly close, but the path to get there was way more appealing than two or so hours spent watching a cheesy rom-com, as said by Atsumu.
“Omi, look at the sky, we HAVE to take a picture.”
The sky in question was bathed in gorgeous reddish tones as the sun set. Kiyoomi bit off the immediate ‘we don’t HAVE to do anything’ that came to his mind, and instead stopped in his tracks and turned in order to have the scenery behind him. Atsumu copied him and went to his side to try to find the right angle for their selfie.
‘Try’, because the task wasn’t the easiest to do. With the combat boots the blond wore, their height difference wasn't supposed to be a problem anymore. However, the imaginary personal space bubble around him that Atsumu always did his best to respect was definitely getting in the way.
There used to be a time, Kiyoomi could recognise, where the thought of any person outside his family circle touching him was uncomfortable. Never disgusting, or horrifying as some of acquaintances had guessed, just something he would prefer to avoid.
When volleyball transformed from a hobby to a passion, he knew it was time to change this. His college teammates had been his test subjects so that the Jackals could high five, pat, side-hug him, basically whatever their adrenaline infused bodies pleased after a great play.
Everyone did, everyone but one that is.
“Come here.” He stepped closer to Atsumu and grabbed him by the waist, allowing them to fit perfectly in frame.
Unlike the rest of the team, the blond had met him before, which meant that he had probably been on the receiving end of his younger self's rejection to touch-based celebrations. He understood at some point his reluctance to initiate contact, but that didn’t mean that he had to like it with how touchy he was with everyone else.
In those seconds they held each other, he wondered, because his brain was a traitor, if Reo also got to do this. And if he did, how could he keep himself from being 24/7 glued to Atsumu. It was the middle of winter, and this was the warmest he had ever felt.
About a dozen pictures were taken. Peace signs here and there, some where he was convinced to lower his face mask and one where they both stuck their tongues out. In all of them they looked great, like they belonged next to each other.
With a sigh, Kiyoomi released the blond and took a few steps in their initial direction. He didn’t manage more than that, because Atsumu grabbed him by the wrist and lifted his arm, to then link his fingers with him.
“One more! These are always so pretty…”
Using his free hand, Atsumu opened the camera app once more to take a shot of their linked hands. He tugged his hand gently to find a good pose and Kiyoomi let him do it with no opposition, too distracted with the way the calloused palm and skinny, long fingers smoothly fitted against his.
The pictures seemed nice, but he had to admit that his uneven nails –two broke in practice and he didn’t get to even out the rest– weren’t 'aesthetic' enough. Taking initiative, he chose to turn around their hands to have Atsumu’s perfectly filed ‘setter’ nails showing.
Later, when they were back to walking and no longer holding hands, Atsumu asked if he could upload the last pictures. “I won’t tag you, and everyone will just assume it’s Reo’s hand.” He added.
Kiyoomi felt his smile twitch, and he was glad that he was back to wearing his facemask. “Tell him about it beforehand and it’s fine by me.”
It wouldn't be fine, he knew it as he said it. He could already imagine sleepless nights staring at that picture, wanting to relive the moment, while thousands of comments reminded him that it wasn’t him who had the right to do it. Atsumu was right, nobody would ever expect anything different from a picture like that.
While his crush liked some of the comments on his new post that was unsurprisingly well-received, his own phone pinged. A pair of messages, and he was already proven wrong.

‘I’D REVOGNISE THAT ROLX EVERYWHERE LOVERBOY’
‘I LUV U MY HOMEWRECKER CUZ’
Many people could have a lucky guess regarding Kiyoomi’s feelings towards Atsumu. He tried to be subtle, but he knew for a fact that perhaps he wasn’t the best at it. However, Motoya was the only one who had gotten him to admit it, about five years ago, which also made him the only one to encourage it.
Despite him also knowing Reo and how long and serious that relationship was. Sometimes he wasn’t sure if he found this ironic or concerning, considering that Komori’s father had cheated on his mother which then led to their divorce.

Thanks to Atsumu being able to talk about pretty much everything, Kiyoomi was able to forget about the exasperated Motoya that was going to bite his ear off once he unblocked him. His cousin was just doing what he always did, snooping on his business, but it was keeping him from paying attention to his gorgeous companion, thus the block.
A block away, he spotted the sign of their final destination, the mall, and felt expectant. The cinema plans were substituted with the walk for his sake, but this part was what was originally planned. This was what the blond expected for a date, and nobody could blame him for wanting to know everything about it ‘just in case’.
Near the entrance, there was a small balloon stall where an elderly lady offered him a balloon in the shape of a heart. Kiyoomi shook his head in dismissal, just as Atsumu grabbed a bill of a hundred yen from his wallet.
“Pick one, Omi-kun, whichever ya like the best.”
His heart skipped a beat because of course it did, and Kiyoomi paused. Until now, they could pass off as pretty platonic friends who decided to hang out on Valentine’s day. Wouldn’t one of these balloons give the wrong impression? Reo and Atsumu were pretty public about-
“Come on, lover boy, pick so we can go eat, I’m starving here.”
Not even in his wildest dreams he had come up with that ridiculous –yet endearing– pet name, and it showed. His cheeks were on fire and he couldn’t pronounce any coherent sound. He reached for the balloon closest to him and basically ran to the mall. This guy and his antics from today were going to ruin him.
And he would thank him.
Atsumu caught up to him a few seconds later, smiling broadly, the way he always did when he was amused. “I wasn’t in that much of a rush, Omi. Hey, can you tell me what I got you?”
He signalled towards the balloon and Kiyoomi realised that the text written on it was in English, a language that the blond spoke with ease but had trouble reading. It said: ‘Do you like raisins? Let’s have a date!’
The pun managed to get a pity laugh out of him, which was way more than it deserved. He refused to translate it anytime soon and, as a result, Atsumu refused to tell him where they were meant to go next. This only lasted until his stomach growled in hunger and they ended up in a sushi bar by a rooftop.
Honestly speaking, he felt a bit disappointed by the choice. He had never been a fan of uncooked meat past lunch and, while he could go for something other than sushi, it would be weird in a restaurant like this. Like going to a western place and asking for chopsticks, or going for BBQ and asking for just veggies.
“Where did you hear about this place?” He asked, trying to fake some excitement and not ruin the dinner with his ‘eccentricities’.
“Oh, Rin told me ‘bout it,” Atsumu’s face softened at the mention of his old friend from Inarizaki. “It’s a chain from Nagano, the best yakimeshi he has ever had. Don’tcha tell Samu that last part tho’.”
“You came to a sushi place to have yakimeshi?”
Atsumu seemed taken aback by his question, he chuckled, to cover it, and replied. “Yeah, uh, there was this large portion of beef yakimeshi that I thought we could order, it comes with gyozas, pickled food and sashimi. Do ya want sushi? Thought ya didn’t eat it at night, m’sorry, I-”
Before he went on with an apology that wasn’t needed, Kiyoomi told him that the yakimeshi was fine –it was perfect. He was incredibly touched by his pick, and also later when the blond bargained with the waitress so that they could have hiyayakko instead of the raw sashimi.
While they were waiting for their food and drinks, Atsumu left to use the restroom. To pass time, Kiyoomi checked Instagram after ignoring the literal hundred notifications he had from Motoya before he was blocked. He liked and saved the first picture on his feed, the one where they were holding hands earlier.
And being the masochist he was, he checked the comment section. Like he had guessed as the pictures were taken, everyone was swooning. How sweet, lovely and plainly perfect ‘atsureo’ is.
It was said by both the fans and the acquaintances. Kiyoomi even liked a comment where Osamu told his brother to: ‘get going and let the guy eat’ as if it was meant for him.
Right , none of this was real, and it would most likely never be.
“Penny for yer thoughts?”
There was a glass of water put in front of him, he brought it towards him before his hand lingered alongside Atsumu’s a second too long. After a sip, he asked as a response. “What does Reo-kun think about ‘this’?”
“‘This’?” The blond frowned, not understanding him until he motioned to the restaurant decorated for Valentine’s day and the balloon he gave him earlier. “Ya mean our date? He’s chill, he has no right not to be.”
“Don’t say it’s a date just like that… you are taken.”
Reo wasn’t his friend and Motoya was a terrible influence, but Kiyoomi was a decent human being. Despite him never being in a relationship, he knew that being cheated on wasn’t pretty, and the saying went ‘Don't do unto others what you don't want done unto you’.
Atsumu had met a footballer in his first Olympics, swept him off his feet, and dated him since. He had been taken for over two years, and with no sign of anything resembling a breakup. That was an unchangeable fact in the foreseeable future. He just had to deal with it like he had been doing for months.
“What I’m hearing is, if I broke up with Reo right now, in front of ya, would ya agree to a proper date?”
YES, that was exactly it, THANK YOU, about time.
But also…
“You have a sick sense of humour, Miya.”
It wouldn’t be the first nor the last time that he heard a joke like this coming from him. Kiyoomi was sure that his infatuations would’ve stayed in highschool if he wasn’t the usual target of his shameless flirting in and outside practice.
However, modern day Atsumu was the biggest flirt, and he was only human. There was a moment in the past when he even thought he had a chance, and then ‘atsureo’ publicly announced their relationship and he was left all confused about what they had.
During the time they spent together today, there hadn’t been a single moment of true silence. The blond always made sure to bring something new to discuss, something interesting that would then produce its own intriguing subtopics.
After his answer, there was silence.
A silence that was cut momentarily when they thanked the waitress for bringing their food and they both paid thanks again before eating. It was making Kiyoomi crazy. He appreciated silence in general, but alongside the setter it just felt wrong.
“So… what’s your favourite-?”
“Gentlemen, in order to celebrate this beautiful day, we are giving a free sample of our own dry sake to the couples that honoured us with their love. My co-worker thought it applied to you, is she in the right, though?”
His attempt to remedy the situation was cut short by a waiter who came up to them with a small sake bottle in his hands. As he said it, he lowered his gaze to Atsumu’s exposed chest skin and raised it to his bright, chestnut eyes, fluttering his lashes innocently, and slightly licking his lips as he did so.
Kiyoomi recognised that look, and he didn’t like it one bit. It was the same one he wore when the blond’s shorts revealed a bit too much or he took his shirt off in the middle of the court on an awfully hot day.
That being said, he knew that there were limits, the waiter didn’t.
“He is my Valentine, of course we are together,” he said, in order to ‘help’ Reo, who wasn’t here to protect his relationship. Yeah, help, that’s why he also reached forward to grab Atsumu’s hand. “Leave, and tell your coworker to bring us some dessert, house’s pick.”
“Ya don’t like to eat sweets at night.”
Like before, this little proof that he knew him this much warmed his soul –and cheeks– and now that the waiter was gone, he sort of let it be shown. “But you do.”
Atsumu’s eyes softened with that, and Kiyoomi hated the hope that the little action ignited in his heart as it happened. He hated how little codes and morals seemed to matter, when he felt so much passion in a single look.
“Ya never answered my question, the offer is still on the table…”
He hated how easily he could be swayed. He hated how he was already able to throw everything away for a few hours experiencing what it was like to date Miya Atsumu. He hated Reo for not being here, for taking his boyfriend for granted and neglecting him, for allowing Kiyoomi to experience this.
He hated himself for leaning in.
Fuck Valentine’s day.
[...]
They had been eating, which meant that Kiyoomi had his facemask lowered. This also meant that when he leaned in, there was nothing stopping him from pressing his lips to Atsumu’s. Nothing on the physical realm, that is.
In any case, once their lips touched, there was nothing else he could think about but the kiss. He had been waiting for what it felt like forever to do it and he practically swooned at the first contact. Thankfully, unlike him, Atsumu was more experienced in the act of kissing and took the lead.
That’s how Kiyoomi found his new favourite thing in the world.
It tingled in a weird yet good way, sending a shiver through his spine. He tried to copy the blond’s movements to make him feel at least half as good as he was feeling. Partly, because he deserved it, but mainly, because he didn’t want this to end any time soon.
By accident, or maybe impulse, Kiyoomi’s tongue made contact with Atsumu’s lower lip, which made him groan quietly. The sound was like a melody to his ears and, boldly, Kiyoomi tried to hear it again with a similar motion.
He got it, and his ‘new favourite thing’ was rapidly replaced when it was the blond’s turn to kiss him with tongue.
This simple change altered everything about the kiss –in the best of senses. It was warmer, more passionate and, overall, miles better. His head felt light and his heart was pounding hard against his ribcage, the stimulus was addicting, now he understood all the fuss.
Atsumu withdrew a bit and Kiyoomi heard himself whimpering. Not yet, he thought or maybe said, because the blond carefully grabbed his jaw and pulled him in to link their lips again, getting a low moan of satisfaction out of him.
The next time they parted, there was a bop to his nose to push him slightly away. He pouted at the action, and Atsumu chuckled in return, his eyes seemed to stare at his soul as they sparkled bright. “Omi… Ya don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for ya to do that.”
It was a single word, a nickname actually, composed of only three letters, but it was enough to make him snap out of this fantasy. Kiyoomi had kissed Atsumu. Atsumu had a boyfriend. Said boyfriend wasn’t called ‘Omi’.
And just like that, Kiyoomi retreated as far as he could from the blond, trying to ignore how suddenly cold he felt. “I can’t do this to Reo-kun. He doesn’t deserve this, Miya, nobody does.”
There were about two answers that he could have expected. If Atsumu was the Atsumu he knew, he was loyal. He would freak out, tell him he was right, and they would never talk about this ever. If not, he would dismiss his statement and try to convince him otherwise –and he knew how much he would struggle to remain firm.
But he went for a third answer, one that hadn’t even crossed his mind. He laughed, he belly-laughed, as if he had just heard the funniest joke in history.
“What’s so funny?” He asked, his anger was rising up.
Clearly his feelings weren’t something to laugh at, or Reo’s for the matter –not that he seemed to care when he was devouring his boyfriend. Ugh, look at what you did to me.
“I’m single, Omi.”
“Sure you are, Miya.” Kiyoomi rolled his eyes, how convenient, he was just saying this now to convince him and probably tomorrow they were back together.
“It’s true. I broke up with Reo in September of 2017, I’m-,” the blond's easy smile dropped when he noticed he was the only one who found humour in this situation. He groaned, grabbing his hair in exasperation. “Don’t give me that look. Okay, I’ll tell ya, but hear me out ‘till the end, alright?”
Alright , he thought, let’s hear this excuse. He wasn’t going to believe anything that came from those lips, but he knew Atsumu and he wouldn’t shut up until he got to say whatever made-up story he had.
So, apparently, Atsumu and Reo started to have many discussions when the latter gave up on his pro-athlete career and focused only on college. Their lives and schedules were too different to properly balance their relationship.
Neither wanted to give up, but there wasn’t really a feasible solution. That is, until Reo proposed one that he thought could work, as it was quite logical to a practical guy like him: pro-volleyball or him?
Him who could offer quite the comfortable life after he graduated and got a high position at his family’s big-shot company. Him who had loved him for almost a year and would only continue to do so. Him who was everything he had ever looked for.
That day, Atsumu decided to sign for another season with the Jackals.
“When I met Reo, I thought he had some of the drive that we have, I thought he got me, I was ready to fall in love,” Atsumu admitted, he then shook his head with a sad chuckle that resembled more a sigh. “Without volleyball, I’m not me. When he went against that, it was time to go.”
Even if Kiyoomi and Reo weren’t that close, he knew that this was something he could see him doing. They were raised in the same manner: ‘excel at playing ball if you want, but at the end sit behind the desk that has our surname on it’. However, their skills weren’t as similar, that's why one had retired early and the other had years to come with the Jackals.
And even if he had started to hear him out swearing that he wouldn’t believe him, Kiyoomi recognised Atsumu’s vulnerability as honesty. This wasn’t only ‘plausible’, he could see it in the hurt chestnut eyes and in the way the plump lips trembled.
This was the plain truth.
“Do ya remember the big scandal involvin' the Mikage’s company? May 2018, you had just joined the Jackals.”
He did, a female intern that had worked there for half a year had accused both Reo and his father of sexual harrasment. The company had been really transparent, and there wasn’t any evidence but the alleged victim’s words. It especially died down when- Oh.
“I’m the first to believe the victims, but there was no way Reo did it. It allegedly happened when we were together and he just isn’t straight. He asked me if he could say all of that live, and then everyone thought we were still a thing. To avoid makin' him lose credibility, I went along with it. Just helpin' a pal, no biggie.”
Kiyoomi had seen the interviews, and had believed them too. He remembered facetiming Komori to complain. If broody, tall, athletic and rich was Atsumu’s type, it should have been him. He even called his mother, wanting to know every bit and piece that ‘Auntie Mikage’ could provide about her new ‘son’.
“‘No biggie’? To the world you were in a committed relationship for years,” Kiyoomi pointed out, and huffed when the blond dared to shrug at him. “I have been head over heels for you since I first laid my eyes on you, dumbass, but I respect a taken guy.”
“I’m SO breakin up with him.”
Determined like never before, Atsumu reached for his phone and quickly typed a pair of messages to Reo. He gave his phone to Kiyoomi, who was at first confused, thinking that he probably wanted him to correct his typos. Then, the blond slightly raised his brows and it sinked in.
Kiyoomi was the one to send the messages. He was the one to break up the relationship that had been the bane of his existance, and it felt great.
To: oREO.
‘im announcing our breakup soon’
‘monday after ur exam is cool for u?’
Since he still had the phone in his possession, he took advantage of it and went ahead to change Reo’s contact information to a less affectionate name. Atsumu found it amusing, and asked if he could get another name on his phone –’Miya A.’ was swiftly replaced with ‘Loverboy’.
Then, the blond found the over a hundred messages that Komori had sent him and it was a battle between the two for the phone. A battle that Kiyoomi ended up winning when it was blocked on accident and he was the only one who knew the password.
“I already have an idea of that convo,” Atsumu murmured not that long after, while eating his slice of cheesecake. “That’s how I got ‘lover boy’, ya weren’t really subtle.”
Kiyoomi hummed, albeit a bit embarrassed, drinking the last bit of his sake. “Can I tell him that you and Reo weren’t together anymore? He will mock me for all the times I said I wouldn’t be a homewrecker.”
“Ya sure ya aren’t? Ya didn’t know that when ya kissed-”
Atsumu’s phone pinged twice, loudly, so that’s why he always replies instantly. The blond checked it and laughed, offering it to him. He chuckled when he saw the first message, not finding the second one that much fun.

‘just bc you didn’t want to come to Tokyo for Valentine’s?’
‘My parents are throwing a white day party for their 30th anniversary, you know that’
It almost sounded like a demand, was he forgetting that this fake-dating was just a favour? Kiyoomi quickly typed what he thought was a pretty diplomatic answer, the phone’s owner approved, but also added his own input.
To: Mikage R.
‘Enough time to look for another date’
‘C u around!’
That was the last they heard from Reo that day, or at least the last they paid attention to. It was a beautiful night and these two had many years to make up for not admitting their feelings on time. Lord knows how much longer they would’ve gone if it weren’t for the date.
So, as midnight came to be, and Kiyoomi was allowed to embrace and kiss and love freely his ‘lover boy’, he had a change of heart.
Thanks, Valentine’s day.
