   The smell was what she had noticed first.
   It was a sterile, chemical scent and it made her feel nauseous.
   Then, she noticed a piece of plastic attached to her nose, and the cool sensation it left on her skin.
   The awkward position that her head was in.

   And a general numbness that was spread throughout her body.
