𝐻𝑒 𝒽𝒶𝓈 𝒶 𝓈𝒾𝒸𝓀𝓃𝑒𝓈𝓈 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓃𝑒𝑒𝒹𝓈 𝒶 𝒸𝓊𝓇𝑒.
Since the first day he can remember being alive, Kai Chisaki had sworn to himself to hate this world. He’d hate how powerful his quirk was and how mankind was overdrawn with diseases. But the most plaguing thing of all was the throbbing headache he had since his birth.
Kai Chisaki didn’t understand why – on the other hand, he didn’t even know otherwise – but a horrible migraine had been torturing him since he had first seen the light of this world. Every day was different for him, not knowing if he still had to lie in bed for another 20 minutes for the dizziness to go away or just stand up without tumbling over. It was a pain, really. Such a pain.
As the years went by, the migraine luckily lessened. Kai still didn’t get why the pain went away that slowly, but he wasn’t angry about it – in fact, the opposite was the case.
At the age of 20, when Kai Chisaki rose in the hierarchy of the Shie Hassaikai and became the new leader - a tragic incident regarding the former boss had occurred – he woke up one morning and the pain was as little as never before. Was it his persona as Overhaul consuming him while he’s sleeping? No, that couldn’t be the case.
After all, he’s not even Kai Chisaki anymore.
He is Overhaul.
And sadly, Overhaul has a sickness – and thus, he needs cure.
