Leopardfoot didn't know what to do anymore. she lost so much recently... Leopardfoot knew that getting with an older tom was stupid. yet she did it anyway. Pinestar didn't groom her of course. she was an adult when she made her choice. yet at the same time, Leopardfoot regretted it so much.
Leopardfoot is starting to hate toms. she knows that she is attracted to them. but because of her trauma, she can't help but feel afraid of most older toms now. she is bisexual though, with a high preference towards she-cats.
but Leopardfoot became mates with Pinestar anyway. from what she could see he was a loyal and hardworking leader. one that would never leave his clan... hah, it was funny how that ended up playing out.
Leopardfoot got pregnant with the tom's kits and she gave birth to three kits. two she-cats named Nightkit and Mistkit and one tom named Tigerkit. but Pinestar didn't watch her give birth and her birth was bad.
Nightkit and Mistkit ended up dying soon and then almost directly after that Pinestar left, leaving Leopardfoot alone. Leopardfoot of course has her friends. although Bluefur is seemingly going through her own trauma.
Leopardfoot is also friends with Rosetail, Featherwhisker, and other cats. but she's just too scared to talk to them. she doesn't want to lose or chase away any other cat she loves. she just wants to be safe. but right now she was beyond paranoid.
her current son, Tigerkit was alive although he was scrawny. he was around a moon old though and hopefully, he was going to live. if he didn't live.... well, then Leopardfoot wasn't going to live much longer herself after that.
Rosetail glanced at Leopardfoot and she felt pity pulse through her. she and Leopardfoot were best friends before all of this happened and Rosetail wishes that she could take away any of Pinestar's remaining stupid lives.
she just wants to comfort Leopardfoot and hold her close... although Rosetail doesn't know how to talk to her. sighing she decided to grab something from the fresh-kill pile and give it to her. after all Leopardfoot was starting to look just as scrawny as her son.
"here you go," Rosetail said, dropping a mouse at Leopardfoot's paws.
Leopardfoot stared blankly at the mouse. a part of her wanted to eat. she really did. but she doesn't deserve it. she's too tired to eat.
"I'm not hungry." Leopardfoot lied.
"that's a lie." Rosetail pointed out. "you haven't eaten in days. it isn't like we have a storage of prey. just eat."
"no." Leopardfoot's reply was simple and she closed her eyes. she hasn't eaten or left her nest at all besides to make dirt.
she even has a pile of moss with water in it in the nursey. although Leopardfoot was starting to admit that it did smell and Whitekit and Snowfur pointed that out often. which only made her angrier.
Rosetail knows that she can't force Leopardfoot to eat. but she's hoping that the black she-cat will at least eat something.
"please. I'm worried for you." Rosetail said, concern in her eyes.
Leopardfoot felt bad. but she still wasn't going to eat. "That sounds like a you problem. not one that concerns me," she said, realizing that she sounded rude. but at the same time Leopardfoot didn't care. she was too numb.
"Leopardfoot. you do realize that if you don't eat your milk is going to dry up and then Tigerkit will starve?" Rosetail asked, hoping to strike a nerve.
"I'll only take a bite." Leopardfoot then leaned forward and took one bite. the food felt dry on her tongue despite being freshly caught. she was so tempted to throw it up. yet she forced herself to swallow. the bite was meager and she knew that Rosetail was going to be disappointed in her. "There."
"I'm so proud of you." Rosetail purred, leaning forward to nuzzle Leopardfoot.
that surprised Leopardfoot. "I only took one bite of prey. there is nothing great about that." she pointed out.
"it's a small step." Rosetail admitted. "but a step nonetheless. here, how about I clean out your nest? we can talk and Tigerkit can play with Whitekit."
Leopardfoot felt scared slightly at the thought of Tigerkit leaving her sight. but she forced herself to calm down.
he's in the safety of the thunderclan camp. he's going to be fine... completely fine... she reminded herself. but then again so were Nightkit and Mistkit... Leopardfoot then forced her thoughts away, not wanting to think anymore.
"fine." was her only reply. she then nuzzled Tigerkit who leaped up.
"w-what?" Tigerkit asked.
"Why don't you play with your friend, Whitekit?" Leopardfoot suggested.
"Okay, mother!" Tigerkit said, grinning as he ran off. Leopardfoot's heart began to beat as she watched him run. she tore her gaze away.
"don't worry about having to do anything. I'll clean your nest out for you." Rosetail offered.
"I think I can do something... or at least I should." Leopardfoot sighed. she then got up and padded out of the nursey. "I'm useless, aren't I?"
"Of course, you are not useless! you are just going through something..." Rosetail pointed out.
"I should have realized Pinestar was a bad cat... god I hate men," Leopardfoot said, glancing down at her paws.
"don't we all?" Rosetail chuckled. she hauled all the old stinky moss out of the nursey's den and then threw it behind the medicine cat den. where the old moss was normally kept.
"but don't worry. nobody here thinks Pinestar is in the right. he was such an idiot. if I was your mate I would never leave you." Rosetail spoke when she was back.
Leopardfoot's eyes widened. "w-what do you mean if you were my mate?"
Rosetail's heart dropped. she did have a crush on Leopardfoot for a while now. but she just didn't bring it up because she was with Pinestar and everything that was happening recently.
"I-I Uhm." Rosetail licked her chest tuft. "I don't want to reassure you into anything. especially after what happened with Pinestar."
"so. do you have a crush on me then?" Leoaprdfoot had liked Rosetail for a bit now. but she just never brought it up after she got with Pinestar.
"I do," Rosetail admitted.
she got new moss and placed it into the nursery. Leopardfoot was by her side making sure each nest had an equal amount of moss. although Rosetail secretly added in a little more for Leopardfoot's nest.
"But I'm not going to force you into anything. especially after what happened to Pinestar and your kits." Rosetail repated.
Greif struck Leopardfoot's heart. "I love you too... but at the same time I just can't deal with a relationship right now."
"it's fine. I understand. we can remain friends." Rosetail purred.
"no. I want to try something out..." Leopardfoot then thought. "Can we just take this slow and not declare it to anybody yet?"
"of course." Rosetail then nuzzled Leoaprdfoot. "Don't worry. we can be as slow as you want with this."
Leopardfoot smiled. she hopes that Rosetail is going to be a better mate than Pinestar. a part of her knows this. but at the same time Leopardfoot is just so anxious...
"how about we watch Tigerkit play?" Rosetail suggested.
"Sure." Leopardfoot smiled. watching her son would make her feel much better.
the two she-cats sat next to Snowfur and watched as Whitekit and Tigerkit playfully fought. Rosetail wrapped her fluffy tail around Leopardfoot's back and Leopardfoot leaned forward.
Leopardfoot feels somewhat better now that she knows Rosetail is on her side. she just hopes that Rosetail won't leave her as well.
