Chiyu sits back in their chair after spending a blur of time composing a new song. She doesn't particularly know or care what time it is, but what she does know is that she's in need of some comfy time with a very special person, especially after using up all her brain juice. Perhaps they could go and spend some time making dinner together, or cuddling, or maybe even holding hands...
But, wait a second. There was something important that Chiyu wanted to do that had everything to do with her epic girlfriend, Pareo. What was it? Chiyu racks her brain a little, pawing at her chin in deep thought until it hits her. They specifically remember Pareo requesting that she use some "gender" words for her, or maybe even some fresh new pronouns. It's certainly a change, and Chiyu knew that it would take some getting used to, but they're determined to do their very best. Alright - now that she's all done with work, and Pareo's not around at the moment, now would be the perfect time to try using those new words.
Chiyu grasps at her hoodie pocket. Why does she suddenly feel nervous? She can feel her face heating up at just the thought of her girlfriend. They shake their head - come on, Chiyu, focus! Now is the time to say something really cool and gender to make their girlfriend happy.
"Hmm," they grumble to themselves. "I... I love my girlfriend." Getting there. "...My girlfriend... He's so cute and cool."
She nods to herself. That's a good start, right?
Pareo had always been cool, in Chiyu's mind. The way she embraces every part of herself, the way she plays the keyboard so prettily and the way she had grown to be so unafraid of showing everyone who she is... Pareo really is the coolest girlfriend ever.
"She's... My wife. Well, of course, we'll get married when we're older. Mm..." Chiyu crosses her arms, pinching the soft hoodie material between her fingers. "She's so awesome and epic. I love him so much..."
She yawns, getting herself comfy as she leans on her desk, face smooshed into her sleeves. "Pareo... Pareo is my......."
And just like that, it was lights out for the little cat.

They sleep soundly for a while, letting out some quiet chirps in response to an eventful dream they're currently engaged in, before feeling a familiar warmth on their forehead. Pareo had just planted a tiny kiss there, softly petting her sleepy girlfriend's head.
"Chu2-sama~" Pareo sounds a little worried, but endearingly so. "Next time, please nap in your bed! You have to sleep comfortably!"
Chiyu murmurs a little apology, rubbing their eyes as they turn in their chair to face Pareo. "Sorry..."
Upon recalling what she had been doing just before falling asleep, however, Chiyu's cheeks are flushed a gentle pink.
Pareo lets out a queer little giggle. "Did Chu2-sama dream about something nice~?"
Wah. Pareo had always been very spot-on with knowing exactly what her girlfriend is thinking just by looking at their expression.
"Well, I suppose I did," Chiyu starts, putting her hands on her hips. "But you see, I was just thinking about my girlfriend and how cool he is a bit too hard and I ended up falling asleep and-"
Chiyu looks up at her girlfriend to see the hugest stars in her eyes with an absolutely astounded, starstruck look. They imagine this is the expression that Pareo had when she went to one of Pastel*Palettes' concerts for the first time. Pursing their lips, Chiyu feels their entire face burn up as they realise - oh my god, they did it! They did the gender thing for their girlfriend! Win! Success!!! She. She really said it. Oh man oh man. And on the other hand, Pareo feels like she's absolutely ascended into the highest of heavens full of fluffy clouds of very lesbian and very gender feelings. His precious meow meow girlfriend really did it!!
Wanting to fill the gay silence, Chiyu clears her throat. "A-anyway! As for my dream, we took over the universe together, of course. But we also adopted all the cats in the world together as well. Isn't that the coolest and most awesome dream ever?"
Pareo could nod forever if he could. "Yes, yes, of course! That sounds oh so incredible, Chu2-sama!" Her eyes sparkle like jewels in the studio lights. "We could make it come true!"
...Chiyu nearly lets out a meow. "Oh, Pareo, we will make it come true." They reach up to hold Pareo's hands, and it's like they're about to say their vows. She gives her girlfriend's hands a little squeeze in reassurance. Together with all the thoughts of being with Pareo forever, of loving the most amazing girlfriend ever, and of being a very brave and courageous gay cat, Chiyu musters up all their courage.
"...I-I love you!"
Pareo didn't think she could get any gayer or lesbianer - or maybe she did, because in actuality, he falls more and more in love with his precious marshmallow treasure with every passing day.
"Chu2-sama, I love you too~!" Pareo's voice wavers, at the brink of crying from sheer joy. "Thank you ever so much for doing that for Pareo...!"
Chiyu grins. "Yeah, it's no problem at all. I'm glad you told me, especially if it makes you this happy." They hop off their chair, still holding Pareo's handsies. "It's nice... Seeing you smile like that."
Now Pareo actually starts crying.
"Hey, Pareo...!" They attempt to wipe his tears but remember their... height difference and quickly return to holding hands. "Come on now..."
She instinctively circles Pareo's waist with her arms and pulls him in for a hug. "You know I'd do my best to make you comfortable. Because, y'know... because I love you so much," they say softly, voice muffled by soft girlfriend sweater.
Pareo nods, and nuzzles her girlfriend's head (while also trying not to cry onto their hair), returning a gentle hug.
After sharing the moment, Chiyu pulls away just a tiny bit and stands on her tiptoes in an attempt to kiss their girlfriend. Pareo has to lean down, after a little giggle at how adorably silly her tiny girlfriend looks - before planting a tiny kiss on their lips.
"Thank you, Chu2-sama," Pareo sniffles. "I'm so happy...!"
Chiyu gives him a very cool smile. "Of course. Everything about my girlfriend is really cool. I love him so much." She buzzes with so many mushy lesbian feelings.
"I love everything that makes you you... Reona."
Pareo's brain experiences a gay malfunction. His heart explodes. Lilies bloom everywhere around her.
"Ch... Chu2-sama...!"
"You heard me..." Chiyu blushes from ear to ear. "Come on. Let's go and cuddle or something."
"Oh, yes, of course, Chiyu~!"
Chiyu feels like they're floating.
