Once Upon a time there was a king named Aoki, who ruled the large and mighty Inarizaki kingdom yet he was sad and had no children to inherited the throne.
A few years later twins boys were happily born. Two princes, who were given the names Miya Osamu and Miya Atsumu.
Kings and Queens came from all around to offer there gifts to the princes. Among them the widow Emiko of the Itachiyama kingdom and her young son Sakusa Kiyoomi.
Kiyoomi dressed in a long white Sleeved undershirt with a deep blue vest to bring in the small frame of the young prince, with black pants to match his head full of curls with two moles just placed above his right brow.
The young prince made his way up to the cribs that held the young princes. He had turned to look at each of the twins. Kiyoomi knew they were both still so young and despite his age, he wasn't so sure how he could tell the difference between the two.
Both babies had opened their eyes and look at the young prince before them. Looking at one that had a blend of deep grey in his eyes with dark brown hair on top of his head, he could not bother keeping his attention on kiyoomi for very long before looking away. While the other held his gaze with such curiosity the honey like golden eyes could manage, unlike his brother he had a slight lighter shade of hair instead of dark and smiled a tiny smile while looking at kiyoomi.
Once he had seen the baby smiled he reached into his pocket before pulling out a golden heart shape necklace and held it high in front of the prince atsumu. Tiny little hands reached for the shiney object and while grasping it he began to laugh.
It was then that Aoki and Emiko came upon the same idea. That Kiyoomi and Atsumu be brought together each summer in hopes that they will fall in love and join their kingdoms forever.
Unknown to all was another plan that the evil enchantor Akui. The twins birth was of little concern to him.
He and his young apprentice Daishou had left the celebration of the twins birth. For he was preparing to take Aoki kingdom. By means of the forbidden arts.
Akui walked into his tower on the far side of the castle, inside a single window barely providing any light through the dark old curtains, many book aligned on different shelves. Daishou was pouring different types of liquids into a large pot.
"I've just about added the last of the ingredients sir. " The young boy said.
"Perfect, your learning quickly. "
Akui picked up the last of it and threw it in. A puff of smoke had emerged and in it a great animal shape took form before disappearing into the air.
"It's done." Daishou said.
Akui had smiled wickedly at it.
"In a few day we shall attack and I will finally rule this kingdom. An when my time has come to an end you my dear child will finish my work for me."
On the eve of his assult Aoki attacked and with help from one of his trusted mages Akui powers were plunged into darkness.
Akui along with Daishou had been handcuff in chains an tied to horses with the Kings guard as they were lead out to the edge of the kingdom, the king had released them, despite the kingdoms call for his death. The enchantor and his young follower was only banished.
Akui began to walk into the Forest but before he could be submerged by the shadows of the trees, he turned around and look directly at the King who sat upon his horse surrounded by his king's guard.
"Im not finished with you yet! Someday I will get my powers back and when I do, everything you love will be mine!"
And with that final word he turned his back and disappeared into the shadows.
Many fear King Aoki to kind.
In time the threat was forgotten. And all hopes turned to a not to distant Summer when Kiyoomi and Atsumu would met.
